Did good work, however had to have them come back several times to correct and finish things that were missed.

The owner of this business, Tom Bolt, came out for the estimate. He was very customer oriented and very friendly. He was really nice and seemed knowledgeable. He was very responsive and came out a couple of different times. Compared to everybody he was probably about mid-range to high as far as his estimate. One of the reasons I did not use him was that I did not want someone that subcontracted out the work; I wanted people who had their own team. I would absolutely consider using him in the future if I needed to.

Tim and Steve of CS are professional, friendly, and prompt. CS keeps a tidy and clean work area. Their are excellent at keeping the client informed and communicating progress throughout the project.

Excellent work. Very professional. Stayed in touch with us during bad weather, letting us know when they could come out to finish up, including the little details at the end. A real pleasure to work with.

Our experience with Consumer Solutions has been fantastic!! Our problems started with major leaking in our rental home on Thanksgiving morning. We contacted Consumer Solutions after reading reviews on Angie's List. Tom Bolt answered our call and had a contractor at the house within an hour. The contractor was experienced and efficient and a temporary repair was completed by noon - on Thanksgiving day!! Unfortunately, there was a large amount of wind damage to the shingles on the roof and a great deal of water damage inside the house. Tom helped us work with our insurance company and the additional work plan came together very smoothly. (The majority of the above expense was able to be covered by insurance.)The final work started on 1/4/11 and was completed on 1/8/11. Quick, clean, and high quality! We - and our tenants- were very pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of Tom and his staff. We are already planning to use this company again! Tom Bolt has ton of work for us. He always makes sure the job is done right and will keep coming back until you are 100% satisfied. He has given us so many different leads to people in the Cincinnati area. He always has an answer to any questions we have!! We will be moving out of state and hope to find someone just as great to replace him when we need some work on our house!

Very good. I had said in the beginning that I will be paying an independent home inspector to inspect the final work and that I would hold back 20% of the payment till the inspector approves. Two of the roofing companies that had put in their bid, withdrew because of this. Tom stuck in because he believes in his work and stands by it. He was not the most expensive bid but was not the cheapest either - right in the middle. Work was great, he was professional and responsive throughout - even the independent inspector gave him an A!

The window installation was fine. The problem was with the interior trim carpentry. First, they were going to build the interior window sill with #2 pine, which is not a all appropriate nor comparable to what I orginally had. I intercepted this before the materials were installed. Tom Bolt, the owner, was also the foreman for the work. Tom was very gracious, professional and accomodating of my feedback. They got the right materials. However, the trim carpentry skills were lacking. The way the trim was put up did not match my other existing windows, and it was not even symetrical. I pointed this out to Tom, and again he was very professional and accomodating and fixed it. Last, my windows wouldn't lock properly. I called Tom, he and a Pella rep came out and fixed the problem. Bottom line: Consumer solutions was very professional, prompt, always returned my calls, fixed the problems, and were competitive on price. My frustration is with the lack of quality control or checks. I would not recommend them to friends or family for that reason. I am knowledgeable in these areas, but many people aren't.

The sales person was not pushy. The workers were very good and they did a nice job. They did the work quickly and their price was good. We got free quotes.

Consumer Solutions, Inc. replaced our roof that was damaged in the 2008 windstorm, installed Alcoa Leaf Relief gutter guards, and repaired a transom window that had been leaking in heavy rains. Owner Tom Bolt came out to estimate the job right away, and scheduled us with priority due to our situation. His estimate was competitive, and immediately approved by our insurance company. Work began on the day scheduled, exactly as promised. Tom Bolt was present first thing in the morning to make sure everything started smoothly, and checked in regularly throughout the day. His crew was professional and hardworking. They took our roof down to the plywood decking and re-roofed it completely, in one long day s work. The finished roof looks great, better than the original. The transom window no longer leaks and the gutter guards are working well. Tom Bolt actually helped his crew clean up, and left our home looking as if they had never been there. Before leaving, he took care to assure our complete satisfaction, as he had throughout the entire process. This level of personal service and commitment to do exactly what you say you will do is a rare quality in business today.

In April 2008 Consumer Solutions installed replacement windows and replaced a French door unit at my home in Mason, Ohio. I am extremely pleased with the end result. The entire process went very smoothly and exactly as promised. Beginning with our initial meeting, the owner Tom Bolt explained the entire process from product selection to installation. There was no pressure to purchase or make a decision with Tom, unlike the other larger window sales people who gave us estimates. Consumer Solution s installers were very clean cut and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. Most importantly they did a terrific job and the new windows and door look great in my home and are very energy efficient. I always will go out of my way to recommend Consumer Solutions because they took what could have been a very anxious situation and made it stress free.
