ARHAUS FURNITURE

We special ordered a couch from Arhaus toward the end of January. Everything went well with the ordering and we did get the sale price on the couch. We waited very patiently for about six weeks. We received a call that the couch was in the warehouse in early March. We were told via a voice message that the couch would probably be to our house the following week . When we called to schedule a time for the couch to be delivered, we were told that we would have to wait two more weeks for the couch delivery. When we tried to set up a date, Arhaus could not come up with a time that was compatible to our schedule until mid April (we were asking for a Monday or Wednesday delivery). We had to speak with the manager, who said that a time would be worked out. The couch was delivered on March 23rd. The couch came with a mar in the material. Once again we had to talk to a manager and set up an appointment with their technician. He finally came in early April and fixed the material flaw. Finally after three months we have the couch we ordered. This dealing with Arhaus was quite a surprise since we believed that we were dealing with a top of the line furniture place.

The ordering experience went fine, and the sales representative from Arhaus was great. The delivery experience left a lot to be desired, and I would actually recommend not letting Arhaus delivery agents into your house. Arhaus contracts out their delivery, which hires temps to perform the actual delivery. So, you're dealing with someone 3-degrees of separation from the company. On my delivery experience, they parked the truck in the middle of the street. I came out to tell the delivery person that they can't block the street, and provided two alternative parking suggestions. They rolled their eyes at me, and threw the truck into park in the middle of the street. They then carried the couch up to my 3rd floor stairwell hallway, which admittedly is narrow and tight. They dropped the couch in the stairwell damaging it to the point where I am now waiting for a replacement piece. I asked them to redeliver the intact half of the sectional and the damaged portion, so I would have something to sit on in my home theater while we wait for the replacement piece. This time, I had them simply deliver it to the 2nd floor. I agreed to handle the carrying up from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor on my own with some buddies from work. The stairwell from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor is 72" wide, 36" on each side. They kicked out one of my stairwell spindles, and there are minor scratches on the microfiber couch. Not enough that I'm going to request a new piece, but significant enough to be below my expectations, and significant enough that on the delivery of the replacement for the damaged piece, I'm just going to stop them at the curb and handle everything inside my house myself.

The salesperson was very helpful in picking out fabrics for my sofa; good design eye and took time to help me. The first delivery man who brought my table was terrible, he used wrong screws in table and and put it in off-center. As a result, the screws fell out and table could have tipped on my young child. They sent someone out right away to fix the problem when I discovered it. The repairman was very good and did a great job of fixing it. The second set of delivery men who brought my sofa were very very careful and professional.

AGGREVATED THEY DIDNT DELIVER BOTH PIECES OF FURNITURE AT THE SAME TIME; SCHEDULED TWO SEPARATE DELIVERIES.
