well, for starters we had our cable hooked up and the internet was due to come a week later, which was fine we were fine with patiently waiting and putting all on demand and cell phone uses on hold for a week. We survived until the day came that they were supposed to show up. They gave us a window from 12-4 pm. 330 rolls around we call, and they told us we didn't even have an account set up no order was in the system for us. So we asked what we could do and they were very unhelpful. They kept giving us the run around on when they would be able to come, etc. We explained our frustrations very kindly. And the customer service rep said we can have another tech come out when the account shows up in our system and my husband said "so we have to wait another week?" his response was "or two." that is not customer service, we are paying for something that we don't have or have not used. Friday they told us to call back today which is Monday and they told us that they cancelled our account! - For what reason I am not sure. But now member of management can tell us what the issue is. We aren't asking for problems we just want the wireless internet, since we had cancelled our previous provider to avoid double paying. I am not sure how the internet works through them because we don't have it yet, but I can tell you that on the customer service end of things they are an absolute disaster horrific experience so far. So if you are looking for customer service, Cincinnati Bell unfortunately isn't the route you want to take. Pick a better company, Time Warner was great with service their prices were just higher, so I guess its true you get what you pay for.

It was bad from the start. The installer had a terrible appearance, unshaven, with dirty clothes & shoes and he reeked of cigarette smoke. He totally messed up the installation. My order called for 2 DVR boxes and he claimed that one box could record and route recordings to the other box to be stores. Well only one box was a DVR and it has taken 2 and 1/2 hours of phone calls to the Philippines to get nothing resolved. I now have to take the equipment to a local Cincinnati Bell store for an exchange then I need to install the proper DVR box. It has been 3 days of total frustration and limited TV use. The picture quality is not as good as Direct TV and the TV Remote is poor with tiny buttons which are hard to read. I wish I had stayed with Direct TV since they are far superior to Cincinnati Bell. Cincinnati Bell totally sucked at cell phones and it looks like they are going the same way with their TV service.

I called Cincinnati Bell to assess my home phone service as it wasn't working correctly. Issue: Able to make calls, but no one can hear me. If someone calls in, the phone works fine. (Note-I had bought new cordless phones as I thought the phone was the problem). I had two previous service calls for the same issue within the last two weeks. The last technician informed me I would need my Motorola phone box swapped out with a Kalix phone box. He stated that would resolve the issue and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment then. He would have done it at the time, but didn't have a Kalix box with him. I said I'd call to make an appointment because I needed to look at my calendar first. He made notes in the account stating what needed to be done. The Cincinnati Bell technician, Larry, who came out August 22nd, would not listen to what had occurred over the last two weeks. He would not even let me tell him what the problem was. He stated he was here to assess no dial tone and would not check the notes from the previous two visits. He plugged in a corded phone and said it worked fine. He stated it was my cordless phones that were the problem. When he left, he stated "I will be charging you for this visit." Larry had an extremely unprofessional attitude, tone of voice, and expertise. Larry never checked the actual phone box Cincinnati Bell had installed when we got the service. The cordless phones remain with the same issue. I called Cincinnati Bell after the technician left and explained what had occurred. They stated they would escalate the problem, scheduled another appointment, and said they would call me back in 5 minutes. After an hour, I called them back to cancel my next appointment. After two weeks of calls to customer service reps, countless hours of time on hold, and waiting on Service Technicians, I am done with Cincinnati Bell. I will be canceling my service.

Cost of Internet service was increased. I was charged for a router that I did not receive. The internet does not work & service does not improve the internet connection.

This is robbery and I told the customer service agent so. I will never use them again. Their reasoning makes no sense at all - that my billing cycle started on May 20 so I'm charged for a full month in full. I also told them that I live in a condominium community that pushes Cincinnati Bell and I will make as many neighbors as possible aware of this incident and encourage them not to use the company. The reason for changing service is because when watching television it would lock up or audio would follow after the person spoke in the show - like a bad Japanese movie. I would call Cincinnati Bell and the end result was that each week I needed to reboot the system to try to avoid this happening and it didn't always work. I have a friend's daughter with Down's Syndrome in my home and her health is fading. She is under hospice care. Because she is bedridden now about all that she can to is watch television. The Cincinnati Bell service was not adequate so I changed to another provider.
Description of Work: I contacted them on May 22 to advise switching carriers. Returned equipment to local Cincinnati Bell office on June 26 (June 25 being a holiday and they were not open after the weekend). Have been billed for cycle beginning May 20- June 19. Spoke with two different customer service people and was told that they do not "pro-rate" their services so even though they did not provide my service beginning May 22, they are making me pay for service through June 19.

They are responsive if you can get a hold of them. If you call them, they put you on a 2-hour wait. They call you back and put you on another wait for 30 minutes before you get to actually talk to somebody. I am not too happy about that. Other than that, their service work is pretty good, and their pricing is cheaper than everybody else.

Description of Work: I have been a customer of Cincinnati Bell Fioptics TV since May, of 2011. I was satisfied with this service until November of 2012. I started to have problems using the fast forward option when viewing recorded programs. The screen would freeze and would not move forward. Contacted Cincinnati Bell, and a tech came out to investigate. He stated he could not believe he was sent out on this call, because the company was very aware of this problem, and they were unable to fix it at that point. He explained that this occurred during a recent systems upgrade. I have since called Cincinnate Bell on at least two ocassions, checking to see if this matter has been resolved yet. I was told I would received a "credit" for my inconvenience, (and this was only because I asked for one) but not until the problem was solved! So, how long will that take - weeks.... months.... years? My most recent call was yesterday. Because they were busy, I keyed in my phone number for a call back when it was my turn. I received my call back within the promised time of 20 minutes, but when they picked up, we were disconnected. I might add that my phone servide is provided by Cincinnati Bell. Seriously? I am appalled that Cincinnati Bell has not taken it upon themselves to contact all customers affected by this. In addition, we should be receiving a credit on each monthly bill until this matter is resolved. My contract is up this May, and then I will take my phone, TV, and internet service elsewhere. Guess I can kiss that "credit" goodbye too.

The guy who came to install the connection did a good job and beyond that it is pretty normal television service with nothing that stands out. I would use them again in the future.

Description of Work: Called to get a land line for security system. Made all the arrangements and when security installers showed up I had no service to my line. Called Cincy Bell and was always on hold most holds lasted more than 10 minutes. They said they would send a tech out to make sure all was ok. Next day no one showed up or called to say they would be late. I just called and after waiting on hold for another 15 mins. cancelled the service altogether. Then they sent me a bill for the next month. Go with time warner same price better service.

I have been having trouble with the wireless and they have been very responsive in coming and helping me. I always had good service from them.
