Scott and his team were absolutely fantastic to work with! They were timely and communicated very well when we had questions and while we were waiting for the concrete truck. We had some rain occur in between the demo and pouring, which couldn't have been avoided but did delay the project slightly. Rather than rushing to pour too soon, they wanted to wait and make sure they were doing the best job possible so the concrete would form properly. We really appreciated the extra efforts they took to do our job right. Originally, our steps were open underneath due to a dryer vent placement. They re-routed the vent (making it easier for us to get to in the process) and corrected the original poor design of a floating slab, filling in the open space and re-using the original concrete pieces to help fill in the space (great thinking!). They were very knowledgeable and friendly to work with throughout the process. When I had questions or concerns I emailed the owner, Scott, and he would reply quickly with an answer or resolution. We've received lots of complements on the work Scott's team performed and I have referred him to several family members and friends already. If I ever need concrete work done again, rest assured I will be contracting Scott at Cincinnati Concrete Solutions to do the work. Thanks for making this experience a great one!!

Scott, the owner, came and gave a reasonable estimate for the job. Also gave details of each. Very professional. The job was scheduled 2 weeks later because they are booked. It was rescheduled because of bad weather but it was worth it. Reuben, who did the job, definitely know what he is doing. He was very friendly and professional. I would recommend hiring him again.
Description of Work: The builder did a very crappy job with the foundation before pouring the concrete. The porch sank, tilted, and it left a gaping hole between the porch and the house and the wall.

Scott, the owner, came out to my house when he said that he would and provided me a written estimate. Someone else off this list provided me an estimate, sight unseen, and it was much higher than this one. The repair was done last week (as promised) and over the course of two days. The gentleman that actually did the work was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and when he did the repair, he corrected the slope and the thickness which were not correct in the original. This was probably a small job for Cincinnati Concrete as compared with what is normal, but it certainly convinced me that I would use them for a larger project.

Few months after they completed the work, I noticed several broken slabs and many concrete on the surrounding walls. I contacted the company last March 5, 2016. So far we have exchanged thirteen messages with Scott. He keeps repeating the same thing: they will pass by my house to repair the broken slab in a few days. Well, 175 days later (and counting) and still waiting for them to honor their work.

Scott came out, asked what I wanted, immediately emailed me a quote, and I scheduled for him to start. It was that easy! The start date was approximately 4 weeks from when I signed the contract, and even that far in advance, he was off by only 2 days, which is pretty amazing considering that they work outdoors, and weather can ruin entire days for them! Joe and Bill did most of the work, and they arrived early, worked hard, and did a beautiful job. Evidently, there was an obnoxious amount of rebar in the old patio, and they worked in extreme heat to do a great job breaking it up. Scott is easy to communicate with, and made great suggestions for the design of the new patio. He always promptly responded to my emails. The only problem that I have is that our new patio looks so great that it puts the rest of our house to shame! I am hoping to have Scott and his crew give us a new set of steps next year.

Concrete walkway was completed and looks good. However, they left pieces of concrete that were not cleaned up. They also cut the electric dog wire fence. I was promised a reimbursement of the cost of repairing the electric wire. That reimbursement has never been received. I have given them five months to reimburse me. They keep saying they will send check, but it has never been received.

We at Cincinnati Concrete Solutions agree with the homeowners statement the concrete work was good but our cleanup wasn't the best, winter came along so we waited for spring to do a final cleanup which we did with topsoil seed and straw we also apperently hit a dog fence which we did reimburse the homeowner. I was just a bit confused on the dog fence cause I thought it was no longer in use but that was my fault for not looking into it further. Thank You

We called 3 companies on Angie's list to get quotes, Scott responded immediately and came out in 2 days to talk to us about the job. One company never responded and the other company said they could come out in 3 weeks to give us a quote! That was the week Scott sent his crew to do the work. We had bare ground - no old deck or patio to remove. Scott sent out a 2 man crew who showed up at 8:30 on a Monday morning as promised with a bobcat. They looked over the job, made sure they understood what we expected and started working. By the end of the first day they had dug out the area, put in the gravel base, framed in the entire area and the step. They showed up at 8:00 AM the next morning and started to work right away. The crew did some final adjustments to the framing and laid out the rebar, when the cement truck showed up they worked diligently; pouring, smoothing, checking the slope. They worked non-stop until 7:00 that evening and our patio was done. And it looks great - we cannot recommend Cincinnati Concrete Solutions highly enough! A few notes to be aware - the bobcat tears up the yard. Before the crew left they did their best to smooth out the damage. We have already planted grass seed and laid straw - this was inevitable and we were not upset by it. Just something you should be aware of. The crew of 2 had tattoos and, at first glance, you might think they look a little rough. They were totally professional, really knew their trade, worked their tails off and did an amazing job. Finally - when he showed up to quote I asked Scott about a few negative reviews I had read on Angie's List - he explained that he had made some mistakes in communication when his business grew faster than he was prepared for, he owned it, admitted the mistakes and told us he learned some things about managing expectations with customers. We hired him and are really glad we did! We will be calling Scott again soon to get a quote on installing a half wall around the radius and for any other concrete work we need in the future. Our neighbors have also commented on how good the patio looks.
Description of Work: CCS installed a concrete patio with a brush finish. 44' x 15' with a rounded radius about 12' in diameter coming off one corner where we will put a firepit and chairs. They also installed a 22' step extending 15 inches out.

I called Cincinnati Concrete Solutions and the estimate was lower than I was expecting so I decided to have the work done. I was happy with the Angie's list reviews so I never called anywhere else for another estimate. Most of the original 1952 era concrete in my driveway, sidewalks, and walkways was cracked, crumbling and sunk. A crew of about five came on time and removed the concrete and installed the frames. The next day the concrete was poured. I was surprised with the large amount of work that had to be done and impressed with how hard the crew members worked. I know concrete work is demanding, difficult and sometimes dangerous so I was pleased I had an experienced professional crew working on this project. Everyone was respectful of my property and they took extra care to protect the surrounding home and yard. The concrete looks great and I have had several compliments from neighbors on the quality of the work. I would recommend Cincinnati Concrete Solutions.

I was having a hard time finding someone to do the work. As concrete work goes this was a small job. I called CCS and Scott came that afternoon and the parameters were agreed upon. An agreement was signed and mailed to CCS on 7/2/14. Said agreement specified washing the slab, remove and replace the damaged step, apply a Rapid set cement with polymer to existing low spot, allow leveling to tighten and a final 1/16" to 1/8" application of Propatch resurfacer applied with a broom finish. The new surface was to properly drain with no low spot pooling and the work was guaranteed to not break up or separate from the base. Work began on time as scheduled on 9/19/14. I had to remove the entire exit door assembly in order for the step to be repaired. This was done in advance. Worker No.1 arrived and pressure washed the slab and satisfactorily removed the shallow step with an electric impact chisel. Worker No.2 arrived and a bonding agent was applied over the slab. A mix of Micro Patch was applied to the low area and was followed with by an application Pro Patch Resurfacer over the entire slab. Then a concrete sealer was sprayed on. A cure time of 3 days was stipulated. On 9/29/14, I called and left a message advising of a blotchy pattern of multiple shades of grey and that pooling was still a problem. Having received no response I called again 10/3 and again left a message. On 10/6 I received an Email from Scott saying he would be out the next week. By 10/19 nothing, thus the beginning 20 Emails( 10 from me and 10 from Scott) these included numerous commitments to come, excuses for not coming. Since it was clear after 7 months this was going nowhere on 4/8/14 I filed a complaint with the BBB. On 5/7/14 received CCS's response from BBB stating that CCS planned "on doing the necessary repairs" by filling " the low spot a doing a complete second overlay". I advised BBB of my acceptance provided the necessary repairs were satisfactorily completed by 5/15/15. On 5/11, CCS sent their man (the one who performed the work) out. It was agreed at that time that he would go back and discuss the issue with Scott and that Scott would contact me and advise as to what would be done. Since then, a couple of unanswered Emails from me as well as a letter with photos and a request of the courtesy of a response. To date, nothing. What a way to operate a business!
Description of Work: The job involved a 10'x14' slab and entailed repairing a crumbling shallow step under an entry door, which was the result of water pooling in a significant low spot, to fill the low spot to eliminate the pooling and to resurface the entire slab to assure proper drainage and appearance. This condition was the result of the original work by the builder and worsened over the 36 years since the house was built.

There were some delays with the start date which were unavoidable given all the rain early in the summer. The crew that came out worked very hard and the driveway was completed on time. I felt the person who was in charge of the crew did a great job communicating with me throughout the process. We were initially very happy, but then the problems began: - Cincinnati Concrete was supposed to get the appropriate permits, which they did not. I received a letter from our village permit division saying there was no permit after the job was done. I contacted Cincinnati Concrete and was told it was more complicated than they thought but they would do it. A week later I received a phone call from the village permit division saying there was still no permit. It took me about 5 minutes and $80 to complete the permit. - a few weeks after the job was completed we noticed a crack running across the width of the driveway. I contacted Cincinnati Concrete, who told me they would come out to look at the crack. They did not, so 2 weeks later I basically threatened them with a bad review and they came out. They said it was due to shrinkage and they would fix it. One month later it still wasn't done, so I email them again. They said they would come out and I gave them a deadline of end of October. This came and went. We had to send another email again threatening to complain. Someone came out the next week and patched the crack. - the patch of the crack looks absolutely terrible. It doesn't match the rest of the driveway and looks like something I could have done myself. I was initially happy with the work and we received a number of positive comments from neighbors. However, I am very disappointed in the follow up. I would like the crack to be repair to our satisfaction and to be refunded for the permit costs.

We did take too long to repair The crack but we've been battling weather conditions trying to coordinate everything. We did the repair and didn't hear anything else and thought there was no problem. We wish if she wasn't happy with it she would've responded to us to allow us to make another attempt. The crack is a hairline crack well within industry standards and no contractor can guarantee a hairline crack will not appear and we went out to do repairs which most contractors would not have done. We are willing to go out again to make an attempt to improve the repair. Thank You Cincinnati Concrete Solutions

Cincinnati Concrete Solutions did a great job on all 3 sets of steps. They showed up when promised, did a good job and cleaned up afterwards. Scott Jaeger was cooperative, responded promptly to questions, and was especially patient and very nice to my elderly mom, who got a Senior discount. The steps look nice, seem to be very sturdy and hopefully will last a long time. They were also affordable. Highly recommend this company!

We hired Cincinnati Concrete Solutions without much hesitation in late 2013 to replace our asphalt driveway with a concrete slab option. We'd used CCS in the past and had great results. This experience has, unfortunately, been entirely different and we are left in the position where all we can do is comment on the experience here on Angie's List. As stated we had the driveway replaced in Oct. 2014 without issue. Our contract (and payment) included Cincinnati Concrete Solutions coming back one year later to power wash and apply an Aquapel sealant. At Scott's suggestion, we agreed to wait until this year to seal the driveway. Starting in July 2015 we reached out Scott to start the process of scheduling the power washing and sealing to (1) give them enough time to schedule us before the end of the season and to (2) have the opportunity to meet with Scott to discuss ways to remedy two trouble spots with the workmanship of the driveway (a significant crack in one of the slabs as well as a spot that his crew patched with QuickCrete during the initial pour), prior to the end of the 1 yr. warranty. To date (31Oct2015) we have contacted CCS by phone, email, and his website 10 different times and Scott has either not responded at all (8 of the 10 contacts) or has only responded that he'd get back to us with times he would come out (the other 2 times). We have given him more than enough opportunity to complete the work and are left with feeling that we've been completely cheated. So, currently we: 1. have a driveway with a significant crack and a spot that was "QuickCreted" during the initial job 2. have a driveway that has not been sealed over one year later 3. have paid upfront for work (power washing and sealing) that has not been completed. We are not ones to rate vendors badly, but again we feel totally cheated in this situation.

I explained we'd complete the work no later than thanksgiving. I'm hoping to still have the opportunity to make this right for Keegan. Our initial experience was positive; CCS came out and gave us a competitive estimate and an extremely detailed job description. We arranged for them to come out again about a week prior to work commencing in order to do final measurements at which time they wanted our deposit. When the time came for them to come out, they let us know that they had received the contract for a much larger job, and would have to reschedule for late October/early November. We agreed to that and haven't heard from them since. We have sent multiple (five or six) emails and left numerous phone messages with no response. Had we known they didn't intend to do the work, we would have tried to find another contractor to do the work. We believed that they intended to do the job, but a month of complete non-responsiveness tells me they never intended to do the work.

Cincinnati Concrete Solutions came and laid a new driveway. They came out on time and finished on time the work was done well. It was the aftercare that was the issue. They tore the soil up removing equipment from the site and damage the lanscaping of the yard and the driving. They also left a hole in the cement they laid. In front of my porch is a small island and they did not put it back to the way they said they were going to. All they did was sprinkle a little dirt down and then took off. I found this extremely unprofessional and now a having issues getting in contact with the service provider. I even gave the workers a tip in good faith for the that they done as it was dark when the work was finished and to come out and see the mess they have left is very disappointing. I am now experiencing issue contacting the SP and they refuse to call me back and discuss the problems they caused. There was no follow up on the work since they left the job, seems like they did not care about their work.

They worked long and hard to get the final product looking perfect. They made sure everything was level and the new concrete meshed well with the remaining old concrete. They were careful around my plantings and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend this company and this crew.

The crew from Cincinnati Concrete Solutions did a really great job on excavating and installing a rectangular 12 x 15 stamped concrete patio in my backyard. The patio is adjacent to my porch and backdoor and was installed with ample water run off away from the house. The total time was about 2.5 days to complete the job but would have been quicker if I did not have a few obstacles in my backyard. This is no fault of the crew and they were able to work creatively to still accomplish the job in a timely fashion. The patio was competitively priced to other concrete/excavation companies in the area but actually had less lead time, which was great for us to use the patio this summer and fall. Scott was very helpful in fitting my installation in and the crew was very courteous and thorough during the installation process. Would recommend to friends and family.

Due to an opening in their schedule and good weather, a crew was able to get started right away. I didn't need a large patio (just a 20x12 and a couple of steps). It also helped that my house is a new construction so there was nothing to move but dirt before they got started. They worked all day on the first day getting everything framed and poured, with the pattern and color I selected. The next morning, they came back to seal the patio. So, in about 1.5 days, I had a new patio done to my specifications. I waited about a week before setting out patio furniture but, I am very happy with the look and the work, so far. We also get a lot of compliments about it. So, I'd have to say it was a job well-done.
Description of Work: They built a stamped concrete patio.
From my first phone conversation to the last clean-up detail, the experience was positive. The work was completed on time, as scheduled, even with sporadic rain. The professionalism of the crew was first rate, and the attention to detail was remarkable.
Description of Work: Repaired cracked garage floor, replaced concrete driveway, replaced front walkway with stamped concrete.
