I was notified that they are no longer going to going to be carrying the wireless prepaid services through Cincinnati Bell, and I was told that we need to switch to the wireless carrier of our choice. I was given 3 weeks to switch to another carrier, and I was informed that I would have to use the balance of the prepaid phone or the minutes would be forfeited. My issue is that the phone is my Aunt's, who is currently out of country, and there would be no way that $80 worth of minutes would be used within 21 days. After being bounced around several customer service agents, I was given the run around that I was unable to speak with them, not a manager. It's very frustrating that I was unable to talk to someone that would understand the issue of in no way being able to use all of these minutes within a short period of time. What I am seeking would be a credit for some of the money that I have for the prepaid for the talk minutes. I just think that is a lot of talk time to ask any customer to use within a 3 week period. This is a very poor business practice and it is very frustrating that customer needs/money is not being considered within this scenario.

They can't find anything and yet I STILL do not have phone or internet service 50% of the time. Still being CHARGED full price for a service I am unable to use. So tired of getting the run around from them. Customer service doesn't speak English. They read their script, make an appointment. The tech shows up, looks around and says nothing's wrong. If nothing is wrong then why can't I get a brand new phone to work? Or even an ancient non-electronic phone to work? Where is the high speed internet you promised me? Why are you billing me for a service I can't use? I have ZERO phone service and have had NO PHONE for the last week. My internet may or may not work. Nobody seems to know WHY altho the issue is CLEARLY from the phone line to the house as there is NO DIAL TONE coming into the house. They still charge me for a full month of service even though I have not been able to USE the service because it doesn't work. Ridiculous! I'm so disgusted with them but I'd rather use the postal service than go back to Time Warner. Isn't there a DECENT RELIABLE internet service provider in this town? Right now it's just the lesser of two evils and it's STILL evil.
Description of Work: My telephone and internet had been down intermittently for two weeks. I called to have the technician come out and make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the wires. This periodically happens and Cincinnati Bell typically shrugs their collective shoulders and says there's nothing they can do. The technician showed up, checked all of the wiring in the house - not a single thing wrong. He then checks outside and on the phone pole. Nothing is wrong (he says). A month later, I STILL do NOT have reliable phone connection or internet. Why? They don't know. The issue is OUTSIDE of the house but they can't seem to be able to find it and fix it.

They were supposed to cancel my cable and keep the internet (I'm in a monopoly zone), of which I had confirmation over the phone over a month ago, but they didn't. Service was supposed to stop on the 3rd, I turned on my TV on the 4th and cable was out, so I assumed they had disconnected the service as requested. It turns out that it is just horrible cable and was down anyways, they did not disconnect the service, and billed me for it. Their customer service in resolving this is atrocious. I now recommend to people moving to Cincinnati to make sure that the apartment they are choosing is NOT in a Cincinnati Bell monopoly area because the service is that bad.

We have been customers of Cincinnati Bell (CB) for over 25 years and have been satisfied with our home phone service and internet. On the other hand, the customer service associated with CIncinnati Bell Wireless has been very disappointing. We have tried resolving this situation with Cincinnati Bell with no satisfaction. In a nutshell (1) In February CB failed to take our second phone off the bill after we terminated service on it (January). The agent was more interested in trying to convince us to keep the phone than to listen to our request. (2) CB failed to reduce the plan from 500 minutes to 200 minutes as we requested in January. Instead they increased service to 700 minutes. (3) We discovered the above in May. The agent agreed to correct the plan to 200 going forward but refused to adjust prior months bill, because we hadn't found it quickly enough (4) The agent referred our dispute on prior months bill to another group who would call within 48 hrs. (5) Having still not heard from them, we followed up a week later and were told that an agent would call, but they could not tell us exactly when. (6) We just received our next bill which had no correction to 200 minute plan as per item 3 above. It seems to us that CB wireless does not listen to customer requests about service changes. For us, they have ignored requests (three times now) when those requests would reduce the revenue of Cincinnati Bell. One experience with a customer service rep, the rep was defensive and accusatory. In another, the rep would not give up trying to change our minds about a simple service change request. The whole experience has been very frustrating and we could not, in good conscience, recommend this company to others.

We've been using them since 1977. We were getting charges that were way off the wall. They eventually took care of it. They didn't really explain some fees but other than that everything has been fine. There were a couple of bills that were high because we put our granddaughter on. The quality has always been good.

Overall? It went like it always does. I wait forever and they fix nothing. It is an absolute frustration. I am in Cincinnati Bell H***!!!!!!!
Description of Work: I signed up for Blackberry service in June 2010. It has been nothing but a problem. Calls drop in areas like Hyde Park, Mt Lookout, Beechmont , Montgomery, Madeira, Loveland, etc - ALL OVER. Nothing is reliable. I have been in the Kenwood store at least 15x trying to solve the same problem and I can only conclude one thing. The service is garbage. They cannot fix it. I have tried new phones - nothing. I think the straw that broke the camels proverbial back came last week. When I went in for the umpteenth time to see what can be done about excessive dropped calls, they put an unwanted app on my phone. I did not ask for or want this. Bell did this without my permission. This is the second time this has happened. I would think it is my right to pick and choose waht apps I want. They just put them on, probably because of some financial deal they broker, but it is wrong. The first was Cellfire, this was Bell "Apps" It would be one thing if I could delete them, but the phone won't let me. The rep at the store couldn't do it either. No one will give me an answer as to why they do this. Don't consumers have some rights here? How DARE they just put a commercial on my device without getting my permission first. If they do this, what else do they do? Is surveilance tak\ing place? Are they listening in? Probably not as that would require phone service that is reliable and actually works. DO NOT GET SMARTPHONE SERVICE FROM THESE THEIVES!!!!! Run, don't walk to their nearest competitor. Dump your home service too.

The service is excellent at Cincinnati Bell. We pay one bill for everything and we don't have any problem. We use the cell phone service primarily for making phone calls. We are not into text services or anything like that. We don't need any of the extra features. They are very good.

We've used Cincinnati Bell Wireless for our cell phones for years now. I've always been pleased with the overall service. They've added more and more towers over the years to the point that I rarely experience dropped calls while driving around. Their stores are nicely laid out and their customer support on the phone is really some of the best I've dealt with.
