They were prompt, professional and economical. They did more work than I originally requested and did it all to my complete satisfaction.

They exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond in every detail. I can't recommend them enough! No, they aren't the cheapest estimate you'll get but they are true perfectionists and take care of everything. Where my last painter didn't remove wall electrical covers and outlets, they did. They redid trim that wasn't a part of the estimate to ensure everything matched. She even used extra paper from the bottom of the rolls to extend the pattern over the doorway (even though I didn't order enough to do so) and took extra care to match the pattern, saving me tons on an extra roll. My room looks incredible.

This was my first experience hiring a service. Normally we do our own work, but we just moved to the area and chose to look outside the box for painters this time. I am very satisfied with Bev and Lee's work performace. They not only did a fabulous job with their painting skills but they also helped me hang my curtains and look at other paint colors for future painting projects. Their ideas were much appreciated. Bev and Lee were very responsive--listened well, were easy to talk to and helpful in clarifying choices and options, and were willing to share their experience and expertise to offer direction when asked. I was impressed with how well and respectfully they communicated with each other throughout the job. The original plan was to have them paper two walls and the soffit, but then Bev said she could get the third wall out of the amount of paper I had ordered, and she did! Lee recommended getting rid of the quarter round around the ceiling of the kitchen and just taking the paper to the ceiling. He was absolutely right about that, but it required his mudding in the crack at the top of the new drywall, so that added a little extra time. He also suggested that new baseboard would look a lot better than the cove base that was in there, and once we figured out the logistics of being able to move the fridge with the added baseboard, that was also a "winner" of a suggestion. Bev is wizard with wallpapering. She matched the seams beautifully and took great care with showing the design to its best advantage around the windows and doorways. She also has a good touch with the caulk gun, hiding a multitude of flaws. Lee has a keen eye for detail and wants everything to be very exact. They went together to find baseboard that would be a close match to what was in the adjoining dining room, and not only installed it in the kitchen but also on a landing to the basement for visual continuity. Bev used the caulk gun masterfully to marry together the two styles of baseboard and painted that and the door frame. Lee also repaired a long crack in the ceiling and repainted the ceiling with flat paint to replace the glossy paint that was on it. The job morphed into 5 days instead of three by the time we had improved on the original plan, and luckily they had the extra days available that week. They started punctually at 10 every morning, a real "plus" since I'm not much of a morning person! I felt comfortable leaving them home alone when I had to go out a couple of times. I appreciated the fact that they welcomed my questions and didn't mind my standing and watching the progress, and also that they were not easily rattled by challenges that arose. I will definitely use them again for my next big interior painting project.

Gabbert Decorating came to our home on a Saturday to work around our schedule to give an estimate for painting and paper removing for our home. They were very professional, on-time (a little early even), and trustworthy.They spent at least an hour or more going through every room, and offering tips and advice which in the end will enhance our home. They really know their stuff. They do all their own work themselves - and do not hire a "crew". This is appreciated, as you know who is in your home, and who is doing the painting. They are married, and have been working together for many years, and you can see the love they have for their business. At the end of the appointment - they mentioned they came to our house before they had set out to see their new grandchild, just born. I was very impressed that they kept our appointment, as I would have understood the need to reschedule, but that is how they are. I hope to be able to use them in the future.

I have lived in the Cincinnati Area for most of my 45 years and have done many home construction and remodeling projects in that time and Bev and Lee Gabbert are with out a doubt the best contractor I have ever used. My Mom is 82 years old and we are getting the house ready to be sold and she is not dealing with that very well at all. Bev actually became like a long lost friend to my Mom. My Mom confided in her on almost eveything. Bev even baked my Mom a cake for her 82nd birthday and fed her on several different occasions. The work they performed was excellent and the wall paper removal was extremely difficult, but the two of them did a flawless job. You would never know there was 40+ years of wallpaper on the walls at my parents home. There is not another wallpaper removal./painting contractor I would ever consider other than Lee and Bev. Lastly, my Mom is very particular about her possessions, Bev and Lee maintained a very clean work environment even with a very dirty job. Thanks again Bev and Lee, fanatastic job! The John B. Family

Lee and Bev Gabbert came the week before to give me an estimate, working me in even though they had a big job going at the same time. They came at the appointed time, put down drop sheets, taking off the old paper and preparing the wall for the new paper. They worked very efficiently, staying within the allotted time they had told me the job would take. The job looked excellent when done, and they cleaned up the scraps, water, and so forth, leaving the kitchen the same way they found out.

Bev and Lee are courteous, professional and responsive. They are reliable and dependable. Their estimates usually fall in the middle, not too high or too low. They take their time and do the job properly and with great attention to detail. Bev & Lee are tidy and clean up after they finish for the day, as well as when the project is finished. Highly recommended.

I have worked with the Gabberts repeatedly over the past seventeen years on various painting and wallpapering projects in my current , large home. This most recent project was completed with the same high level of professionalism and degree of perfection and attention to detail. With Bev's artistic background and Lee's keen eye, I always leave selection of the exact color choice to them. They have an uncanny ability to manipulate generic paint colors from a swatch by removing or adding merely a few drops of a particular color to achieve exactly the right color for the light in my home. They happily will get two or three paint samples rolled on my walls to ensure I can pick just the right one. I always love the end result. Bev and Lee are dedicated to customer satisfaction in every way. They are punctual daily, exceptionally clean workers, quiet and respectful in my home and pleasant to work with. Within the paint work they do, they fix any wall imperfections in order to make their work flawless in the end. They care as much about the end result as I, the homeowner, do.......and that is a rare quality. I would never hire anyone else for this type of work in my home.

They were extremely efficient, they are very organized, and they are on time. If they say they are going to start at 10, they are here before 10. They are extremely nice people and easy to work with. They give suggestions and very helpful. I would recommend them to anyone. I will use them again for sure.

They were good painters and they were very reassuring. They were absolutely excellent. The only thing is that they could've cleaned up a little better. I would recommend them to others.

Bev and Lee were very professional. Showed up on time and did a good job of prepping prior to doing the work to ensure that no ceiling pain or scrap wallpaper fell on my newly refinished floors. Would highly recommend. The wallpaper completed the look of my newly remodeled kitchen.

I had recently suffered a loss in my immediate family and decided to freshen the house to brighten my mood. They were very sympathetic without making me feel uncomfortable. This was a big job and I was quite nervous, but their professionalism put me at ease about making these changes and having people in the house. The kitchen had a really odd corner and they matched it perfectly. Some painting over the stairway had me quite nervous, but they took it in stride and did a great job! Everyone who has seen their work has commented on the workmanship. When it comes time to do the downstairs, I will definitely call them. I recommend them to anyone and everyone. The price was a lot lower than I had budgeted too! Thanks!!!

Great response time and they were able to fit me in to meet my needs. I have used Lee and Bev for years and have always found them to be fantastic at what they do. You will love the look once they are done!

Bev and Lee have done both painting and wallpapering in our house during the year. We asked them to come back and paint our guest bedroom and closet. As always Bev called me right back, scheduled a time with me and showed up on time. This is my third time hiring this company because they consistently call me back, show up when they say they will and ALWAYS do great work. Plus I think their prices are fair. Be careful ,MANY companies will quote you a price and it will only be for one coat. Once these other companies start the job then they tell you the room needs another coat and it will cost more. Bev has always given the entire cost up front, no surprises and I appreciate that. I will be hiring this company again in 2012 for more painting and wallpapering in our house.

Bev and Lee came to wallpaper our master bedroom and they did a fantastic job!!! The wallpaper we used was extremely difficult to work with, it was thick and required special adhesive. Bev and Lee were able to work with this paper and knew exactly what to do and use to make the paper go on smoothly and be seamless. They matched the pattern perfectly throughout the entire bedroom and the seaming looked incredible. I have used them in the past for painting as well and will continue to use this company. Also, I always think their pricing is fair.

Prompt arrival for estimate and for the job. Both the papering and painting were a challenge because the walls & ceiling are plywood. The final results were terrific.

Bev and Lee Gabbert stripped the wallpaper from our kitchen, repaired the walls, and painted. Also, they painted our hallway down to our finished basement (both the walls, wainscotting, and outside door). They could schedule us quickly due to a cancelation and did a fabulous job! They were prompt, cleaned up before they left each day and finished the job on time and at the cost they quoted. We definitely recommend their service.

They were very easy to work with and were full of helpful suggestions. Their suggestions included brands to use, which was helpful so we could know the best quality items. They were happy to help in any way we asked. The relationship that this company built with me was incredible, and I found myself trusting them completely.
