I have made numerous calls to the local office, local installation salesperson, installation supervisor, billing office at corporate, billing office for Defender - all to no avail. They continue to bill me for two systems. I no longer own the previous home & there is no phone there to monitor. I am being given the run around everywhere I call. I will never use them again, & have told everyone I talk to not to use them either. Their guarantee even tells you they will refund your monies if you have a service or installation problem within the first few months. That's a joke trying to get your money back from these folks.
Description of Work: Alarm installed at my home in May 2007. I moved in Aug 2007 & requested service be switched from old house to new house. They made me pay another 500 to rewire the new house, but assured me I would not be billed for 2 systems.

Overall the experience was terrible. The equipment cost twice as much as if I had purchased it at Lowe's or Home Depot. I was given multiple numbers to call in the event that I had a problem with my home security system, but all of the numbers were central ADT numbers, not the local dealer. ADT never dispatched a service-person from the local dealer to help resolve the problems with the system once it was installed. I was told the motion detector would not be trigged by the cats or dog and it was which rendered it useless. The button on the key pad for fire department is also the "done" button which you have to push when programming new codes. Nevertheless, the fire department showed up from time to time when we needed to change the codes. The alarm went off very frequently for no apparent reason. I had a wireless system that always called when it wasn't supposed to. Even once the contract was turned over to Defender Security I never received a letter or call about the problems.
Description of Work: Installed and was responsible for providing monitoring and maintenance services through the ADT Authorized Dealer Program.
