His team completed the work and when the pain started to peel within the warranty period he stopped returning our phone calls. Don't trust him or his company.

They did outstanding work. They were punctual, precise, professional and quick. The price was on the high end of what I was willing to pay, but worth it.

Excellent work. The coats were even and smooth. The cut lines between wall and ceiling were precise. They had all the equipment necessary to reach my 20-foot ceilings and they were fast and professional.

We only had the estimate completed which took 2 visits, one to measure and one where he wanted both parties here to discuss. Upon his return to discuss the bid he proceeded cover everything item by item focused on my wife only even though we told him we had already discussed it. His price was more than twice that of all our other bids. When questioned about it, instead of giving the benefits of his service and the advantages to justify his valuation, He proceeded to bash all other companies and say why they were no good. I did my research with the BBB and other rating and review sites, in addition to seeing their work for all companies. He said the BBB was a membership organization and the ratings were them protecting their members. Needless to say we did not go with Certa Pro.

David responded to my request for an estimate, and arrived as scheduled. He spent a lot of time talking about the company which was fine, and asked me to look thru a picture album he brought with him. He spend a lot of time looking the job over, and then indicated that he'd like to sit down with me and my husband to discuss the project. My husband was not available, and he would not discuss with just one party. So he said he'd put the estimate together and come back when both my husband and I were available. Would need about 15 mins. Most other painters I spoke to, will mail or email an estimate after the initial meeting, and/or were certainly willing to go over the estimate with me, alone. Then he sat in front of my house for about 45 mins before he finally left. I felt a lot of sales pressure with this encounter and wasn't ready to make any decision until I talked to others. He followed up with an email and I spoke of my concerns with him and told him I wasn't sure I wanted an estimate under the circumstances. He said if I change my mind to contact him. So last week I emailed him to setup a time to get together so he could present the estimate. No response. Again I attempted to contact him this week...No response.

It went very well. They did a nice job. They did a really good job. It's fine. They're really professional. The fee was good. I was very satisfied with them.

It took them longer than they said to do the job. It was not a very good job. They used inexpensive paint. The paint was faded within six months. I was not pleased with the job they did. The fellow who owned the franchise is not a painter. He had hired other people to do the job. There were issues among there ranks, of the people he hired.

I was not satisfied with the price and I was disappointed. The work was alright. They also did carpentry work. It took them a fair amount of time to finish.

I wasn't happy at all. When I sat down with the guy, I explained to him that I wanted my house to be painted with a certain quality, I just made it clear to him what I was expecting. When I saw the finished product, he had basically power washed it and since it didn't get off most of the old paint, he just painted over it. I just wasn't happy. I paid for top quality paint and its on there and it looks crunchy. It looks horrible and he only painted the trim. If he had listened to me and paid attention to what I was telling him as a consumer, I shouldn't have ended up with that. He told me that would require additional funding. Well it was good until we started having problems. The guys would be cursing a lot in the yard.

They did a fantastic job. I live on a small lot on a hill and they had to climb ladders to get to the top which is 5 stories in the back and 4 stories in the front. They were on time and did a great job. I am still enjoying it. They worked through some problems and they took care of it. It still looks like new. They seemed to know what they were doing because they usually do a lot of people in the neighborhood. I would use them again. They were friendly but not overly friendly. They never seemed to get upset or frustrated. They just dealt with it. If they had to call somebody else in, they did. According to what my neighbors paid, I think I got a good deal. I was impressed because I had to have the house done by another company previously but it seemed like there was a problem every day they came. There wasn't any with these guys at all. If there was something that we hadn't talked about, they would ring the door bell and say, 'We've found something that we want to get your opinion on'.

It went very well. They were efficient. They cleaned up well behind themselves. The prices were reasonable.

Things went pretty well. It went quite well until the end. At the end I wanted some additional work done, which was not in the contract, which we had signed, and we couldn't apparently decide on a way to go ahead with this additional work, until the local franchiser could be contacted, was on the other side of the town, and he wouldn't just agree to anything, until he had come to see it, I wanted him to see what proceeds immediately on a closest basis, and it could not be done apparently, and that annoyed me. The quality of the work they did was certainly not all I'm migh have asked for but it was okay.

I had them do an estimate in the fall, and did not use them. Well, that's on me because it was a bad job. I was looking to use them this time around to fix the errors of the prior painter. Sufficed to say, after waiting for 2 full weeks for them to come out to do an estimate, David calls me and basically berates me for not using them the first time, and even said that their cost would be higher and wanted to know my estimated amount I wanted to pay. He asked this SIGHT UNSEEN of the project. In my book, that's not how an estimate works, they come to me, give me a bid, and I go from there. I will NEVER use this company again. Rude, condescending, and berating. Those are the 3 words I would use for the local lead guy. And they wasted my time for a half a month while I waited for them to come out. Only with the way I was treated, I cancelled the night before.

The subcontracted painters who actually did the work were great. I won't mention names out of respect for them. , The owner of the franchise on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. He was not professional in his contract writing. I would strongly recommend that anyone using this Certa-Pro Painters get an itemized contract with everything listed and have the cost added in as it or is not used. Example What is the base cost to paint "a room"? $$$$. Does a room include ceiling and trim? How much extra to paint the ceiling? $$$$. How much extra to paint trim? If "a room" includes ceiling and trim and is stated in the job description, then that is what you pay. Watch out for double charges on included items!

I think he added along a little more than we expected. He kind of went through somethings. I found he was kind of punctual about things and trying to add on and we just did not feel comfortable with that, as we did not see what he was seeing. He was very punctual.

The provider was professional, but the price was just way, way out of line for the work. More than twice as much as other estimates.

It went very well. I was very pleased with the workers and the workmanship. I felt that they went about it the right way. They did a good job of protecting my landscape and the job was well done. I felt very comfortable with the workers and they worked hard and finished the job on time. Their price was competitive.

The CertaPro owner came to our house looked at it for outside painting, which included prep work, power washing and scraping then gave us a somewhat pricey estimate, but we excepted it. After the crew, (subcontractors) spent some time scraping about 1/2 our house then the owner insisted they were taking too long and had them start painting and they proceeded to paint over the peeling paint on the remainder of the house. After about 2 years some areas started peeling and now the house needs painting again. I did fill out a CertaPro "Customer Comment Card" and stated the lack of prep work. Mr. Funck spoke to me and I pointed out that he knew how much scraping needed to be done but didn't allow enough time. We also used the recommended higher priced paint to last longer but after 2 years some areas started peeling and now the house needs to be repainted.

Went well overall - the talked with us while work was being done, asked to ensure they were doing what we expected. Also, did a walk through once complete.

Our 4 Bedroom home with cedar wood siding needed painted. I received 3 different quotes on the job with CertaPro coming in with the lowest quote. They were so much lower than the other two quotes that I was a little concerned about what kind of quality and professionalism I would see if we chose them for the job. I made sure we were comparing apples to apples and the quotes were for the same work right down to the brand of paint used. We decided it was worth a try and we were very happy with our choice. We were matching the existing trim and siding colors with a single coat. The guy who came out to do the estimate was professional and very polite. Once we gave them the green light the general contractor (point person) we dealt with was polite and very helpful. She had a little trouble finding a match for the trim but was very responsive and wanted to make sure that we were happy with the final choice and results. They did a good job washing, prepping and caulking the house before starting, and we were happy with the results when they were finished. It was not an issue for us because we were not in a rush, but their idea of a "crew" consisted of one guy taking care of all the prep work and another guy doing the majority of the painting with the occational helper here and there. Our painter was very attentive to detail, knew what he was doing, and did a nice job so it was not a problem for us. I just felt bad for the guy. It was not a small job by any means. I would use this company again but I can see that the quality of the work you get depends greatly on which "crew" they assign the job to. You could not beat their pricing and in the end we were very happy with the results. The house looks great.

The initial contact went very smoothly. The owner spent an extensive amount of time (2+ hours) reviewing the project and preparing the bid. The owner assured me that the painters working on my job understood historic homes and had worked on a home that was referenced in my neighborhood, and that the wood damage would be fixed by his master carpenter at an additional rate per hour. I agreed to this because there was extensive wood rot that needed to be addressed. The painters on the crew were very nice, but had no prior knowledge of the home that had been referenced during the bid. They were very average in abilities as was the "master carpenter." The largest item, a Juliet balcony, which needed to be repaired was ignored and deemed beyond the carpenters ability. The owner never checked in and referred my phone call with questions back to the crew. A large boom was rented to complete the high portions of the side of my house that the painters could not reach. Unfortunately they used it in my front yard where it was not necessary (faster than putting up ladders) and caused large tire tracks in my lawn. I now need to have my front yard reseeded and leveled. The work that was done was OK but there are many drips and paint drops that were left on the brick and the surrounding stone windowsills as well as lawn furniture. When I voiced my concern the painters told me it would wash off in the rain. The clean up adequate. Overall the paint job looks good and the carpentry work that was completed was good. Unfortunately I still need someone to complete the job and repair the lawn.

I called CertaPro Painters and the franchise owner for my area scheduled an appointment. He measured everything and then prepared and printed a proposal on his first call. The job started the next week. The on-site job supervisor maintained daily contact. The painting was professionally done and looks great.

They came as scheduled with three guys and finished the job in three days. They did a very unprofessional job for painters. I have called them back several times to take care of their mistakes. They splattered paint on the trim and mop boards. They did not caulk around the windows and did not fill some holes. They charged me more than the price quoted on the contract.
