Description of Work: basement floor cut out, subfoundation drain installed to keep water from coming in through our walls. poured custom side steps

Description of Work: Had extensive retaining wall work done. All seemed as if it was going well until they ran the bobcat over a potion of land that could not handle the weight. A portion of the wall fell down. While they put it back up, they put it back up in 4 hrs and did not do it properly. They back filled mainly with dirt, the drainage pipe was busted and there was no fabric put back in place. Needles to say--1st down pour and the wall in that portion fell down. He indicated that he would make it right, but never did. He kept on saying that he would show up and then would call with an excuse. The third time he didn't call at all. That was the last we heard from him. My husband fixed the wall, did is right, but it was a big job. We even said that we could work something out as there were some small ends to tie up that we would pay him for. We were very nice to him and his team. The lower wall is most likely going to be dug out also by my husband as it has started to lean. We suspect that there was not enough rock put in for drainage and the fabric is installed improperly also. I have contemplated for weeks about writing a review as we are not mean people and in general I don't want it to hurt his business. People appear to be happy with his concrete work. Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes on building these walls. That is all I can hope for now. I didn't want this to happen to anyone else. Luckily my husband is very handy and can do almost anything, we just don't have the time which is why we hired it out. We were going to use him for a large concrete project, but not now.

Description of Work: We have used Cookes Concrete for concrete works. They tore out our drive way and replaced it and made it wider by a foot.

Description of Work: Tear our of old sidewalk. New sidewalk poured and stamped, reapir to one porch step.
