Description of Work: I called Sam on Saturday late my Ac went out. Left a message he called me right back he was out of town holiday weekend he walked through a checklist with me. Yes i needed service he told me to turn off system but turn fan on only to prevent any damage to system. Sam called early Monday morning was at my house a hour later. As it turned out it was a bad capitator he was finished in less than a hour. The price was great and so was the service. Sam is very kind, personable and smart and informative he gave me some great tips if I have a problem in the future. I will definatly call him again in the future, I highly recommend his company for great service and price !!!

Description of Work: Chilly Heating did a check-up of my furnace and heat pump prior to the winter season. They arrived on time and did a thorough cleaning and inspection of the equipment. When I mentioned that other techs had told me that my heating system was very old and needed to be replaced, he found a code on the label, and determined that it wasn't as old as I'd been told. He said he thought it was working well, and would probably last a few more years. I appreciated his not trying to scare me with dire predictions of imminent equipment failure.

Description of Work: This was a simple 20 point check for the AC (only 2 years old) which was Angie's List priced at $69. Everything went smoothly,except I did later discovered that the service person had put a sticker with Chilly's phone # and name over the one for the company we purchased the furnace/AC from. If asked, I would have declined. Now, I can't remove it without scratching the original.

+ -1 moreGreat! Sam Childress (owner) responded immediately on a Sunday morning, EARLY, when we discovered that our heat was not turning on, on one of the coldest mornings of the year. He arrived in 45 minutes, identified the issue, fixed the issue, and our heat is now back on. He explained to us the situation and walked us through how he fixed it. He was professional and punctual, as always. We have used Chilly Heating and Cooling now for about a year for our semi-annual maintenance, but this is the first time we had an emergency call. Great response. We will continue to use this company and would highly recommend to other Angies List members.
Description of Work: Furnace was not getting power to start up. Service provider located an old switch in the ceiling that had been left in from the original installation (not done by Chilly, but by a major a/c company in Cincinnati) that had gone bad. He rewired to the correct switch and everything is now up and running.

+ -1 moreWhile we were out of town on vacation over July 4th, we had a friend stay at our house. The temperatures were in the mid 90"s and our A/C was not working. The outside line had frozen over. After calling other 'big' name companies in northern Cincinnati, I was told that no one could come out for 2-3 days. My mother recommended Chilly Heating and Air. I called and explained the problem and he said he'd be out within a couple of hours. The other problem was that they don't accept credit cards so I explained that I was in Maine and could wire the money to my neighbor. He graciously came out before the wire transfer took place and only had my wire enough to cover the service call and 1 pound of freon. He said that if I owed him more, we could settle up later. Once he arrived, and found the line frozen, he said that he would need to wait for it to thaw. He then came back on the holiday to fix the A/C. My neighbor said that he was extremely nice and thorough. I have since used him for furnace tune- up and will continue to use them for all future needs.
