B & D PLUMBING

Our family has used B&D twice now and have had a perfect, smooth experience. The first visit was for our water heater, and the second was for a leaking faucet. He is professional, nice, friendly, and pretty much knows how to fix everything we've needed fixing! Thanks Tom

I wanted a tall commode, and the B&D came with one that did not fit properly. He immediately returned the first toilet and came back with one that did fit and was professionally installed. I will use this service again!

Tom promptly returned my call and was able to give me an accurate quote over the phone for the work. He showed up on time and re-sealed and re-seated the toilet in less than 30 mins. He also took the time to show me where he believes the leak was and what may have caused it. He was very professional, efficient, and clean. We'll definitely be calling him again with any future plumbing problems!

Everything went perfect. Tom showed up on time, did the work we discussed, and cleaned up when he was done. No big sales pitch to replace my 10 yr old gas hot water heater, either. He also gave me tips on how to maximize the life of my hot water heater and garbage disposal. The final bill was exactly what he estimated on the phone. We will definitely use him again for any major or minor projects, in the future.

Tom was on time, courteous and professional. He set to work immediately analyzing the problem which turned out to be a bent shutoff stem. He offered me the option of changing out the stem which he would have to procure, or replacing the entire faucet assembly with one he had on his truck. I opted for the replacement faucet which he changed in about 20 minutes even though it entailed several trips between the basement, where the faucet connected to the water supply, and the outside location of the faucet itself. Tom worked in a clean, quick manner and left no mess behind.

B & D Plumbing's prices were reasonable. They were excellent.

After speaking with several other plumbing companies, I called B&D and spoke with Tom. We setup a time for an estimate and Tom showed up as expected. He took a look at our exterior hose bibs and was able to diagnose and fix the problems on the spot. Other companies wanted to replace the entire hose bibs at a cost of several hundred dollars. I showed him the other problem areas and he gave me multiple options. He also gave me options on finishing our basement bathroom. We scheduled a repair time the next day. I had to reschedule, and Tom was able to fit me in the following day. Tom arrived as expected and got right to work. He showed me what he was doing and how I could maintain things in the future to avoid problems. He finished up, left zero mess and gave me a bill that was less than I estimated. I was very happy with the service and will definitely use B&D again when we finish our basement bathroom.

Tom was a little late, but called me ahead of time to let me know he was running late. Perfectly acceptable, since I was off that day anyway. I showed him the items I needed repaired. My parents purchased a new toilet for my birthday. Tom recommended I keep the old toilet and just have a few parts replaced because it was a better design overall and would flush better. He gave me the options and let me weigh the differences. I decided to have the new one installed rather than fix the old one. He overhauled and replaced the parts on the kitchen sink. No more drip! Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Tom. He was very personable and friendly. He made recommendations along the way. He answered every question that I had in a very friendly manner. After he was finished and paid, he even took the time to show me how to replace my sink sprayer by taking it apart and explaining how to install a new one. I would recommend Tom to anyone that needs plumbing repairs done!!

Tom is outstanding. He arrives on time, does excellent quality work, does only the work that needs to be done, cleans up, and gives great, honest advice. He came out once, noted that the crew that installed our sink under the new granite counters had used the wrong adhesive, and suggested that we not reinstall the plumbing until the counter top installation was done correctly. He even stopped at a granite counter installer to confirm his recommendations on the granite counters. That saved us countless headaches later on, and he didn't even charge for the trip that day. Wow! A++

Tom is a handy, smart and nice guy. I had a plumbing emergency in the kitchen one day and he was very prompt and helpful. After that I thought, I wonder if he could remodel the bathroom upstairs that was in desperate need due to age and deteroriation? Tom gave us a reasonable estimate and helped us to plan out the space to maximize our utilization of the space we had. We were wasting it big time with the former design. We are very pleased with the result and I am sure we will ask Tom back for plumbing needs and are glad to know him.

Tom was excellent. When he arrived, I showed him the problems. We spent over an hour discussing the options. Once we determind the course of action, he installed the new threshold with an emphasis on staybility on friday. He returned on saturday to install the ADA toilet, again with an emphasis on staybility. We were very satisfied with the istallation and his workmaanship. I even picked up a couple of pointers!

Was very helpful with advice on how to fix bathroom for disabled Mother. Went out of his way to caulk area around the work area. Helped pick out vanity which would fit properly. He is a one man shop and was extremly busy with all the rain in the area. Would use again and would recommend him highly. Mother is very pleased with her the work done. Cleaned up and hauled away the trash.

Tom's work was fabulous and the price and workmanship were great! He was great to work with and when I went to buy a new faucet (badly needed) he offered opinions of what he thought was best which was greatly appreciated. This is a very busy time of year and we really appreciated how responsive he was. Also, we have had a bad experience with a different plumber before and are so relieved to find someone great who is also reasonable and responds quickly. We are very pleased.

I called B & D to make an appointment to fix a water heater that was not producing any hot water. It was Sunday afternoon, late, and I figured that if B & D was open, I'd try to schedule a repair as soon as possible. I assumed that even if they were open, I wouldn't be able to have anyone look at the heater for several days. Not only were they open on Sunday, but they came out to my house within an hour and made the repair on the first try. I told them it was not an emergency and that I could wait until a weekday, but they came out anyway. I've used B & D once before, and had nothing but good things to say about them. This holds true for this visit, as well. I can't even conjure up anything to complain about. If there were more companies like B & D, there'd be no need for Angie's List.

I can't imagine a better repair experience. The plumber (Tom Wurdeman) was very personable, as well as helpful. He explained everything he was doing or had done. When I called, I warned him that I had some decking that needed to be removed to get at the pipe and that I was having trouble getting it out of the way. I was concerned that he might not have enough equipment to get at the pipe. He informed me he could take my house apart if I wanted. That was reassuring. As it was, he worked out a way that required very little cutting of the deck. He also gave me some solicited advice on replacing some shower door hangers without making me feel like a complete idiot. He went about his work quickly and finished promptly. The bill was about half of what I was bracing to pay. The staff at the office were also very friendly and professional. I heartily recommend this company for plumbing work.
