Garage Door Service

Description of Work: Garage door collapsed on coldest of year in January. GDS came out within a few hours and determined the door needed to be replaced. Ordered new door through via special order because of odd size. GDS put the old door back up for security purposes but detached the opener. Unfortunately part of the door again collapsed within ten days and we had to secure the area with thick plastic. After about five weeks the new door arrived and was installed. The installation was well done. The only issue, other than the amount of time to get the door, is that now the opener is not closing some of the time. I'll keep an eye on this to see if I have to call GDS back. The installers were professional and courteous.

Mike was able to make some adjustments on our garage door so that it now opens and closes easily. He was courteous and explained what he was doing as he went along. I was very pleased with his work and the outcome.

Description of Work: Mike did an excellent job! Would definitely use Garage Door Service again. I explained the issue over the phone and he diagnosed the problem as a possible sprocket issue. He came out and sure enough the sprocket had seen better days. He replaced it, made adjustments, and oiled the door. Good as new! For information, I previously called a large garage door service company and explained the issue, and the person on the phone recommended a new unit without benefit of actually seeing it first had. I told them no thanks and kept making calls. So glad I did!

Description of Work: A new garage door was installed and the old one was taken away. We were very satisfied with the service and professionalism. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: For $160 Ed Billhimer, the owner, replaced the two large springs (he used 120 weight). This price is entirely in line with other estimates I got over the phone with two other companies and less than half what I paid a month earlier (having not done my due diligence) when two springs on the other garage door were replaced by Capital Garage Doors (100 weight) for $440.
