Worked well with my schedule and the weather. Workers put in long hours and did an excellent job.

Jared showed up to provide estimate and walked through details. Job done timely and well.

He put some shelving up in the bathroom and I had piece of the wood specifically for that and he did not use it. He screwed it through my front door. So he did not know what he was doing he brought someone who was in my closet for 45 minutes changing a light fixture. The guy is a fraud and he does not know what he is doing. I pay $99 for 3 hours and it two guys standing in my closet and it counts for two people. He ruined three of my cupboard doors and there were counter sinks that I bought and screws and he took them. The stench of tobacco was too much on these guys. My house was stick and I had to open my windows and the time was cold. I had to call him and most vendors would call me. He said he was the only ne coming and he came with some engaged to his cousin.

The repairs were going to cost $700 more than the deal, even with a special senior citizens discount … He was very thorough and capable, and explained everything clearly, but that’s just a little more money than I can put out right now.

They came out to measure our floor in December. They said they will get back to us with the materials we needed and to schedule the service. I emailed Angie's List when I didn't hear from them and they said the subcontractor that came out thought the work was done. They told me I would have to buy all the materials and he hadn't even seen the floor. We didn't have the work done.

He was responsive but just had scheduling problems, hadn?t made the appointment but I went with someone else.

Jared was very prompt and his work was excellent. Would highly recommend him.

Jared (Building Character) came to house twice to provide a proper estimate. Very thorough. He was attentive to my time frame and worked hard to overcome a couple challenges. Jared and his people were very professional and took pride in their work.

They did a great job. They were knowledgeable and efficient also. I wish they would have done this project sooner because it looks great.

I purchased an "Angie's Big Deal" for the installation of a tile floor from "Building Character". Jared Riddell, and his associate, Bob, did a beautiful job of installing that tile floor in a small bathroom. They were very personable to deal with. They showed up on time and behaved professionally. Jared answered my questions about the process patiently (even while he was spreading grout on the floor). I had purchased the recommended supplies for the job and when it turned out a specific type of screw was also needed for the underlying hardiboard, Jared willingly did a run to Home Depot to get the correct item. All-in-all, I think they were an excellent service provider. I would happily use them again if I had need of tile work.

Being an old faucet we ran into a little problem but easily fixed. Josh was very professional and knowledgeable.

It was okay. They’re pretty good. Two workers showed up to do the work and I had them put in a roofing vent.

When he left our home he gave my husband a proposal of the cost but no design or material list. I text him a few days later to inquire about the design as well as the list of materials. He stated there really wasn't a design since my husband knew what he wanted but he could do a sketch for us and then he text me a list of the materials to be used. Sketch is not what I call a design so I believe the ad is very misleading.

They did a good job for us. I would have appreciated a follow up call once they completed the work to ask if we were satisfied.

Great! Jared was on time, worked hard, did a good job, discussed issues with me as they arose. He was honest, fair, and a hard worker. I would definitely hire him again.

Jared called me promptly to arrange a day and time. He called that morning when he was on his way and arrived with Josh. They had all their tools and took out the old machine. Jared had to go to Home Depot to get a part that did not come in the installation kit I had purchased with the dishwasher. He got the part and he and Josh successfully installed the new dishwasher. It works great and I would gladly do business with them again.

I tried multiple times to contact and no response. Looks like this company takes customer lightly.

We came to an agreement on work to be done and price but now he's not returning my calls to schedule the service.

It looks like a new deck now. The people were very friendly and professional which I appreciated.

The two men from Building Character examined our bathroom and indicated to do the work would incur expenses above the $349 for moving and reinstalling the toilet and vanity. They also gave us a list of products to purchase that were needed in addition to the tile in order to do the job. At 60 and 67, my wife and I decided that the cost increases and the necessity that we purchase a list of tile installation items that contractors normally bring themselves did not meet our expectations for price or simplicity. Over all it went well. e could not agree on additional charges. I found a cheaper source and BC chose not to meet that quote. Sorry it did not work out but I maintain a high regard for BC. I would recommend them to others.

Jared showed up at my house on time and prepared to complete the work I hired him to complete. He was hired to build a 20x20 deck and an addition on my house. The addition was a sunroom/family room. He highly recommended I used maintenance free material for the deck and I agreed. He was a very nice man from the minute I met him when he came to complete my estimate and gave me a price better then any other I decided to use him. Jared was always at my house everyday ready to work. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He was responsive when I called and had questions or concerns and handled everything with ease. His quality of work is like none other that I have ever seen. He paid great attention to detail in making sure everything looked just right and as we designed it! Overall, he was fantastic to work with! Very pleasant, reliable and gave incredible service. I was so thankful to find such a quality contractor on Angies list!

They came out to do the estimate, however there were extra costs involved, so I will not be using this Big Deal.
