I thought the person was friendly and thorough. I thought the price was way out of line compared to others. First of all, he recommended that I have work done both on the inside and the outside.

I called a different company to give me a quote, after he gave me 3 different quotes i signed contract but didnt feel good about it. I called the company the next day and canceled the work ,they told me they would be out on friday to give me back my deposit back they never showed, after calling them they told me they put my deposit check in the mail. I then called Cincinnati Foundation Co. They came out that sunday gave me a quote that i thought was more in line with what had to be done. They said it would take 4 days ,they were done in 2days. I had the whole crew there, they were very nice and took the time to show me what they were doing.Chris explained in terms anyone could understand,it made everything easier. This is the team you would want working for you.

the job went great . now my sister is having them do her basement
Description of Work: I saw a flyer from Cincinnati Foundation Co in the mail along with a few other companies in Valpak i called all three and got quotes. One contractor came out and had me shaking in my boots. They basically told me i was doomed and my house was falling down. The second guy came out and calmed me down a little but still had me very concerned. The last company to come out was Cincinnati Foundation Co. They had a very good attitude and logical approach. They took the time show me all of the problems i was having and gave me a price for a complete job. I did not have to bring in a few different contractors like the other guys were telling me. They did my concrete and my tuck pointing for a small extra cost. They saved me about 2500 dollars by going with the one stop shop approach. After i got my quote from them i had an engineer come out just to make sure we were heading in the correct direction. It turns out Cincinnati Foundation Co. was right on the money with what the engineer was saying. That was a big plus for me in making my final decision. The one thing i did not like about the engineer was he kept trying to refer me to "one of his contractors friends" beware of engineers who do this. I later found out buy other companies that most structural engineers have a hand in who gets the work they look at and get a kick back from the contractor doing the work. Never let anyone tell you who you have to go with to fix your home. I chose the most passionate company. Chris came out three times to win me over. I feel bad for him doing that but i wanted to very certain i was making the correct choice. After the guys started working i knew i had made the right decision. Not one guy stood around everyone had a job to do. It looked like it has been rehearsed a 100 times the job went super smooth they started and stayed till it was finished it took four days. The job was clean and fast they are still calling me with followup questions to make sure I'm happy and satisfied. What a great group of guys who know how to fix a persons house. now my sister is having them do her foundation. Don't let a high pressure Flim flam artist scare you into spending twenty five thousand. The guys at Cincinnati could have told me what the two guys before were saying and probably got me for more money but they were sincere and honest. I'm a life long customer if i ever buy a house that needs work I'm calling them first

Chris sent a team out to my house to install some concrete piers in order to secure an addition that was pulling away from the existing structure of the house due to a sloped back yard and a swampy couple of springs/summers. Mike and Mike installed the piers back in January/February and cleaned up very well after the job was done. Part of the contract with them was to seal up the exterior and interior of the house where we were experiencing drafts. This part of the job was completed on March 23rd to my satisfaction. The primary reason why they had to wait to finish the job was because of weather You can't seal and caulk when it's too cold, and we finally got a little break here in March. The same team, Mike and Mike, came out and sealed up what they could and gave sound advice on areas that were out of their reach. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my service from Cincinnati Foundation Company.
Description of Work: Install three concrete piers in the back of the house to support an addition that was put on before we moved it. The addition was pulling away from the existing structure. Seal up any cracks on the outside of the house and seal/caulk inside areas to eliminate drafts.

My recent experience with Cincinnati Foundation is that honest customer service ends once the job is done and the company receives their payment. Cincinnati Foundation was hired to install piers to repair a foundation issue with my home. The company was paid in full at the time the job was completed. During the job, Chris informed me that there would be a few modifications from the proposed scope based on their findings during excavation. After the job, I asked Chris to provide a brief description and simple drawing showing the work performed. I wanted to make sure I understood the actual work that was done and have the documentation of structural repair when I sell the house. Chris assured me the writeup would be no problem and would be emailed. After several days, I never received an email. I spent the next few weeks following up with Chris via telephone and text politely requesting the document be mailed. Chris repeatedly assured me he had emailed and would Fedex and promised on several occassions to text tracking info. At this point, I wasn?t convinced any document had been sent and was sure I was not being told the truth. I was finally told it was Fedex?d on Sunday 3/10. By Wed 3/13, still no document or tracking info. and I again asked for tracking info. Chris assured me the document had been sent. On Thurs 3/14, I received a condescending text with tracking info. for a package finally sent out that same morning. I received a one page hastily-prepared and unprofessional ?sketch? (no company letterhead, no project address, no project date, etc.). It is obvious that the company had no intention of providing the follow up request, continued to lie about sending it, and seemed to become irritated that I continued to press for the information. I would have gladly paid additional if this document was an issue for the company to prepare. As I was repeatedly ?misled? (both via phone and in writing) about providing simple paperwork, I have little faith in the overall honesty of work and guarantee promoted by the company and am disappointed in their lack of integrity. Based on all the positive reviews, I sincerely hope my experience is the exception as I much prefer to provide positive feedback to companies that I work with.

They were very good and accommodating. We had it scheduled and then it had to be cancelled. Once they got it done, they did a nice job. They cleaned up. However, having said that, the basement is still wet when it rains. And, when they put the sump pump pipes out to the lawn, the lawn started to slope so that you would have a natural drainage and they just took it out to the sidewalk so the sidewalk is always the complete mess and wet. I had to follow up with them. But up until then, everything has been fine. They were very accommodating, professional and nice.

Installed 5 I-beams vertically against the wall; the base of each beam was installed in a pit, anchored to base of the wall footer. Cranks were manufactured and installed to the top of each beam which allows for minor adjustments. This was proactive solution to ensure integriuty of the non-suport wall. Concrete work was done well. They cleaned up or removed excess concrete, stone and soil. Team worked well together, and kept us informed of schedule and scope of work over the 2 days of the job.
Description of Work: Braced buckelling non-support wall, which had in been in service for 87 years. The movement believed to associated with the aging of this house. No moisture was passing through wall - recently french drain had been installed across face of the wall to provide protection from potential damage from surface water.

the sale Philip Brown met with my husband and explained what would happen and their work scope seemed to match two other estimates we had, but at a better price. Plus they could get to us to do the work sooner. So we signed the contract. They showed up a day and a half later than we expected, but stayed with the work until finished. The work was done in a professional manner. They said they would remove their trailer the next day...but I had to call two more times on two more days so we could regain use of our driveway. 1 1
Description of Work: The Company installed drainage tile, gravel and new concrete around the perimeter of the basement and also did crack repair and installed three I-beams to assist with the basement wall not moving anymore. They also installed a new sump pump in place of an existing one. Everything went as planned but took 3 days instead of 1 1/2 days as they originally thought. They included a lifetime transferable warranty.

They were not very responsive. They smoked in the house even though I told them not to. We had a disagreement about what they did and what they started to do. I had to insist them to do the work I requested. It was not a very good experience with them. The basement is dry so they did complete the work as desired.

Cincinnati Foundation Co. came out on a Saturday to give me an estimate on installing a basement waterproofing system, sump pump, and tie-back on a retaining wall. Their sales representatives are punctual and polite, and don't try to make you think your house is about to collapse to justify an inflated price. After having a couple reps from similar companies come out, Cincinnati Foundation's approach was honest, straightforward, and appreciated. Their bid was very reasonable as well, lower than the first two places I'd dealt with, but not so low as to make you wonder what was being left out to arrive at such a low bid. Time was of the essence in my situation, and Cincinnati Foundation actually came out the next day, a Sunday, and worked all afternoon. They came back on Monday and worked all day, literally until 10 pm, until they were finished. The guys who did the work were friendly, hardworking, polite and competent, and I would recommend them in a second. The sales reps are very responsive as well if you need to talk to them while the actual work is being done- this doesn't seem to be an outfit where one guy makes the sale, then you never hear from him again. The installation went smoothly and things look great in the basement. The sump pump works well and I am very happy with the price, their responsiveness and punctuality, and most importantly, the job itself. In summary I would recommend Cincinnati Foundation Co. without hesitation!

His name is Curt Prinble. His quote was for $23,000 and it involved a whole lot of cement. His idea was big and clunky. I didn’t think it would work. So we called in some architect friends of ours; they said it was not that big a deal and offered to help us out. We have not gone with anybody. He seemed to really know his business. He seemed down to earth. He reminded us of our brother-in–law and we really liked him. The plan he had though, just sounded like too much, not the money but what he was going to do.

My entire front, basement wall (block const.) was bowing inward, and I was concerned about the structural integrity of the house. Chris came out to check it out and gave me more than one option for repair, which I liked. I told him which option I preferred and he set a date for work to start a week later. He and his crew arrived on the work site ready to get to it. Chris and his entire crew were polite and personable. They were helpful and detailed in answering all my questions while they worked on the job. They were up-front and gave all the specifics of the work they were performing while (and before) they were doing it. The job went very well and exactly as Chris had explained it would go (the weather helped a little too). They installed 7 tie-backs in an afternoon and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. I am very pleased with the work that Chris and his team did. He has a vast number of total years of experience doing foundation repair on his team (as I learned through talking with them), and they know how to fix the problem correctly. I would definitely hire Chris again for foundation repair work, but I don't think I will ever need any now.
Description of Work: Install tie-backs spaced evenly along the entire front wall of my finished basement. Dig a trench in the front yard, push large gauge threaded steel rods through holes drilled in the block foundation through the wall and into the trench in the front yard, construct concrete forms in the trench to anchor the rods, install steel plates on the inner basement wall onto the ends of the threaded rods, install washers and nuts to tension the plates on the basement walls, fill the trench with concrete and backfill the dirt, grade the excess dirt into the area of my choosing.

After seeing a computer animated, glitzy high-powered presentation wanting to sell me much more than I thought I needed with a price to match, Cincinnati Foundation showed up with a rule and a clipboard. He looked at the basement, did some measurements, and we discussed options and recommendations. Timing was my only concern. Rain & vacations interfered with the planned initial start date. The steel stabilizer beams were mis-cut by the supplier and by the time they were ready the second time, the company had moved on to other jobs. As a result it took a couple weeks longer to get the final touches finished on the job. (one week for the concrete anchors to cure). The workers were very considerate of our schedules and house and extremely polite. They even played frisbee with the dog whenever they walked by. Telephone calls were always returned the same day and questions answered. Nothing fancy but good work at a good price.
Description of Work: The "dry" basement of the house we just bought was flooding when it rained. Cincinnati Foundation installed an interior basement drainage system, four steel beams to stabilize the front wall and seven tie-backs to pull the bow out of the poured-concrete back wall. Also broke out and re-poured garage floor and removed some other concrete for me.

** update 3.22.12**** After my review below Cincinnati foundation contacted us and came out tonight to look at the area between the houses and the other issues. They have offered to install a drain in between ours and our neighbors home to help pull the water out of the area. Also will be doing the additional work needed for the cost of the supplies/materials only. I am very satisfied with their response, and once the additional work is completed, I will by happy to update my review based on the new work. Original review we had a guy come out and do the estimate. he walked all the way around the house and provided my husband with an estimate. we were given the option to be "on call", so if they finished another job early they could do ours so the workers wouldnt lose days off work and we got a significant discount. we took that option. We got 24 hours notice of when they were coming, which was fine. however, after the estimate, another person, the person over the actual job was supposed to come out and review everything and make sure the estimate was correct, discuss what needed to be done the day of, etc. he made an appt with me as my husband was out of town. he called me 30 minutes before and said he couldnt come and then started complaining about the current customer whose home he was at right then. he then made arrangements to come the next time and never showed. when they contacted me about coming to do the actual work, he said he would be there at 8 when the guys came to start to go over everything with me. i got my kids up early and got them to their sitter and school and then rushed home to be there at 8. i made arrangements to go in to work late. the workers showed up at 8, but not the guy in charge of the work. when i asked where he was, i was told "oh he wont be here for a while, he had to pick up supplies"the workers themselves did a decent job and were very pleasant. however they totally ripped up the yard between our house and our neighbors. i had no idea that would happen and would have warned my neighbors but noone mentioned it. so now our neighbors are mad at us and we will be having to pay a large amount out of our pocket this summer to fix the grass. the foreman was there when i got home, and they did get the work done in one day. he showed me two other issues they found. one should have been caught by the guy who gave the estimate and had the foreman come out like he was supposed to, he would have found it. my husband was not home and i asked him to send me pictures of the problems he was talking about. he never did. we were supposed to have someone come back and tuckpoint after 30 days. noone came till my husband called in nov/dec. they came and did the outside but were supposed to come back and do the inside and still have not. the foreman was supposed to meet with my husband two different times (my husband was out of town as his mother was dying and the foreman was supposed to go over everything with him when he returned) and he never showed up, nor called to reschedule. we went with this company b/c we got the discount on the price and we had a set amount of money we could spend. they were the only ones that would do the work with what we could afford to do. however, i would not ever recommend them nor will i use them again. i am completely dissatisfied with their professionalism. the work was completed that we needed but not professionally.
Description of Work: We needed to have our garage piered, as it was sinking on one side. additional problems were found in garage and side of the house that will be worked on in the coming months and I will update my review after that work is completed.

Basement was leaking water from under foundation. Cincinnati Foundation came out and put in an exterior water proofing system that has worked unbelievably! Since the system was installed we've had very heavy rains and happy to report absolutely zero water in our basement. The guys were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend Cincinnati Foundation. Jason

Our basement had been leaking water for some time. We contacted Cincinnati Foundation and they came within two days to price the job. We hired them and they returned in about a week. It took 3 days to complete the job which I thought was pretty impresive. They sawed a 1' wide section from the entire perimeter of the basement floor and installed a 4" tube all the way around. Then put the tube into a sump pump basin. They also dug a trench around the house and installed another 4" tube. This company did everything they said with excellent quality.

The job went just like Cincy Foundation said it would. Nice and smooth the guys were ontime and did not let up till the job was done. Man!!!!! thos guys are the hardest workes i have ever seen. This operation has the most ethics out of all the companies i have interviewed. I would not worry about going with Cincy foundation. The price may have been high but good and cheap does not go hand in hand. I wanted to see how the waterproofing held up after all of the rain we have had and i am happy to report that my basement is bone dry. Thanks guys ....Mike

We had a two foot chunk of concrete fall off our foundation at the end of the support beam. Another company wanted quite a bit more money just to repair that. Phil and Chris explained why it had happened and fixed the source of the problem. They installed two tie backs into the foundation and repaired several cracks in the foundation we hadn't noticed, as well as the ones we were aware of. They sealed them from the outside as well as the inside. This saved us what could have been a major problem in the future. They were very honest and professional
