Block Tite of Cincinnati

The job went great. The worker showed up on time and completed the job in timely fashion. The windows ore very nice and complement the bathrooms.

It started off slow and not too well. I left a voice mail and filled out their internet request for quote and never heard back. After waiting a week I tried calling again and luckily reached a human being. Once that part was done everything else went just fine. I wanted to get USA manufactured and installed windows. I also wanted them mortared and not siliconed. So that really left me with Block Tite. The estimator was on time and walked my wife through window finish types and eventually brought up a new version with white paint on outside edges to reflect more light. She chose this. A couple days for them to build the window and show up to house (pre-scheduled when estimator was at house to measure and quote). I don?t think it took him 30 minutes to do the whole thing which made me uneasy about the window that was there before. He barely made any noise pulling out the old wooden framed single paned window and it only took about a minute for him to rip it out. Made me regret putting this task off as long as I did. After he had placed the new window and centered it up he asked me some questions on how I would like it finished on the inside. I decided and he finished it off. I am very pleased with the window (centered and square) and how it was put in. I dinged them a bit on responsiveness as they should have replied back even with a ?we are super busy? message and I thought it was a snick high on the price, but not outrageous. I would easily have them do windows in my home again and I feel WAY more secure knowing what he removed and what he installed.

Installer was on time, removed old windows, installed new windows and cleaned up all debris inside and out. They were very careful.

It went well tech called to say he was running about half hour behind. They arrived did there job cleaned up and was gone good job!

Very well. They explained what needed to be done and did it. The windows are wonderful and provide plenty of light, yet are very secure and tight to prevent energy leaks. :)

It was a great and easy experience. Immediate call to schedule estimate. Arrived on time for the estimate. Scheduled install. Installers on time and worked liked a well oiled machine. Father and son team put in 5 windows perfectly in approx 45 min to 1 hour. I met them at my house on my lunch break and they were done before I finished eating. Simply awesome!

The team was great! They were ontime, courteous, got down to business, cleaned up after themselves. I had always wanted to install glass block windows for safety reasons, but when I mentioned it to others, they dismissed my concern because I live in a "safe, rural area." The one installer had the five smaller windows pushed completely out with a cleared opening in less than 5 minutes! And he did it relatively quietly. Someone could have easily gotten through those windows without being detected. I am so glad I had the glass block windows from Block Tite installed. This gives me so much peace of mind now. Really, I should have had the glass block windows installed sooner because I was right in thinking they were a security issue.

Well beyond expectations. First Class Sales and Installation.

The installer did not clean up the demo mess that was created by removing the old windows. In addition there was damage to the stones around the window that should have been regrouted. I had to take on the task of fixing it. There was also dirt and debris left on the floor around the windows. Also out by the street the installer spilled grout all over the lawn and street. Since the street is brick it stood out and was big mess to clean up. It also killed the grass. One of the windows were not measured propertly and the installer has to return the next day to finish the job. He left the old window and framing for me to clean up. To say the least I was disappointed about the job especially since they were rated high on Angies list. Go's to show you you can not always trust sites like this. The concrete work on the outside was all over the brick and window frame. They should have used a wire brush to clean it up when they were installed. Now I have to clean it up. Thanks Block Tite. Had to update most categories since the cost was way to much of my time. In the comments the contractor said he would call me. I never received a call. I guess that shows how much they care about customer satisfaction.

Job was to start at 10:30 in am but due to double booking didn't start until later in afternoon, about 2pm. Zack called and made me aware of the problem and kept me informed as to when he would arrive. Although it extended into the next day the job was completed and done very well. Due to dropped ceiling and and two half windows to be done the job was more difficult than most but was completed to my satisfaction. I would definitely use Block Tite again and recommend to others.

2 workmen arrived on time and completed the job very fast. We only had 3 windows to replace, but it seemed like they were moving with some speed. They cleaned up and you couldn't tell they were there. It was exactly what I wanted. The windows look really good and now I don't have to worry about anyone popping out the basement window to break in.

Called Monday, estimate on Tuesday, installed on Thursday. The crew that came out was professional in every sense of the word. They got to work quickly and continued until complete. They took care not to do any extra damage to the window frames and cleaned up at the end. They did a crisp, neat and quality job. They have obviously installed many glass block windows. The crew was very nice and courteous throughout the process. My neighbors have already made positive comments about the improvement. Anytime I have a glass block project, these guys will be my first call.

Very professional and communicative. I had to stay within insurance reimbursement amounts, and went with another provider. I would not hesitate to use this company though.

I called for an estimate and they were out the very next day and gave me an exact cost. They called the next day to see if they could sell their proposal. I told them I wsn't ready yet because of some work I had to complete first. They never bothered me again with the typical sales harassment that is typical these days. Weeks later I called them to schedule the work for a certain day. They said they would be there at 10:30 and they were there. The installers began working as soon as they stepped out of their truck and the job was complete in 1-1/2 hours. Excellent job

My husband and I have quite a bit of house repair and remodeling to have done within the next 3 years, so I joined membership on Angie's List for 3 years. Upon seeing Angie's top rated glass block company had a discount on glass block windows, I immediately got started. I called the company on Wednesday morning for an estimate. Representative was there that afternoon. Appointment was scheduled for installation at 10 a.m. on the next day. It took only 3 hours for the windows to be installed. The windows are beautiful and professionally installed. Any and all trim and left over material removed from the old windows were removed. We are very pleased with the results and their service: professional, courteous, fast and very through! I would recommend them to anyone. The money we will save on our utility bill will pay for our membership in no time flat. I say that is a price well paid. Thanks Angie!!

We met Block Tite at the Cinti. Home and Garden Show and liked their product. Needing basement windows, we chose the glass blocks and asked for an estimate, in which they were prompt and professional. Installation was smooth and they did beautiful work. I am extremely particular and I could not have asked for any better service or job. There product is high quality. I would highly recommend and use them again for work I would need done.

I have used them twice. I used them to install windows in my basement and had them come back to install a garage window. They came and did the estimate and they did a good job on the installation and clean up.

Had two companies come to my house and quote me for two basement windows (32" x 18"). Block Tite was $10 more; however, they had far less BBB complaints and better Angie's List reviews. Chose Block Tite base on this. Contractors showed up on Saturday -- the agreed upon day of installation -- with mortar pre-maid and ready to go. One guy was removing old windows while the other was carrying the new windows from the truck. I didn't take them but 30 minutes on site to remove the old windows and have the new windows mortared in place. They did a nice finishing job, using stain brushes to smooth the mortar out and work the "creme" up to the surface. Obviously they've been doing this awhile because there was very little "over" mortaring and it was feathered nicely into the surrounding basement wall. The sound deadening is great, privacy is just what we wanted, and the light transmission is more than we expected (a positive thing).

Came out to give me an estimate. Reasonably priced. Quality work. Professional. Hauled away the debris. Completed the job in the amount of time they said. I did not pay more than the estimate. I would highly recommend these guys.

Overall, the project went well. I submitted an estimate request on the evening of 2/7/2013 and their sales rep called the morning of 2/8 and scheduled to come out 2/9 to provide the estimate. The sales rep was punctual, professional, and explained the product in detail. He said he could have me scheduled for install within the next 24 hours which was fantastic. I ended up scheduling on 2/11 for the install due to the weekend. The installer arrived within his half hour window (not your typical 3-4 hour window) and completed the job in the 4 hours they said it would. The quality of the work is excellent and the windows look fantastic. My only complaint was the installer. He had a professional attitude and did an excellent job, but his appearance did strike me. He showed up to work in torn up jeans and a sweat shirt. Working with a company which to this point seemed to be reputable, I kind of expected him to be in some sort of uniform, at least a sweatshirt or jacket that said block-tite on it. If he didn't have my the estimate, I probably would not have let him in my house.

They were awesome. They completed 5 windows in 1 day. My electric bill has already seen a huge improvement.

I got the medium grade blocks - not the cheapest, not the most expensive. They are very professional - I feel very confident with them. I feel they are very experienced. He showed me the different grades. He showed me what bad blocks look like, and what good ones look like. I will definitely be hiring them for this job.
