+ 0 moreI am just so happy. They came out on a Tuesday (the owner Steve and his son) and took a look and had a crew of 2 out for me the next day! They got there at 8:30 am and all was completed by 2:00. The follow up was excellent. I could just go on and on. I am very impressed and want to insulate everything NOW because they were so excellent!
Description of Work: Raccoons had ravaged an eave in our attic, destroyed the insulation, destroyed all the ductwork, one big mess. It was a very small crawl space, but a pretty big area to service, but they did it all!

+ -1 moreI decided to to even get a quote from them and there was apparently some confusion about the appointment.
Description of Work: I was disappointed with confusion over an appointment that ended up wasting a lot of my time and I gave a poor review. Steve Kirby from Central Insulation called me, apologized for this happening with his company and assured me that measures will be taken to be sure that voice mails are checked regularly and phone calls returned promptly. I believe him and have changed my ratings accordingly. His professionalism is apparent and Central Insulation has a good reputation.

+ -1 moreI worked with Kevin Con, their field specialist. Kevin talked to me over the phone for quite awhile to make sure that I had a good estimate and knowledge of the procedure. The team came out early and they were efficient in the processes. I would highly recommend them especially because they worked so closely with our roofing team to get the job done in one day.
Description of Work: They worked side by side with our roofers to do an asbestos removal during an installation.

+ -1 moreAlthough the staff was very apologetic, we were very disappointed. The staff was prompt & efficient, but not overly detail oriented. This is a family company & I imagine the work is very good.
Description of Work: I requested an estimate for retrofitting insulation into an old house. We were given an estimate promptly & we were ready to sign for the work. We were later told that the estimate was a mistake & the new estimate was double the original. We declined the work because of cost.

+ -1 moreMY EXPERIENCE WITH CIS IS THEY ARE NOT DEPENDABLE. AN ISSUE WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN MITIGATED OR AT LEAST A NEGOTIATED START DATE RESCHEDULED WAS LEFT UNTIL THE HOUR WORK WAS TO COMMENCE.
Description of Work: PROPERTY/PROJECT EVALUATED,ESTIMATE RECEIVED, SCHEDULED WORK TO COMMENCE AND COMMITMENT OF COMPLETION. CENTRAL INSULATION'S, STEVE KIRBY TELEPHONED THE MORNING WORK WAS TO COMMENCE AND ADVISED ME THAT HE HAD THE FLU FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND THAT ''APPARENTLY THE TRUCK REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB WAS STILL IN THE SHOP.'' NO FEE WAS CHARGED OR COLLECTED BY CIS, I REQUESTED A TELEPHONE CALL WHEN THE TRUCK WAS REPAIRED. (IN THE MEANTIME I WOULD CONSULT OTHER COMPANIES FOR ESTIMATES). MORE THAN A WEEK LATER CIS HAS NOT CALLED BACK.

+ -1 moreJIM GROSS LED THE TEAM, WHO DID THEIR WORK FAST AND NEATLY. WE NOTICED A DIFFERENCE IMMEDIATELY IN OUR ABILITY TO HEAT THE HOUSE IN COLDEST WEATHER. THEY PROVIDED EXCELLENT ADVICE, AND EXECUTED IT WELL.
Description of Work: FIXED ATTIC INSULATION AND ADDED A SECOND LAYER. PLUGGED DRAFTY HOLES IN KITCHEN WALLS AND FLOOR. REPAIRED AND ADDED TO CRAWL-SPACE INSULATION. PROVIDED EXTRA INSULATION AROUND WATER LINES NEAR OUTSIDE WALLS.
