+ 1 moreThe new shingles look great. Brad Epcke was easy to work with, had an excellent crew, and we were very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: BG Contractors replaced a section of cedar shingles on the back of our home. They also removed a window, which was in very poor condition, framed in the opening, and shingled over the area. Additionally, they did some work on our gutters and moved a downspout to a new location.

+ -1 moreI HAVE HAD ENDLESS PROBLEMS WITH THE WORK. THERE WERE AREAS LEFT UNPAINTED, THEY PAINTED THE GUTTERS AND WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO, THEY GOT PAINT ON THE WINDOWS AND ON BRICK, ALSO GOT PAINT BLOTS ON A BRAND NEW ROOF. EACH TIME THEY COME BACK TO FIX THINGS, THEY MESS UP EVEN MORE. THERE IS PAINT ON THE FRONT PORCH AND ON THE CHAIN OF THE SWING. ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN POINTED OUT TO THE OWNER REPEATEDLY, BUT THE PROBLEMS HAVE NOT BEEN RESOLVED. THERE ARE STILL SEVERAL AREAS IN NEED OF CORRECTING. THE OWNER IS A VERY NICE PERSON AND VERY EAGER TO PLEASE, BUT MORE PROBLEMS KEEP COMING UP AS I HAVE THEM OUT TO CORRECT ISSUES. A COURT CASE IS PENDING AND THIS COMPANY REFUSES TO RESPOND TO MY LAWYER UNTIL AFTER THE DUE DATES

+ -1 moreBRAD WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WAS FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO COME AND LOOK AT THE HOUSE ON THE WEEKEND. WE WERE NERVOUS ABOUT HAVING EXTERIOR WORK DONE, BECAUSE WE HAD RECENTLY HAD SOME SIGNIFICANT LANDSCAPING PLANTED. I SHARED MY CONCERNS, AND BRAD ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL WHERE THEY PLACED THE LADDERS, AND WOULD LAY LIGHT TARPS DOWN TO CATCH ANY DRIPS OR PAINT CHIPS. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS AND CLEAN UP. THEY WERE ABLE TO MATCH OUR EXISTING PAINT VERY WELL, AND USED THEIR JUDGMENT TO PAINT SOME SPOTS THAT WE HAD NOT DISCUSSED WHEN THEY SAW THAT IT WAS NEEDED OR WOULD LOOK BETTER. THE START DATE WAS A LITTLE LATER THAN HE ORIGINALLY PROMISED, BUT SINCE I DID NOT HAVE TO BE HOME TO OVERSEE THE WORK, IT WORKED OUT FINE. I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO OUR NEW LANDSCAPING.
Description of Work: BG HELPED US PREPARE OUR HOUSE FOR THE MARKET BY PAINTING AND TOUCH-UP PAINTING AREAS OF WOOD, STUCCO, METAL GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS. THEY EVEN SOURCED A CARPENTER TO REPLACE SOME ROTTEN WOOD TRIM.
