When I write a review or provide a referral I think it's a reflection of my reputation as well so I don't do it lightly, but with Jeff it's easy for me to write this review because he is professional, friendly, prompt, and provides high quality service. I recommend his services and if/or when I am in need of help I'll give him a call!

Received a quote but the manner in which it was presented lead us to believe that we were being mislead. Received three other quotes and no no other provider suggested that we may need two systems to mitigate, as we only tested at 4.5. Service done by other provider, tested at 0.7 after work completed.

ARCHWAY HOME INSPECTIONS LLC came out one time, did the job very well. They did a great job.

This is the third time that we have used Jeff for a service. He had inspected two houses for us previously (once in Cinci and once in NKY). Unfortunately, he no longer inspects houses in NKY. We would have chosen him in a heartbeat if he did when we bought this house. He is by far the best inspector we have ever used. There is never any question that he was working on our behalf, opposed to working for the realtors who want the deal done. As a matter of fact, our realtor holds him in great disdain, which I think is the highest compliment he could ever have. So having worked with him in the past, when we decided the first thing to do when we moved into this house was to put in a radon mitigation system, we called Jeff. We were not disappointed. He was able to install the system and do the required follow-up in a timely manner. He went above and beyond by making sure that our sump pump was set up to work more efficiently for the house before sealing them. He helped place the system so that it is located out of the way, yet in a high traffic area so we can always see what the gauge reads. He vented it so that it looks like another plumbing vent; it vents far away from us and looks like an ordinary part of the house. He arranged for the electrician to come in and do his part. He got all paperwork to us in a timely manner. Through the whole process, he talked to us about our options, what to expect, and what to do if something seemed off. I highly recommend Jeff as a home inspector and as a radon-mitigation specialist. He is professional, ethical, easy to talk to, easy to work with and dependable. I only have good things to say about him, and not a single misgiving.

Jeff was fantastic to work with! He inspected two different homes for us, and gave us the information we needed to keep from making a very costly mistake the first time around. He is punctual, professional, and thoroughly explained his work in detail. For our first home inspections, he send a 73 page report complete with color pictures. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection or radon testing.

Jeff responded to my phone call and arrived in about one hour. He was very careful to remove his shoes before entering the home. I gave him a copy of the radon test and he surveyed the basement. He decided to put the system in a utility closet for easy access and unobtrusiveness. He came back in a few days to install the system. He carefully covered the floors and cleaned up completely. He tested the flow in an unfinished part of the basement and caulked the concrete floor joints. A licensed electrician, provided by Jeff, made the power connection. The subsequent testing reveled a decrease in average radon form 4.3 to 0.3.

Jeff Tikkanen is a licensed Radon Mitigation Specialist and Archway Home Inspections, LLC is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Radon Mitigation Contractor (License Number C 000063-0). We found that there are a limited number of people licensed for this work. Jeff made one visit to look at the basement and made recommendations for how to eliminate the radon. He did a good job of explaining options and explaining how the system would work. He completed the work in a timely manner and followed up promptly with test results and a report.
