Services we offer
Basement Waterproofing with Interior & Exterior Solutions. Structural repair for bowing and sinking foundations via Helical Piers and Steel Beams. Underground Downspout Lines. Window Well Drains. Yard Lines for standing water in your yard, also known as French Drains.
Services we don't offer
Mold restoration. New construction waterproofing. Downspout line cleaning/de-clogging.
The crew showed up on time and completed the job in one day as they had promised. The old window wells were removed, replaced by new window wells with a drain topped by gravel to prevent clogging. The window wells and down spouts were tied into a drain provided by a PVC pipe. I believe the term is a French drain system. The window and downspout drainage was routed to a single drain in the front of the house. The trenches were filled in and grass was planted with straw on top. The job site was cleaned up and looked good. They even changed the grade on the side of the house to prevent water from ponding. The new drains and downspouts worked perfectly. The new grass came up and looks good and the window wells are draining perfectly.
Description of Work: Replaced basement window wells that were allowing water to leak into the basement.

They did it in one day instead of two. They communicated well. They also took bushes out and replaced them for me.
Description of Work: He did drainage from the front, to the side of house, to the back of the lot.. They also cleaned a drain on the other side of the building. He again directed the water to the back of the lot.

They were very good. They were all professional and the quality was really good. They did everything in a timely manner. Their price was right in the middle. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Aquaproof Inc for basement waterproofing.
They were very polite and respectful of my house. They had hoped to finish in 1 day, however, this turned out to be an impossibility because they had found out that the slab was monolithic after hammering for about 15 minutes.. Job time turned into 1 month because the city inspector drove by the house and said they would have to fortify the footer due to building codes. The city also inspected all along the way which caused things to take longer. The company stood by their original contract and completed the job which now included fortifying the footer which was previously 1 slab. The end product has resulted in not a drop of water in my basement for about a year now. This is the part of the experience that is the most important thing, that they will install a system that protects the basement from water. I was glad that they were able to give me the product I had purchased for the agreed price regardless of all the obstacles in between. This showed that they are a strong company and will provide the product that was promised for the price that was promised. They also agreed to bury a drainage pipe under the floor to make way for a new doorway. When I turned on the Air Conditioning the pipe backed up. They came out and diagnosed the issue and were able to resolve on the same day that the water had backed up.
Description of Work: I contracted Aquaproof to install an interior waterproofing system in my basement and also to fix all the existing downspouts around the house. They also buried a drainage pipe.

Having roots completely fill one of the intake ports and coming into the pit a good foot, shows how thirsty some plants can be. The folks before us arranged for several arbvravita and honeysuckle plants alongside the house. It may look nice for years, but it sure doesn't get it done.
Description of Work: Our situation was most unusual, one of the ports into our sump pump pit was entirely filled with roots from outside shrubs. Aquaproof excavated and replaced drainage pipe along the side of the house. Additionally, they built a lower sump pump pit to improve efficiency of drainage. Their crew were not only professional and courteous, but they literally busted their chops to complete their work.

The heavy rains that fell what seemed continuously during this past fall season resulted in water seepage through our foundation and into the finished basement. Thankfully, we avoided serious damage. Still, it was enough to persuade us to search out preventative measures. Additionally, we knew that our sump pump was old, given that it predated our ownership of the house. We knew that because of this we were at risk for additional water damage. So, we needed to take action on these two items. We brought in several basement waterproofing services for quotes. One company could replace the sump pump but offered nothing with respect to the water coming in through the foundation. Another proposed digging a trench around the inside perimeter of our basement, which would have of course required tearing out the flooring and a portion of the drywall throughout. And doing this would have cost an exorbitant sum. Completely unacceptable. Aqua Proof presented by far the most practical and cost effective recommendations. Danny himself came to meet with us, and on a Saturday. After inspecting the basement and the outside of our property, he walked us through his recommendations and his rationale. He did not "talk down" to us, but provided detailed information to support his recommendation that we install underground drain pipes connected to our downspouts so as to carry rain water away from the structure's immediate vicinity. Danny also recommended that we replace our sump pump and install a battery backup. Given that Danny's quote for both the pump replacement and the drainage installation was lower that most of the other quotes we had received (again, which came with unattractive options), we selected Aqua Proof. Danny asked if we could wait until January for work to begin as he was already heavily scheduled with projects. The rains were continuing to fall most every day, and so we were worried (this being early November), but we agreed. Several weeks later, our sump pump just "died" ---- no drainage at all. And the water began to rise in the well. I called Aqua Proof. That day, Danny sent over one of his team to replace the sump pump and install the battery backup. I don't recall the man's name, but he was just terrific --- worked carefully but quickly, answered questions, and installed the new equipment before water spilled into our basement. Crisis averted. In January on schedule, Aqua Proof called to set up the day for the outside drainage installation. On that day, Danny and his crew arrived early. Danny surveyed the basement and the property again, checked his notes from his prior visit and then walked me and the crew step by step through what would be done that day. The crew worked through the day, in extreme cold, wet and windy conditions. The dug the required trenches, taking very good care not to damage our tree and bushes. They were good men, polite and open to being observed and fielding questions, with good senses of humor and good spirit even in the cold. Everything was done just as Danny had described. The crew worked until early evening, but finished the job in one day. When they left, the drainage pipes were underground and installed to the downspouts, the trenches filled and the ground re-seeded and layered over with hay. From this point, water washing off the roof and into the gutters will flow away from our house and no longer seep into the ground to potentially finds its way into our basement. We are very pleased with the support Aqua Proof provided. My wife and I hope never to need waterproofing-type services again, but if we do then certainly we will think of Danny and his great Aqua Proof team.
Description of Work: Installed new sump pump and battery back up. Installed underground drainage pipe system to carry away water from the house's four downspouts.

They did have to come back out a few times. It was annoying to have them come back out three times. We got three estimates, and they were lower than the others. The quality of work was very good. They showed up on time and they were very nice.
Description of Work: They put in a drainage system and they dug 3 feet out and down below the foundation of the house. They sealed the entire wall with an insulation and tar. They sent out 12 men and had it done in 2 days. They dug all around the house. They had to put my deck back together. They also waterproofed my basement. They had to re-seed the grass, and the owner didn't like the way it was done, so he had someone come out and fix it.

Unfortunately, one of the other companies beat them significantly in price.
Description of Work: The chimney foundation was sinking and caused two cracks in the house foundation. The chimney was pulling away from the house. Aquaproof came out and evaluated my foundation while I was out. He told me I needed 6 helical piers installed, while a previous contractor had told me I needed 4. Aquaproof explained why I needed 6 and I could see exactly why after his explanation. The gave me an estimate price and also told me of other reputable companies that could do the work. The owner was extremely helpful and extremely honest in speaking with me.

Crew did exactly what the owner said they would ----we have had several episodes of very heavy rains and the wettest fall on record and have not had any problems since the installation. We did lose more landscaping than I initially expected due to the equipment required for digging, but staff re-seeded areas where grass had been and attempted to save one of our specimen trees at the front of the house.

Gil Brummett estimated the job and prepared the contract. He was very knowledgeable and explained the work. Due to heavy rainfall the expected date and actual date of work was delayed. I worked with office personnel to find a mutually suitable new date. Crew arrived, chief introduced himself and expalined the work that would be done. The work was done in one day. This included cutting and replacing a sidewalk, digging ditches by hand and with a "bobcat"??, laying pipes, covering them and reseeding the lawn, placing straw over the areas, and washing the mud from the equipment out of my driveway. When there were decisions to make I was consulted. I was very positively impressed with the quality of the people and the work. I would definitely use them again.

I found Aquaproof on Angie's List, called and set up an appt for an evaluation. James arrived ahead of schedule and waited patiently while I completed other work. He spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out where the water entered the basement. He also consulted with the owner, Danny, since it wasn't obvious (no cracks, first time it happened, etc) They were confident it wasn't a foundation problem (yeah!) rather a sump that shorted out, causing the water to back up under the foundation and eventually seep in between the wall and floor. Thanks to Danny, I was able to explain this to insurance adjuster who would have otherwise declined my claim since the water didn't come out of the sump pump. I appreciate their honesty, education and offer to talk to the insurance adjuster if there were any questions. James and Danny knew their stuff. In addition James was very considerate to not track mud through my house after surveying my foundation.. They also offered to replace the sump pump, which was done a couple of days later, with no issue. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

It was a long day for them, but they all knew their part, knew what they were doing, and did everything they could to minimize the mess. I covered everything in plastic, and they covered everything again in plastic and taped up every vent. If they needed to use the facilities, they took off their shoes. We were minimally inconvenienced, and now the basement is dry. I was running a dehumidifier 24/7 and had been for the last 5 years. I haven't even had it plugged in since they left, and they even ran a hose for several hours during the process, so the basement wasn't "dry" when they left. This has removed the possibility of future damage to my foundation, made my basement dry, and made it so I can now use the space as I use the space above the ground without any concern about water in the future for many years to come. UPDATE: I was handed over to Gil Brummett after getting into a shouting match with Danny Manley, and Mr. Brummett offered to tear out and re-install the concrete. With his assurance the issue was cosmetic, and the job was done well, I asked if they could please extend the outflow more than 6 feet from the house. Mr. Manley and his son-in-law had explained the reason they'd left the outflow that short is because they'd run out of PVC pipe! I was supposed to have accepted that the drainage sent outdoors from my sump pump was again going to flow right against my foundation!! The very thing I had spent over $6K to get resolved!!! They came out, ran the pipe approximately 12' out from the foundation, and covered it very poorly, so most of the pipe is now exposed. I'll landscape around it and never recommend them for another job as long as I live.
Description of Work: Gil came out, saw the problems I was having and agreed with me that the best work to do would be to jack-hammer out the basement floor around three sides of my foundation, install drain tiles, gravel, and cover with concrete and install a sump. They didn't know at that time when they'd be scheduling my work since their crew was at the mercy of the weather and one time they did call asking if I was ready for them a few weeks earlier, but I wasn't ready yet so they found other work to do indoors elsewhere. When they called on the 28th, I assured them I'd be ready, and ready involves moving everything away from the walls and covering what's still in the basement with plastic. They arrived on time, set right to work. These guys work their butts off. With the large, experienced crew, the work was done in one day. The cleanup will last for a while, but that's to be expected with concrete work inside the home. They took all precautions to attempt to minimize the mess, and when I figure out how to clean up the "film" on the floor, I'll post my findings for everyone's benefit! The concrete in place is very well done, the sump is set and working fine and a battery backup is included. UPDATE: The concrete work done to finish the floors and return them to usable condition was not well done at all. Within a few days cracks appeared in relation to the line between each bag of concrete used (approximately ever 2 feet). The concrete they poured (poorly) was only about 1 inch thick and should have been thicker from what I've been told. They should have "floated" the work twice after it was completed, and supposedly the cracks would not have appeared. I contacted the company and spoke to the owner, Danny Manley. THAT WAS A MISTAKE! He is the absolute worst business manager I have ever dealt with. He basically said I was out of luck, that the cracks wouldn't hurt anything, and that he already had my money!!! He cut me off during the entire conversation, basically calling me a liar, wouldn't let me explain any of the details, and was the most rude person I've ever talked to. It's a wonder how this company is still in business with him ever answering a phone call.

Danny Manley is the owner of this company. He had one review in Angies List and that was helpful because we would not have used him otherwise. They sent out a person to talk to us and we were not impressed. But when we went on Angies List and looked it up somebody had said to be sure that one talks to Danny who is the owner before one contract with them. So we actually called them back and specifically asked to speak to Danny. Ironically by the time that happened that other guy had quit. Then Danny told us that that guy really did not know how to sell. He apparently was a good worker but not good with sales. By going to Danny it saved us like $4000. The other guy would just quote big amounts like they would do it for $12000. There was nothing in between with them. But Danny would come out look at the problem and then fix it. He also put in sump for me too. He was great though I do not know the language these guy talks. I paid a $1000 for the sump pump. We had so much of rains here lately and it was the first big test of his drainage system and the basement was dry as a bone. When Danny came around he could speak to me, he could translate and that is the art of the profession. You must be able to talk the tech talk to someone who does not speak it. Danny did a great job of that. The sump pump has a battery backup and that battery is great where you can actually see if it is fully charged or not. For people who do to know anything about all this stuff he could have got away and made his job easier at the same time got paid the same by just doing the minimum. But he did not. He came and offered ideas making more work for him. Even while he was digging the ditch I went out there and requested if he could put a French drain in, since we get puddles in here and he very willingly did it. He was very flexible and his workers were like articulate and conversational. I am always fascinated when people do stuff like that. I actually hung out because I am home with all my disability I actually go out and stand and watch them dig ditches though they would not allow me to drive the bobcat, it is fun. I will use them again in the future.

We purchased a 1960s split level with a block foundation. We had high humidity (measured at baseboard to 3' up wall ~30% humidity in wall) on a front facing basement wall which raised the room RH. The right way to fix this is to remove the water from the outside of the house, exterior seal/membrane the wall, and repair drain tile and gravel surround. Aquaproof was willing to work with me on a reasonable price. They arrived (in mass) promptly as promised. The working crew was efficient, orderly and very polite. The team lead was very skilled with the backhoe- we had eve overhangs, odd angles and pipes to work around. All were no problem. The job was finished, ground regraded, 25'+ gravity feed drain installed, and strawed in aound 7.5 hours. The proof of the final result will take a while to determine but for the work, the crew and providing a top end return on our agreement, Aquaproof executed very well. 12/08/2015 Over four years in with this repair and the results are outstanding. Our drainage problems and wall humidity problems are completely solved. In spite of poor drainage at times of heavy rain in our general front yard area, the work has alleviated multiple drainage problems and allowed us to have a water free life in our home.

Recently purchased house, I had a known problem with water that turned out much worse than disclosed, go figure. I got three on-site estimates, first two were before I signed up on Angie's List, one after. Aqua Proof came out and assessed the water problem and they saw some things the others did not. They recognized an area at the back of the house that needed special attention, a faint water line on the foundation told them that water was standing in that area and they recommended that we back fill around the foundation to kick the water away from the house. Others didn't mention that. They mentioned and recommended changes to the roof water system and explained the importance of properly working gutters and down-spouts. When they install a French Drain they cover it with clean top-soil and haul away the clay-dirt, others didn't mention this. Also, although not part of the work they were doing, they pointed out other factors like the drive way slopping to the garage, the same with the patio. They said they would get all of this done in one day. I laughed. He assured me that's what they would do. A few days after the contracts were signed, I got a call to schedule the work date. A week or so before the date, flags and funny painted lines appeared in my yard. A few days before the date, a reminder call and agreed upon time. They arrived on time, 7:30AM, an army of (about 10) workers and equipment started doing various things to prep for the work. The crew boss came to the door and introduced himself and walked me through their plan and step by step all of the items on the work order. As we did, we went to the places around the house and he explained what they were going to do in detail. I felt comfortable they knew what to do and that I should get out of the way. They excavated, hauled away the clay dirt they didn't use to back-fill around the house, they brought in clean top-soil, they planted grass seed and scattered straw. 5:45PM The very next day, 4" inches of rain. No standing water! The system worked well and it still does. Aqua Proof was not the least cost bidder but I know they were the best value. I guess what made Aqua Proof stand out and ultimately why I hired them was I felt like they had a better understanding of how to solve the problem and they took the time to educate me about what the issues were and how they would solve them. Bottom line, they said what they would do to fix the problem, they did it, it worked and kept me informed along the way.
Description of Work: Installed French Drain around the house. Added two down-spouts and ran all down-spouts into solid pipe out to storm collection drain. Back filled the around the house with clay dirt. Back filled French Drain with clean top-soil, seeded and covered with straw.
Very well. We checked back with them in the early summer and they said to call once we had the basement area cleared for them. Once we called them with this info, it was a couple weeks before they began the work as promised. The job took 2 days. The foreman was very helpful, checked with me before disturbing anything, and consulted with me whenever there were options. I did not wish to push my water over to the neighbor's, so they were able to landscape the side yard to avoid this, even adding a new window well to his side yard when the soil level was raised. Th first night of the job, it rained and rained, but they had the waterproofing and sump pump in, although the soil was not all put back. The sump pump worked great, even though the foundation was exposed. The work was finished on day 2 as predicted. We were advised some of the soil might sink, even though they used a mechanical tamper. I have not seen much sinkage as of Sept. 16. They were also willing to change their original estimate based on a change I wanted to the plans (go through patio rather than bathroom since I felt latter would be easier to fix). It did cost a little more this way, since they originally estimated lowest price, but I thought it was work it, since patio would be easier for me to repair (Aquaproof did repair a couple of cement slabs they had to go through, as originally agreed). Overall I was very happy with the work and staff and would use them again.
Description of Work: I had some work done by Aquaproof in 2008 to drain our yard. There was no guarantee at that time that it would fix my wet basement problem, but I decided to try a cheaper fix first. It worked until 2011 when we had a very wet spring. Aquaproof came out to give me an estimate within a couple days of my call. They waterproofed 3 sides of my foundation (fourth side was a garage) and installed a sump pump in the basement.
Quite frankly, I think they did a great job. It's been about 2 years and I have had no problems with the work at all. It's also remarkable that they call about every 3 months just to check on the work and make sure there are no problems and so far there have not been! I thought highly enough of them that I have recommended them to several other people who were also very pleased.
Description of Work: I had a 3-day project fixing some leakage in the basement and with some downspouts that take the water to the sewer system in the road. They also did some additional gutter work and some basement waterproofing as well as excavating.

Description of Work: They dug out some leakage areas around the basement, installed french drains, and installed a new sump pump.

We haven’t any problems with their work. However, I do feel that they didn’t burry some of the pipes deep enough. Our landscaper has run into them a few times.
Description of Work: They installed a French drain in our yard where we had a lot of standing water. Also, our sump pump was running constantly because of errors made by the original contractor. Aquaproof made all necessary corrections, but this meant that our whole yard had to be dug. They did leave our yard looking as good as possible though.

They sealed the exposed basement wall on the exterior portion. They then installed a sump pump, and new beams to strengthen the walls that were cracking. We haven’t’ had any problems with water since they completed work. Basically, they did exactly what they promised they would do, and we couldn’t ask for anything more.
Description of Work: We had a crack in our basement wall, as well as some water infiltration.
