Family Carpet Repair

Terrible experience with Family Carpet Repair. I called for an estimate, they came way early as 'they had a cancellation'. They gave me an estimate that was in inline with others and agreed to discount their fee if I would do it now, I agreed. Worst Mistake Ever! The young fellow and his high school helper were dirty, stinky, unprofessionally dressed, and were chewing tobacco as I later found out. It turns out instread of moving furniture and beds, stretching, and securing the carpet, they pretty much just stapled down the ripples. Sure, they made a show of using the knee kickers but stapled instead of securing to the tack strips He had stated early they may use one or two staples in hard to stretch areas (corners, doorways), but to run a line staples down entire walls of a rooms is simply poor workmanship and stealing as far as I am concerned. The next day when I could see their 'work' in the daylight, it was very apparent they did a hack job on my house and that I had been had. My carpet now looked like one of the old style couches with buttones sunk down into the fabric. I ended up using Ken from Angies list to come and repair the carpet. I gave them a follow up call asking for a refund and he was very defensive and wanted to come over and 'fix' his mistakes, I told him he already had the opportunity to do it right and failed. He said he would call me back and never did.
