Garage Door Service

We called for service Friday at 4 pm, and the repairman came Saturday morning. Mike gave us an estimated time and called when he was on his way. He replace the broken cable and its mate with one that was more substantial. He was efficient and pleasant. I couldn't be happier with the service.

He replaced our old wooden garage door with a new replacement door that looked very similar to the original one. He quickly identified a door that would have the look we wanted and the price was similar to other non-wood options. He was very pleasant to work with and went above and beyond the call of duty. (We didn't get his message that he was arriving to do the installation and he cleared a bunch of stuff out of the way in the garage so he could get to work.) Would definitely use him again.

The pulley cable on the old garage door broke a week or two before the holiday season December 2013. Called Garage Door Service to have them come check it out and see if they could replace the cable. They were able to, but highly recommended we consider replacing our entire system due to the age of the door and not being safe for our young children. After doing some research on our own, getting some quotes/estimates, we decided to move forward with Garage Door Service because they had been great up to that point. They were not able to come out to install the new system until early January 2014 due to the holidays, but other than that everything about the experience was fantastic. Great people to work with and did a great job. Our Door is now a tight seal which has helped a little to keep the warm air in the house this frigid winter (we have an attached basement garage). I highly recommend this company! Great service and great prices.

Replaced garage door opener and remotes

Mike showed on time and replaced both coils. He installed additional parts he felt were needed at no added cost and cleaned up after himself. He was quick and efficient and honored the senior discount!

I have backed into the garage door and destroyed the bottom portion of my wooden garage door. I called Garage Door Service and Paul Holscher came out the same day to look at the damage. He could have tried to sell me a new door or two doors to match. Instead he thought he could locate a fairly descent match for the lower portion of the door and just replace that portion. It took him a few days to locate the part but came out today and installed it. I am so very pleased with the workmanship and the part matches perfectly and once it warms up enough to paint it you would never know anything had happened.

I made sure I was home at noon and waited there until 3:00 for Garage Door Service to arrive. At 3:00, I called to check on the appointment, and they had no record of it. The receptionist claimed that someone else had been working on the day I made the appointment, and that person was not currently there to ask about it. The receptionist offered to have someone call me to schedule a new appointment; I declined.

Excellent. Both times Ed was out he was punctual. He called to say he was en route and an estimated time of arrival. He was professional and got the job done to my satisfaction. I highly recommend him.

The company was prompt in returning our call, arrived when pomised. The provider was very friendly , professional and did a good job We will definitely use them for any future needs

I was referred to them by a family member. I called to get an estimate and Mike came the next day to give me a quote. The door and window combination I wanted had to be ordered, but when they came in we set a date for installation and Mike showed up on time and did a very professional job. He installed new tracks, weather stripping and the doors and was finished with both doors in about 2.5 hours. I am very pleased with the results and I think the insulated doors will make a huge difference this winter. Even with the cooler nights so far this fall, the garage stays warm.

Very good overall. I ordered a flat panel door which was a special order. The only negative was that I had to follow up with him after 3 weeks had past to check on the door. Many positives though - He came out quickly to offer an estimate. Then after installing the garage door I needed a new carriage for my opener and he just charged me for the part. Also, once the door was installed the opener was not working properly. He tried new eyes and that didn't work. Ultimately he rewired the eye on one side and only charged me an additional $20. I value the integrity Mike demonstrated. He didn't charge a bunch for the extras I needed (new carriage and rewiring). I would recommend the company to a friend and I would hire them again.

Very well. Came on Sunday. My garage door spring broke. He had the part on his truck.

Excellent service called at 7am and the door was fixed by 11.

My brick row house with a detached garage needed a new garage door. I found Garage Door Services using Angie's List. Ed Billhimer answered my call promptly and professionally. He provided me with a steel garage door estimate that included installation, framing and badly needed brick repair. (His estimate also included optional services for electric hook-up and an automatic garage door opener which I did not purchase.) My door was ordered on 4.10.2012 and installation was completed on 5.2.2012. The door looks and operates great. Ed was communicative and professional throughout the process.

Saturday morning I called the subcontractor that had installed garage doors to the house we built six years ago. The owner answered the phone and I complained to him that after only six years the garage door had been repaired before and this was the second time to call them for yet another repair. It was the owner who answered the call. He was a real gentleman as I excitedly complained to him. He told me door springs are like car tires. The more frequently you use them the faster they lose their usefulness. He told me that the ones manufactured today are not as durable as ones in the past. I asked him when he could come out to fix mine and he said in half an hour. Within that time he came and replaced both springs even though it was only one which was broken. He charged me for only one. Owner took care of the problem to my satisfaction and was able to calmly explain what might have happened.

Replaced opener unit. First tried to save $ by replacing gears in old unit. When that didn't work, he gave us credit for that work towards replacing the unit. Busy guy, but very professional. Came the same day we called.

Very professional, straight up and took care of the problem in a very timely manner. Came and resolved my "emergency" and gave me a great sense of relief!!

I have used their services three times for my garage door. They provided excellent service and I happy with them. Their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

The repairman arrived on time. He explained the system we have including its limitations. He showed us the internal device and how it works. He reset the codes of the keypad and remotes. He repaired the internal device to keep it in good working order.

A friend of mine had told me about Garage Door Service of Cincinnati. She expressed that not only had they been able to accommodate her service needs but they'd been punctual to do the job and had operated with machine-like efficiency to get the job done. Not long after, we, too, found ourselves in need of garage door repair, so I called them myself. I found my friend's description to be accurate. They arrived on time, assessed my needs, explained my options, and set to work. They performed extremely expedient work which has been proven to be effective. It's been half a year now, and I've had no further issues. We'd had a broken spring, which they replaced with 2 springs, and all is well. I would certainly recommend their services.

Someone tried to pry open our garage door at the back of our house, twisting the tracks. The repairmen came out and quickly took care of the problem, twisting the track back into place. The track actually works better now than it did before.

The cost was reasonable and it took a while. He had ordered the garage door so it about a month from the time he came out and gave the estimate to the time he put the garage door so I was a little disappointed with that. It was a beautiful job and they did it fantastically. These were metal doors that I had before; they were part of the original house. This is a nice house and a beautiful neighborhood.

Service was outstanding. Scheduled us in promptly and repaired what was asked. His price beat 3 other estimates we had been given. Mike was also very nice.
