Description of Work: Replaced 2 small windows in the basement with glassblock. We have shudders over the window on the inside. As a result when you open the shutter it does not have a finished look. However, this may be a result of the type of remodeling job that had been completed several years earlier.

Description of Work: Four basement windows replaced with glass block. The glass block windows were pre-built by Cincinnati Glass Block, but they subcontracted an independent installer to come out and install it. The glass block was available in several standard sizes, and glued together with silicone to form a window. The installer arrived on time and removed the old windows, then used cement/mortar to seal the new glass block windows in place. Because the new glass block was not exactly the same size as the windows they replaced, a gap of about 4 cm had to be filled with cement. The installer carried very limited tools and did not have anything to clean up the construction debris, and had to borrow a broom from me to sweep up most of the debris. They did leave some mess in the basement. The end result looked fairly good when dry, but was not painted or waterproofed. It did not match the surrounding basement walls, and the cement became damp inside whenever it rained. I was able to fix this myself by painting the mortar with masonry waterproofing.

Description of Work: Removed existing basement windows and replaced with glass block windows. They also removed an existing bathroom casement window and replaced with a glass block window. The installation went smoothly, with no problems. The installer was knowledgeable, polite and cleaned up his work. If I needed additional glass block work done, I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: asked them to look at a window they previously installed that cracked. this window cracked before probably due to shifting, which we understand, but wanted to know if there was any other alternative. service tech said he would be in touch, but did not call. we called him and said he would talk to someone in the company and call us back, but never did. we stopped calling and will not try again.

Description of Work: Initial consultation was very professional and gave an accurate cost for replacing two conventional windows with Glass block. On the day of install contractor arrived at the time I was told he would. He removed the "very very" old casement window that was cemented in place, and a newer vinyl window saving the glass for me as I had requested. Installed and cleaned everything up. Gave final instructions for the mortar to set up properly, thanked me and was on his way. It could not have been a more pleasant transaction. This company goes way above and beyond with excellent customer service.
