Movers were awesome, they got my 1 bedroom apartment in Colerain moved in record time. Thanks D & R Movers for fitting me in the same day! The moving company I had originally scheduled to get me moved canceled at the day of the move. I will be telling all my family and friends about D & R Movers.

My moved went as planned. The D & R Movers team I had where very professional, they protected my new floors, hand rails, and door jams right before they started working. They had a whole bunch off furniture blankets, they put furniture blankets on all my furniture then carried it to the truck. They didn't remove the furniture blankets from my furniture until we got to my new house in West Chester. I recommend D & R Movers to anyone needing to get a Professional Mover.

Did a great job

Movers came on time and called upon arrival. Not a professional company, you definitely get what you pay for. I've left a several messages with Lee (the receptionist) about the step (hard wood) of our new home being broken into 3 pieces. I was told they would cover the cost to have a repairman fix it. They said they'd call me to schedule coming out to fix the step. I waited a week as I was told they'd be busy. I never heard from them. So I called them. After leaving 6 messages and 3 weeks later, I still have not heard one thing back from ANYONE. Receptionist doesn't have authority to schedule the repairman to come out. He can't call the owner/management. He doesn't know management's schedule because they "just come in and out when they want". And their method of taking a message is sticking several post it's in managements desk... which clearly they never come into work. I am only making a formal complaint about our stairs, however my bed and dresser was also broken. Scrapes/scratches on my treadmill. I will be contacting my lawyer.

D & R Movers made moving day a breeze!! They were available last minute and very affordable! They actually finished in less time than estimated and saved me a lot of money. Rob, Tim and Rich were our movers and they were amazing! They worked non-stop and were very careful with our things. Every box was in the room it belonged in. I will absolutely use them again!

Moving things out seemed okay. I was able to get a great time scheduled but they did not tell me upfront its cash only. When they arrived in an unmarked white van, the older man who said he was the owner did not look like a business owner or professional but the reviews online were what I was looking at when I chose them. Being married to a police detective I tend to look at people a bit more acutely when inviting them into my personal space. He walked the two younger men around as my husband told them what needed to go out, and I kept the children downstairs instead of helping. I did not feel comfortable. We have them pads to put down on the concrete floor for our things to sit on but later I noticed they did not use the pads or quilts between furniture they put on top of the visable surfaces. Some are very valuable family heirlooms. They did the job in two hours, they did not talk much, even when I tried to be polite. It did not feel right, like they are under strict orders, and the owner sat outside in his van waiting the entire time. The job did get done though. Today is Monday and we were up early waiting for them to call to say they were on their way. At 9am we phoned the office and no answer. We kept trying then did reach someone who did not know when they would arrive. By 12:30pm the same response, no window of time, and the uneasy feeling, we canceled the job. If there was a clear explanation of them being on another job and to expect them in a certain amount of time, if they told us they were moving an entire house and we were scheduled for the end of the day, but for us to sit waiting, they led us to think we were early. We know jobs can run over but communication was entirely lacking and now I am terribly worried about damage to my furniture once we uncover things. I know people have had good reviews, but a real business will tell you upfront if they take cash only, and what time to expect them. As a police wife and mother, I did not feel comfortable one bit.

The two movers came at the tail end of the arrival window and were very courteous. They moved the items from the office into the truck quickly and efficiently. There was a minor snafu that was luckily averted when one mover wrapped some glass shelves in a moving blanket and did not communicate that fact to his coworker, who nearly yanked the blanket without checking to see if there were items inside, but I was overseeing things and was able to stop him in time. The reason I will likely not use them again was because they scratched the hardwood floor in one of the rooms where they were moving a filing cabinet from one side of the room to another. I was in the room at the time and saw immediately how his movements with the filing cabinet caused the scratch. I showed the scratch to the mover who did it right after it happened, and he initially said that the scratch was already there. I told him that the floors had been refinished less than a year ago and that there were no scratches there prior to his arrival. He went out and spoke to his coworker, who was apparently his superior. His coworker came in and looked at the scratch, and between the two of them essentially called me a liar. There was a larger, deeper scratch in another place in the same room, but after initially thinking that it was their doing I came to the conclusion that my father had accidentally done it in an attempt to help, so I told them they were responsible only for the first scratch, not the second one. I tried to be as polite as possible when the subordinate continued to deny that he moved the filing cabinet in such a way that he cause the scratch (when I was standing there and saw the scratch occur) and implied that I was lying. Finally I found out that the reason that they were less than enthusiastic for taking responsibility for their damage was because their parent company had a $500 deductible and that any damage/repairs less than that came out of their (the movers') pockets. I told the senior mover to file the claim and I would get 3 quotes. It turned out that the entire room would have to be sanded and re-sealed at significant expense, and it would be difficult to break down the cost between the scratch caused by my father and theirs, so I decided to let the matter drop since there was a chance that there would be more scratches with regular use over time. The reason I will not use them again is because I did not appreciate being treated as a liar when it was patently obvious that the mover had scratched the floor. If this incident had not turned out the way it had, I would definitely have considered using them again. They were efficient, did a good job taking instructions and did a reasonable job communicating with me throughout the process.

Great job overall

We used them because we called several that morning and they were the 1st ones to call us back. They others called me back too but we wanted something moved tight away and I was bale to make arrangements with them 1st. I called at like 8 or 8:15 and they were her at 10:30 maybe. That was really fast which was perfect for us. That was the positive but the negative was that the rep reeked of cigarette smoke. It was unpleasant to be near him but I don't like cigarette. I didn't not go near the enclosed truck so I don't know if the truck smelled like cigarette smoke. Our move was only like 5 to 10 min away so I wasn't worried about the furniture picking up any odors for that length of time. Had it been longer move i might have been concerned. The service was fine, the price was fine but I didn't like the cigarette smoke. They charged a 2 hour minimum fee which many if not all of the companies do but our job was only 1 hr long.

They have been really flexible because I have had to call and reschedule twice this week already and they have really accommodated me. I have not moved yet but I have heard nothing but good things about them. I will use them again in the future.

They were quick and they didn't break anything.

CHARGES $84 /HR FOR 4 GUYS.

SHOULD HAVE SOME TYPE OF CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST THEM. THEY HAVE HAD MANY COMPLAINTS.
