+ -1 moreI called 8:30 AM; was told someone could be there that afternoon. Repairman arrived 3:30 PM with required part and made quick repair. They did not try to sell me a new furnace or a maintenance contract. Cost was less than their estimate.

+ -1 moreThe woman in the office was very pleasant and polite. She said she would send her best technician because I had issues with a previous company. The technician told me he had been in the business approximately 30 years which gave me immediate confidence in him. He brought one other co-worker with him. He did a complete check of the furnace and said everything was working fine. He also checked to make sure that the filter was changed. He told me that he was taught to leave behind the old filter behind that allows the customer to see that it has been done. The technician advised me that he felt he was leaving trash behind so he took the old filter with him. He advised me that he would always have my type and size on his truck so I wouldn't have to worry about purchasing filters. He told me that my furnace is very reliable and would probably not break down but wasn't as fuel efficient as some of the newer model. I had also heard from previous technicians was confirmed my trust in him.
Description of Work: I called Braun Heating & Air Conditioning on the recommendation of a friend who owns multiple properties. I wanted them to check my furnace.

+ -1 moreBraun has been our heating and a/c company since we moved here 25 years ago. Our nine-year-old a/c gave out in the recent heat wave and Braun came to fix the problem. When it gave out again later in the week, the tech fixed the same problem and told us that we'd probably need to replace the unit. He explained why and showed us the relevant parts. We will probably put it off until next year but we'll go with Braun because their service is second to none, as is their response time. The owner answers the phone himself!

+ -1 moreWillie and an assistant came out when they said they would and checked everything out and changed the dampers for summer. In winter the kids' rooms need more heat and in summer they need less air conditioning because they are on the shady part of the house. They changed the filters, put in new freon, and cleaned the coils. They let me know when they were through. They were very professional during the visit.
Description of Work: In April Braun did my semi annual servicing of my heating and air conditioning units (we have 2 as of 2009) . We have problems in our house with regulating temperatures; that's why two systems are needed. They do an excellent job. Willie is the technician that has worked on our systems for 20 years. He not only cleans and makes sure everything is working properly, he also changes the dampers so each bedroom and each floor get the right amount of heat or air conditioning. If I call and say an adjustment needs to be made, Braun returns and adjusts the dampers. I had to use my whole house insurance to repair my air conditioning one summer. The company they sent out, removed the coils and left us in a summer heat wave without air conditioning (temperatures averaged 90 degrees) for two weeks. Finally, after getting nowhere with that company I called Braun. Willie came out and found the real problem in 15 min. and found a way to temporarily get us air conditioning. Braun would have done the fix, but Willie said it was a $900 job. I had whole house insurance and if I went through the whole house insurance, I only had to pay $50 service call. Finally the house insurance sent out another company. This company spent an hour just to find out that Willie was right. (Their tech wouldn't bellieve me when I told him the problem and how it had been found.) The A/C finally did get fixed. This experience is what finally made me move forward on having Craig Braun add heating and air conditioning units to the attic. Braun never would have left us without air conditioning. Our old house had radiant heat and gas heat and two air conditioning systems. We lived in that house for 11 years. In the beginning I tried different companies. None of the technicians could figure out the radiant heat system. Braun sent out Willie and he always knew what to do. Braun is a family owned company. Everyone is very nice. Missy answers the phone. If she doesn't know the answer, she'll find out and get back to you.
