Description of Work: Mike comes to our house to give us piano lessons every week. One of us is a complete beginner and the other more advanced. Mike is able to teach each of us at our level. It's great that he can come in the evening after our workday. The price is right too. Great value for the money - $26 for each of us for a half hour in our own home. We can highly recommend Mike for children or adults.

Description of Work: Mike provided a 30 minute piano lesson in my home. He was prompt for the lesson. He was knowledgeable about the instrument, music theory, and different techniques I could use. He was very patient with me and at the same time he continued to challenge me in a way that made it easy for me to stick with it and improve my overall music reading and piano playing skills.

 + -1 moreI am an adult who never played piano before. Mike shows up on time and is well prepared for my lesson. He is very patient with me but does a good job of keeping me on track so I learn the material and continue to get better. He is very knowledgeable of both music theory and practical application, and understands effective learning techniques. He has worked with me on learning several different types of songs, including easy beginner song classics, pop music, and classical music. I would recommend Mike to others, both adults and children, who are interested in learning to play the piano. I understand that he also teaches guitar and voice lessons (plus some other instruments) and tunes pianos as well, however, I have not had to use him for any of those services yet.
