Description of Work: Justin immediately diagnosed the problem of the dishwasher not running. We thought the control-board needed replacing. But he found it was a fuse in the control-board that had burnt out. He had that in his van, replaced it, and it worked immediately! We definitely will call Day's Appliance Co. for any future appliance problems. Price was reasonable as well.

Description of Work: Magnetron went out on a microwave-oven combo. Since replacing the whole combo would have been around 3K I had no choice but to repair the microwave. Day's is one of the few places that will even repair microwaves as most places just suggest you throw the appliance out. Service call, labor and magnetron, diode and capacitor came to right at $400.00 or 13% the cost of replacing the entire unit. Easy to schedule with Day's and the technician was professional and neatly dressed. Took around a week to get the new part and have it installed which wasn't too terribly bad. Overall a good job with good service that I was grateful to find.

Description of Work: We have used Day's several times as we have some commercial appliances too. This last time was to fix a True refrigerator/freezer unit. The freezer wasn't getting cold enough. Came out and fixed what was needed. Fair price. Would and still use them for future work.

Description of Work: Two issues: |1) Washing machine: determined that leak could not be repaired effectively (actual hole in tub) in appliance that was ~23 years in two-person household service. Bottom line: required buying new machine but old unit more than paid for itself. |2) Relatively new upright freezer spontaneously stopped freezing. No undue, trauma, noises or other indicators giving the homeowner a clue as to cause. Technician determined that though refrigerant level had not dropped, there was a "clog" or stoppage in the circulation of the refrigerant. (I envisioned something like a clogged fuel filter in an automotive unit.) This fix required removal of the clogged area of the piping, installation of a replacement section and recharging of the refrigerant. Voila! Works like new. | |Fix required two visits (first to ascertain what was needed and second for actual repair), price seemed reasonable (10% off parts per Angie's List) and work was done on time. Satisfied customer.

Description of Work: The repairman installed a new disposal that I had purchased. He also repaired my dryer .. He had to replace a drum roller. | |This is the 3rd time I've used Days Appliance. I've obviously been pleased with the quality of their work. And I believe that the price is fair.

Description of Work: Explained to me that the washing machine never filled to the top was because it was high efficiency. Did I believe him? Yes. He was my 2nd opinion. Wish I knew that when I bought it. Home Depot leaved it up to you to do the research. Shame on me. | |

Description of Work: They repaired a through the door ice flap. Now the flap opens and shuts when the button is pressed but the ice all melts together and nothing comes out. It was fine before you just had to reach in and open the flap by hand.

Description of Work: My only complaint is with the communication. I felt like I had to hound them to find out when the part was in and when they could come back to install it. Cost, and job done were excellent.

Description of Work: I had 2 washer's that needed attention. Washer 1 was noted to be beyond repair. Washer 2 was ok and needed no attention.

Description of Work: This was the second time we have used them and selected them based on their work the first time. Both times they came over very quickly (within a few days as these were not emergencies). The work was done quickly and solved the issues (one with a dryer, the second with a washer). Only minor adjustments were required for the washer but the tech was not satisfied until he had it working perfectly.

Description of Work: The temperature inside my refrigerator was not as cool as it should have been. Found out that one layer of coils, located in the freezer had iced over. The thermostat was no longer working and had to be replaced. | |I took points off for punctuality because I was given a time range between 11:00 - 2:00 and had not heard from anyone by 1:45. So I called to verify someone was still coming. They were on their way, running behind because of other jobs prior to mine. It would have been better customer service, if someone had taken the initiative to call me to let me know that the serviceman was still coming just running a little behind. Following my call, I did get a follow up call from the serviceman, telling me he was on his way.

Description of Work: Our dryer stopped working one night and Day's was able to come by the next day. The person on the phone who scheduled the service was friendly and informative. |The serviceman was professional in appearance and interaction. He not only fixed the dryer very quickly, but also agreed to check out my wash machine which had been making funny noises and leaking slightly at times. He was able to address both issues and provided me with advice for what to look out for. He also let me know what which of the problems would warrant purchasing a new machine versus calling in for repair. I've already recommended this company to friends. Great find on Angie's List.

Description of Work: I contacted Day Appliance to see if my dryer was worth repairing. (Lady who set appointment very friendly and helpful) Day Appliance had repaired my dryer a little over 5 years ago and I was pleased at that time-and yes it lasted another 5+ years. This time the service gentleman advised me of the repair needed/cost but it is clear to me that I should move forward with a new dryer. Yes I am out the cost of a service call but it was worth it to be sure a new dryer was actually necessary. Service call $79, included extra $10 due to coming on a Saturday-again, very worth it due to my weekday schedule.
