 + -1 moreGreat help with plant selection, specifically trees. Also had a nice selection of planters including affordable frost resistant planters that have lasted so far. Plants were in good health and they provided good advice on pest control over the phone several months later.

 + -1 moreFour of the eight bushes that I purchased from them died. They will not honor the guarantee. Do not buy from them, they will deceive you to get the sale. Note: My chief issue is that they will not offer the guarantee. The fact that half of the bushes that I purchased from them died is another reason for concern. I have never had a bush or tree die on me before.
Description of Work: I purchased blueberry bushes from them last year. These came with a one year guarantee as is indicated on the reciept. They will not honor this even though I am within the guarantee window. They say they are excluded even though the guarantee on the receipt does not indicate exclusion.

 + -1 moreWe bought stuff from Burger Farm and Garden Center. We use their retail part of their business, I never thought about them for landscaping. Purchased from them last Spring, April of last year. Spent around $200. They have good quality plants, they are not small. Their good quality for the price. Much more than you get at other growers.

 + -1 moreEd was extremely patient as we were thinking about the design of our front yard, spending plenty of quality time in front of his computer trying out different plants and distributions. He has a great software where you can visualize the design of the landscaping. Once we chose the plants, he took us to see them and to hand-pick them and when they did not have them in stock, he went out of his way to get them. Ed suggested new ideas that we would not have thought of but at the same time he was very receptive to our feedback even if it was not what he had suggested. We loved the end result with the river rocks and all the elements and suggestions that he included. He also provided us with clear instructions on the care-taking of the yard and gave suggestions to keep the deer out. Finally, when some electrical wires were affected, he was very responsive and agreed to fix the issue that day with an electrician.

 + -1 moreThis company is evidently not serious enough about landscaping to approach it in a professional manner. To have us come out to him for an appointment, without even having seen the job site, or measured it, immediately made us suspicious. But then, having got to the appointment and discovered they hadn't planned a thing for the meeting should have had us running for the hills right there and then. We persevered with them a little longer, but then they couldn't even bother or have the decency to say the job was beyond their capabilities or expertise. Which is what we have to presume. We eventually chose a far more professional company to do the work for us, and we're so very glad we did. Based on our experience with Burger Farms it's impossible to grade them with anything but low marks and recommend potential customers approach them with an element of caution.
Description of Work: We contacted this company to provide a bid/quote for the landscaping of our entire rear yard. Rather than the owner coming out to take a look at the job, he asked us to e-mail photos of the existing set-up, which we did. He then asked us to make an appointment to come to his office and see him, rather than him come and see us, and were told he would have some ideas for us. At the meeting it became instantly apparent he hadn't prepared anything, hastily photo-shopping our photos with rough ideas that meant nothing. He said he would have something drawn up for us within a week. Two weeks later he contacted us saying he wanted to come out and see the site for himself. He arrived without any further ideas, just bizarre plans on how he was going to lay a new paved path over the cracked/broken concrete of the existing one. He left after just 30 minutes saying we would receive a written proposal within one week. We never heard another thing from him.

They gave me great advice about what plants would look good in my front yard (I showed them a picture of my house) and had a HUGE selection of healthy, beautiful plants. I've been back several times and have always had a good experience. They're a bit more expensive than a place like Lowe's, but the selection and quality of plants is far better and the advice and expertise they provide is just in another league.
Description of Work: I purchased plants and shrubbery to landscape my front yard. Burger provided the plants and advice on what to buy.

 + -1 moreCame out to plant the tree, and they told me as soon as they arrived that the tree had a broken branch and recommended I wait for another tree. They came out the following Monday with another tree and planted it. Their flowers and trees are always of the best quality. They give great service and good advice. They also do not charge as much as a lot of others do to come out and plant trees.
