Cullen Electric Inc

When our power went out unexpectedly Sunday night around 8pm, I was able to restore power by flipping the main breaker, but it made a hissing sound and was real hot. I was concerned. Rather than calling the company I had used a few times, I decided to check Angie's List for Electricians. Cullen Electric appeared with Super Service Awards and high ratings. I first sent an email, but decided to pick up the phone and leave a message to be sure they got my message on Monday. Five minutes after leaving the message I received a call from Andy Cullen. After we discussed what happened, Andy felt it really needed to be looked at, but they were booked for Monday. Andy offered to come take a look before their day started. Andy and Lilly arrived at 5:50am, yes 5:50am. The first thing they did was place a towel on the floor to wipe their shoes. Andy identified the problem, but didn't have the needed breaker with them. They left to purchase one and returned and replaced the breaker. Andy showed me the several areas that were not right in the panels and repaired them. I can't begin to say what a pleasant and wonderful experience this was with Cullen Electric. I have already asked them to come back and fix two other electrical items. After telling two of my colleagues about the experience, they both asked for their name and plan to call them for their electrical issues.

These guys were really excellent. Andy Cullen answered when I called and made an appointment to take a look and give me an estimate the next day. I received Andy's estimate within 48 hours and scheduled the work. Between scheduling the work and the day the work was done, I e-mailed Andy about extra work I wanted done, and he quickly revised the estimate. On the scheduled day, two guys showed up right on time. They were very professional and friendly. A couple of times during the job they checked with me to make sure that I was okay with the way they were going to do some of the work. While they were at my house, Andy Cullen stopped by to check on the job. The job was done well and quickly, and they didn't leave a mess behind. I would definitely use Cullen Electric again and I would recommend them to anyone.

After sending a message to them I was called almost immediately. An estimate was provided quickly. They were very straight forward and courteous. Communication was excellent and services provided were done quickly. They were professional and did an excellent job.

I met with Andy and Lily a week before the installation, because there were some unique challenges to the job. They said it would be no problem and quoted me a total cost of $275. Lily and Gigi showed up today to do the work, and everything went smoothly. There was a box in the attic that needed to be replaced (I didn't spot it until after Andy and Lily left), so that added $50 to the total. Other than that, nothing but pleasant surprises. Lily and Gigi covered everything with dropcloths before starting and left the place spotless when they were done. I will definitely call them the next time I need electrical work done.

I have used Cullen in the past and will continue to do so. The ladies are professional, prompt, courteous, and do a great job.

Lili & Gigi were great. Right on time, talked through a couple of options for what I wanted and did a great job on both the work & clean-up. I usually do my own electrical but this was a project in an existing brick wall that would require pulling the existing boxes and included a stray voltage issue I couldn't solve. Cullen is now my go-to for electrical projects I don't have the time for or are beyond my depth.

It went perfectly -- as usual. This is our third or fourth time having Lily and Gigi come out to do a project for us. They're the perfect combination of friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They're always on time, prepared, take the time to explain what they're doing and why, then go about their business without wasting any time. We appreciate that they are considerate of our home - always putting on shoe covers and cleaning up after themselves. We actually look forward to the times they come to do work for us. This time we wanted an outlet outside so we could hook up Christmas lights or use an electric leaf blower on the front yard. They put it in a very unobtrusive place, so it doesn't hurt the appearance of the front of the house. When they went down in to the basement, they noticed extension cords running up the basement stairs and asked if we would like them to put in two outlets down there. We really appreciated that suggestion and were glad they could do it while they were here. It's very nice not to have to worry about tripping over extension cords going up the basement steps or to have to haul those cords up the steps to plug them in.

They did a great job. The circuit breakers is now tripping less and the reset is much more easier to access. They were really smart and creative and really exceeded my expectations. This is my second time using this company and I will use them.

Andy & his team are the consummate professionals. I'm extremely wary of contractors because I've seen too many horrible experiences had by family & friends. This was a job that I couldn't do myself, so I had no other choice. I came across Cullen on Angie's list, sent them an email & within 20 minutes I already had a reply to set up a time to get an estimate done. I'd already had a couple of estimates done by other contractors, but Andy came in and gave me a far more fair price for the work that had to be accomplished. The work took 8 days to complete and I couldn't be happier. The workers came in promptly every day and cleaned up after themselves as they went. They weren't a disruption to myself or my family as they did their work. If I were to do it all again Cullen would definitely be the ones I'd call again!

The person arrived on time and was professional, but had a hard time putting the fan in leaving some small broken areas around the fan. We have fixed that. He left over 15-20 blackish hand prints on our newly painted wall. Easy to remove, but could have done better to clean up after himself. Fan does work great

Andy Cullin was very easy to deal with. Scheduling was simple. Workers were professional, arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently. They were careful to cover floors and furniture and to vacuum any residual dust or dirt.

Excellent. They arrived at the time promised, they were courteous, friendly and professional the whole time. They finished the job quickly; the quality of the work was very good and they took extra time at the end to answer my questions.

I called Monday to inquire about installing a ceiling fan in a bedroom, which would also need to be wired. He said they would be able to be there between 8:00-8:15 Saturday morning. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to schedule an appointment for this Saturday. Andrew & Lily arrived shortly before 8:00 am and quickly began working. They got all the details pertaining to the job (which side of the blades I would like showing, if I wanted the fan flush mounted, and the placement in the room). I loved that they wore booties and had a drop cloth for the work area. They cleaned up, moved the bed back in place, and even took the box (that the fan came in) to dispose of. Andrew also gave me suggestions for different light bulbs that would work better in the fan (and wouldn't make a buzzing sound). The whole process took less than two hours. The fan works great and looks wonderful in my room! They are very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend Cullen Electric and will use them again for any electrical needs.

Mr. Cullen was prompt and worked with my schedule to come out and give an estimate - I have been doing a lot of small repairs in my house and needed an electrician for a few things, installing a light fixture, fixing an outdoor outlet and light, and install a new ceiling fan. I was impressed with his professionalism during the estimate, and he pointed out the outdoor outlets were a fuse and fixed it right away. He then sent me a written estimate within a day and we scheduled the repairs for the following week. He explained in detail the ceiling fan wouldn't work on the dimmer switch I wanted to use, and I decided to skip that portion. Lili and Gigi arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. I always ask people to take off their shoes, but feel bad since not everyone has shoe covers, both were friendly and one went around back to the deck to meet back there to replace the light. They had brought a light to replace my deck light and helped me decide if I wanted to use the sensor function or not. i can be indecisive and they were great about explaining the options and even offered to run to Home Depot to exchange the light if I didn't want the one they had chosen. Gigi installed the light on the deck and Lili did the one in the bathroom (I think!). They both did a great job, cleaned up everything, were friendly and professional. I would definitely use this business again.

The free estimate over the telephone was the least costly of five estimates I obtained. I took advantage of an Angie's List special. The workers came within 2-3 working days, exactly when they said they would. They were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable and completed the work in less than an hour, for the minimum charge of $99. In the remainder of the hour they even did another small electrical job without additional charge. I am completely satisfied with their work and manner of interacting with me and my wife.

Wonderful. He arrived at 10:30 AM and diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the material, gave me an estimate not to exceed $1500, picked up the material, installed the box and new outside cable from meter to box, and cleaned up everything and took it away. I am not sure of the exact time it was completed but I would estimate 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. . Andy was efficient, professional, courteous, friendly, and I trusted him. When he was done, I had such a sense of relief because I crate my puppies during the day and I was very concerned about their safety. Andy will be back with a helper for the inspection and will list the correct lights on the breaker instead of the guess by golley I had before. I will use Cullen Electric again and will recommend to anyone who asks if I know a good electrician. Ruthanne Carter

We had three upstairs bedrooms that did not have any overhead lighting or fixtures. All we had was a switch that controlled a plug in the wall where you could plug a lamp into and turn the switch to turn the lamp on. Cullen gave me a quote over the phone of $250/room to install the fixtures and ceiling fans. We had overhead attic access. They showed up at 8 am as they said they would, and they were finished by 11. Lili and the other woman were very helpful, super polite, and super professional. They got the job done quick and everything looks great. I had to have them put new switches in because i had dimmer switches, which weren't going to work with the install. That added an extra $20 to the $250/room price, but that was no big deal. I could have done the work myself, but it would have taken me 3 hours per room. I was extremely pleased with everything, and would gladly use them in the future, or recommend to a friend.

Lily and Gigi came prepared and knew exactly what Andy had agreed to do. They both worked all day and did all the wiring, mixing of concrete, installations and repairs. They cut into drywall and replaced it in excellent shape. They ran conduit and hid it in the landscaping so that it looked and works great. They installed the photo sensors and did all the wiring. They even redid the landscaping and mulch so that it looked "finish" when done. Andy, Lily and Gigi were all very professional and did EXACTLY what they were supposed to do but did it a lot better than what we expected. We were really impressed and would recommend them highly.
