Delong Design

Met with this individual in May 2011 to assist us with paint, furniture and fabric selection for our new home. We made the point clearly and often, that we wanted to change the color scheme from the current beige to sky colors, blues and yellows. We were asked to pay a 50% deposit of $250 at this time We were immensely dissapointed when, two weeks later,DeLong met with us and brought an idea board that was covered completely with earth tones. The absolute opposite of what we had asked her to do. Needless to say we fired her for a complete and utter lack of understanding of our needs. Unfortunately we had loaned her the blue prints for our house. She refused to return the blue prints until we paid her the remainder of her $500.00 fee. We naturally refused as she had utterly failed her clients in terms of taste and competence. Even though she did not provide any servie to us she then took us to small claims court. Run, don't away from this person. She has no ethics, taste or design skills.
