I cannot speak to the inspection, but I CAN say that they left our home a mess. They accessed a section of room out of our sons bedroom and tracked leaves and other debris from outside into the bedroom and all over our rug. They also used our good wooden dining room chairs in place of a step stool to examine high places throughout the house - dirty footprints left behind to prove it. My wife and I spent a solid hour sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning after they had left our house, and our impression of the firm is zero and we're pretty annoyed at our buyers for picking them. We just did an inspection ourselves with a different firm and saw a level of courtesy with them that blows these guys out of the water. Remember the impression your contractors will leave behind!

Our inspector was very professional and helpful with all the questions that we had. Also, since we are first time home owners, he took time to explain things we might not know. Not only do I recommend this company, but both my realtor and a friend who is a retired home inspector also recommended him.

We used this provider a couple of years ago, specifically Mike Hesterburg. We called this time and were advised that Mike wasn't available, but that Dave Baumann was. It was explained that Dave had been trained by Mike, which, based on the outcome of our encounter with Mike several years ago, gave us the confidence to accept him instead. We were also promised a free termite inspection as a part of the package. On to the inspection: The inspection was scheduled for 1:30pm. We arrived at 1:20, and Dan was already there, and almost finished setting up. (Laptop, tools, etc.) We chatted about his experience and immediately felt comfortable, both with his knowledge and the manner in which he spoke. We proceeded with the inspection, and having been through home inspections before, were happy with what he was doing and how he was explaining everything. (We've owned four houses, and this will be our fifth, so we've had a variety of home inspectors.) Somewhere in the middle of the inspection the termite inspector arrived, and began his checks. We didn't interface with him much, but he was professional and appeared to be thorough in his checks. When he was done, he reported verbally to us that he had found no evidence of termites, and that his report would be emailed later that day. (It arrived within an hour.) Back to Dave... We had not initially requested a Radon test, but Dave explained that Hamilton county is an area that does have the potential for significant Radon. I checked EPA data on my phone, which corroborated Dave's assertion, and we had him add the Radon test. He carries the equipment with him to every home inspection. The cost was $135 on top of the $395 for the inspection. The results of the radon test were negative, but we still consider it money well spent. We went over the items Dave considered significant, as well as the minor items. Dave promised the official report by the next day, and we actually received the report about 10pm that same night. Would we use Building Inspections LLC again? Definitely. Would we use Dave Baumann again? Definitely.

Michael Hesterberg is a professional across the board. He gives a very educated perspective and is extremely thorough. Home inspections are so important in insuring a solid home purchase and Building Inspections LLC is money well spent. Would recommend highly.

Was very easy to schedule and deal with ahead of time. Did a very thorough inspection, and explained things well at inspection. Written report was under stable and is something we'll reference in the future. Was available and helpful for a phone call to explain a few more things in detail from the report.

Mike was very professional, thorough, and did an excellent job explaining the issues he found with the house. He arrived early, and did the entire inspection over about 3.5 hours. While this may sound like a long time, it actually worked out as just the right amount of time for us to familiarize ourselves with everything we didn't originally see when we walked through the home. We were able to branch out and do our own "inspections" - very valuable. Unlike many of the other home inspection reports we have seen recently, Mike's report was not overly bogged down with extra pictures and details of "what was inspected". He does list these things, but he goes more in depth into explanations and priority sorting of the issues seen (what is critical, what should just be noted down). I found this way more helpful than the inspection we had done through another company on a different property. I also didn't realize this, but Mike provides a "recall check" service, where you receive e-mail notifications any time a recall is issued with an appliance in the home. He does this for free, included in the service. That's awesome! It already found a recall on the dishwasher, which we can now plan to act on. I was thoroughly impressed with this inspection, and would absolutely recommend this company to any of my friends.

Awesome service. Mike is very knowledgeable. He is also very friendly and patient, taking the time to answer questions about items he found. He was available for follow-up as well. He was very thorough, and where necessary, recommended some additional inspection on items he found (that he does not do....but had recommended provider who was also great). I told realtor she should definitely recommend Building Inspections and Mike Hesterberg (who did the service).

We were in the process of buying a new home and had Mr. Hesterberg out to do the inspection. He saved us from making a huge and costly mistake. He went above and beyond to not only find the existing problems (small to costly) and took the time to explain it to us and show us pictures of what he found. We had many questions and he answered them all patiently and kindly. The report provided after was detailed and left nothing out. When we found another house that we loved, I insisted the we use the same service again. Mr. Hesterberg did not disappoint. He was thorough, took his time, and explained everything to us. The report provided was easy to understand. I really can't say enough good about this company. I love buying a house in which I feel like there will be minimal surprises. Thank you so much!

Mr hesterberg was very professional, answered all my questions regarding to the condo. He also advised me whom to ask the questions outside his realm of expertise. I followed him throughout the inspection, explaining everything he was doing and looking for. When all said and done, i received my hone inspection report (which was 30 pages long) the next day in details on conditions on every items in the condo. I have paid less in previous inspections, but like they say you get what you paid for. Mr hesterberg is the best in the business.

Michael is AWESOME!!! We are now currently moving into the home he inspected. He was super fast to pick up his phone when we needed him, scheduled us as soon as we could get in and even on a Saturday. Treated us with kid gloves being the first time home buyers that we were but laid down the law on what was serious, and what needed to be fixed, or what could wait a few years. We were impressed with him going through each and every single thing in the house. One example is that he got on his belly and crawled through a space no taller than 3 feet tall if that much. I joked with him at the time that he was "earning his money" as I wasn't getting in there! Come to find out, that back in that dank corner in the basement in the crawl space that no one goes was terminate damage and support damage we would have missed and the seller ended up fixing and taking down some of the price of the home due to Michael's report. We got the report that same night and needed some more things from him later like an official statement on letter head stating clarifying something in the report for the underwriter and again, he got it to us super fast. I really can't say enough good things about our experience with Mike and his company. Again, as first time home buyers and our first inspection it went perfect. We did end up buying the home he inspected but when we buy more property in the future, Michael will be the first person we call as he is now our "go to" inspector person and I will recommend him to everyone I talk to. If it's your first home or your fourteenth, get Michael to check it out first!

Very professional. Little mix up at the beginning but worked its way out. Only bad thing was photos of the roof were missing. Would use again, office staff was professional

After the inspection he talked w/us briefly about any items that may need immediate attention but within 24 hours he provided us a full 36 page detailed report with clear pictures comments, recommendations and actions items that need attention. He was very professional, thorough and informative and clearly knows what he is doing. I will use him again in any future inspections needed.

It went pretty well. The report was very thorough. They were very informative.

Excellent from being a single mom I needed all the advise I could get on my new home purchase. Mike was so informative and gave me suggestions on how to remedy a few problems as well as taking the time to show me how the air filter works and the time of season to replace it. i have used mike twice now and would recommend him to anyone.

Michael Hesterberg with Building Inspections LLC did a great job when inspecting a house we are looking to buy. He was there on time (even earlier than we were) and the sellers were still there, so he talked to them and let them know what was going on while ensuring us that we wouldn't be rushed through the process even though they were present. He and another partner of his took plenty of time going through the house with a fine-toothed comb, pointing things out to us and showing us the home's ins and outs. They explained why certain things should be fixed, what the consequences might be if they were not, and sometimes how we could fix them ourselves. With the both of them going through the house, we were there for a total of 3.5 hours, so I feel like we really got our money's worth. We had the report, filled with images and thorough descriptions, about a day later. One of the biggest reasons why I cannot recommend them enough is that when issues presented themselves, he went above and beyond. Originally, when the termite inspector came, he could not access the crawlspace. Michael made it accessible and immediately called to have him come back the next day to finish his portion. Then, when they couldn't find the electrical box (it was hidden behind a cabinet), he arranged to come back and have it inspected once it was made accessible--even though he was out of town. Every step of the way he was helpful and insightful and easy to work with, and helped us feel confident in moving forward to purchase this home.

Was an EXCELLENT experience. They had one gentleman do the bug inspection on Friday and he emailed me his report that same day. Condo passed and he provided additional advice to prevent future problems. The following day we had the home inspection and radon test. Keep in mind I had every intention of buying the condo. I doubted they were going to find any problems, because the place looked great. Well the inspector found many hidden problems due to structural issues which had caused years of water damage. Problems that would have cost me an additional 10-15K to fix later. As soon as he alerted me to the problems, I told him I was going to back out of the deal. He offered to shut down the radon test and gave me a reduced rate of $375. I was VERY appreciative of that consideration trust me. I am looking at another condo tomorrow and I can tell you if I buy it, this company is the only one I will trust to do my inspection.

Went well. Mike spent a lot of time explaining things to us, but unfortunately some things could not be checked. The seller lives out of town and monitors all systems from his computer and did not have the gas turned on. Once he turned on some of the service, Mike found the AC was not cooling correctly; therefore, this was one item we asked to be serviced along with the furnace and air cleaner. There was evidence of mold on the basement rafters; Mike said we could clean it off with any household product. Our own home was professionally inspected around the same time; we too had mold on some rafters. This buyer has caused us a lot of concern making sure it is professionally removed and retested.( we wish we had asked for the same mold correction, after our inspection). Researching mold, I discovered bleach and other products may appear to remove the mold, but does not kill the spores. Personally, we do not have a great worry about mold, but if we sell this home the new purchaser may ask for the same thing. Anymore, inspectors are under a lot of pressure to knit pick, so as not to be responsible for overlooking something.I wish Mike had been able to get on the roof in order to see the shingles close up, rather then from the ground with binoculars. Overall, Mike was very conscientious, arrived on time and didn't hesitate staying late even though it was a Saturday night.

He was able to make it on short notice.

I had Michael do my whole house inspection and radon test and he was excellent. I had to work late that evening and my wife was comfortable with him the entire time as well. He took the time to answer any and all of our questions and was very detailed in his work. The house was rent to buy and the renter ended up leaving and she mentioned that her inspector was not nearly as thorough as Michael. He was quick to get the results back in an extremely detailed and easy to read document. Would recommend to anyone!
