+ -1 moreThe process of getting a bid was very smooth. Dillon helped me price several options. He did his best to accommodate my schedule. The crew appeared on time and were very efficient. They loaded all the items I wanted to donate and moved them on day one, so that I could use my driveway/garage that evening. They expected the job to take two days, and they were mostly complete after day one. They sent two men back the next day to finish and clean up, which they did in less than 2 hours. I found everyone on the crew to be friendly, polite, and professional. Their communication was excellent. My contractor, who came in to consult on a part of the job, was most impressed and said they were very quick and thorough. He even handed out cards for future subcontracting work. I was so impressed that I gave an extra donation as a tip.
Description of Work: I used their deconstruction services for gutting a kitchen (salvaging of cabinets and appliances, removal of plaster walls down to the stud, removal of flooring). They took care of removal and disposal/recycling. I donated items for resale in their retail outlet, and materials that could be sold for scrap - as Building Value is a social enterprise affiliated with Easter Seals Tri-state, these donations were tax-deductible.
