Description of Work: I received a quote from Aqua Proof Inc. for in-ground downspout water discharge piping to replace the original 1950's clay pipes that weren't functioning. AquaProof personnel were polite and I received a call from an estimator promptly after my initial call to the company. | The estimator arrived promptly at the scheduled date and time and provided good advice, took measurements and provided a quote with a sketch. | The quote for trenching, laying 4" PVC pipe for 6 downspouts, and approx. 30' of french drain to be laid in a trench together with one of the discharge pipes was $3,735. after a 10% discount. The quote included 5 down spouts, 130' of regular discharge pipe, and 30' of yard line, and "30' discounted." | After receiving several quotes, I selected another provider (not an Angie's List provider) |and got the job done for $1185, or %68 savings over the AquaProof quote. It should be noted that AquaProof offers a ten year warranty on their work while the provider I used does not. Additionally no french drain was installed (nor was it necessary), | My guess is that AquaProof would have performed admirably had they been awarded the job. Unfortunately, their quote was, comparatively, sky high. Buyer beware! | |

Description of Work: I contacted this vendor via angie's list and spoke with a very helpful young lady by the name of Tiffany about a leak from the basement window. She suggested that I get the gutters cleaned, which I am unable to do until the end of the month. However after the rain yesterday the leak is worse, so since Tiffany stated in our last conversation that they would be happy to come out to give us an estimate I called back today. I left a message with no response, so I called back and spoke to another woman that seemed to be trying to talk me out of my request for an estimate. She kept asking me if I was aware of the company's required minimum of $2000 and suggested that I wait to have the gutters cleaned, or check to see if their is a drain in my window well or clean the window well. This is my first home so I dont know how to DIY this myself and we have WATER IN OUR BASEMENT so we cannot just wait because they done want to come out and perform an estimate that may just be a problem with the window well (as the lady put it) that would be under their $2000 min. It's very obvious that this company is only concerned about their bottom line and not helping someone in need. They dont care about the seriousness of our problem only making sure that they have a guranteed estimate above $2000. The conversation ended with me hanging up because I did not see the point in trying to argue someone into taking my business. We were willing to pay onve $2000 to get our drainage problem fixed. But this company will never see out money or business again, not would I recommend them to anyone I know. I contacted another contractor who understands the seriouness of our problem and if fitting us in his schedule today. THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS!!!

Description of Work: I had dampness in one of the finished basement rooms. Danny came over and located a small crack in the foundation. Aquaproof then cam out to repair the crack, added 2 window wells, and replaced a sump pump.

Description of Work: Sealed leaks in basement foundation, and drainage from gutters to the street.

Description of Work: The guys came out as scheduled and quickly assessed what my problem was. Unfortunately, it was nothing they could solve but that was because it was a plumbing issue and not a foundation or basement leaking issue. They did not try to convince me I needed work that wouldn't fix the problem and had some suggestions on where to start with working with a plumber. Very professional and nice guys, would certainly call back if I needed anything else looked at in the future.

Description of Work: I contacted AquaProof for guidance and an estimate for my aging parents who have a basement that keeps leaking water every spring when the heavy rains come in. although we didn't have them perform any work it was because the information he provided to us was very valuable. He gave us the reasons why this was happening and actually referred us to another company whom he said had specific expertise in the issue at hand. I appreciate that he was on time, he was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in explaining everything to me and my dad. He could have said he could do the job but he was honest enough to let us know the service needed by my parents was something that would be better handled by a company who had the best expertise to fix our issue. He addressed my dad's concerns and took alot of time with us. We were not rushed and he was very thorough. He offered up add'l solutions that were a temp fix until we could get the other work done which also helped. (example: he noticed the downspouts from differetnt parts of the house were way too close and said extending the spouts out further into the yard and directing away from the house would be beneficial - he also noticed some other areas of improvement he said we could make and not once did he try to "sell" us anything. It was good old fashioned customer serviice. My dad and mom are in their 70's - I am in my late 40's and I myself, actually used some of his advice to better help areas of drainage around my own home. Thank you AquaProof for being so honest and upfront. Another company we contacted for a separate estimate, were not prompt, not professional, immediately started quoting very very expensive "fixes" and talked "down" to my father and he is not one that will take kindly to that. He let the rep know that too. I am late in posting this review, but I wanted others ot know that I was very appreciative and greatful for AquaProof's type of service. Description of Work: Had a very good experience with this company. Person that gave the estimate was very nice and not pushy at all. The work was completed within the dates that they said it would be and I have noticed a huge difference in the water problems that we were experiencing. (Historical old building with stone foundations) I gave a "B" for pricing ... not because I thought they were higher than anyone else... but just because I thought it was an expensive repair. Would highly recommend them and would use them again!

Description of Work: I contacted Aquaproof because I had water dripping into my basement after recent heavy rains and snow melt, and I thought it was a drainage issue (ie the sump pit not collecting the water). Danny Manley called me back and though he was uncompensated, took the time in the course of multiple phone calls to help me better assess the problem. He suggested doing a water test against the side of the house where the leak was occurring, and since that yielded no water in the basement we concluded that the problem was a structure leak further up, not water entering the foundation. As a result I remembered a roof repair over a year ago and had the guy come out, turns out it was still under warranty and will cost me nothing to fix. Danny's advice was spot on, and I was impressed with his willingness to help, even though it would not result in any business for him.

Description of Work: AquaProof waterproofed our basement on four sides, installed six steel beams to reinforce a bowing wall, a sump pump with a radon crock and a battery backup. I met with several waterproofing companies before contracting with AquaProof. AquaProof was the least expensive (aside from one that offered a seemingly inferior product), seemed to have the best product, and was very responsive to the individual needs of our job. I was EXTREMELY impressed that they came in with a huge crew and completed the job in ONE day! It was obvious they do a lot of these jobs and the crew worked together with military precision. Have not gone through Spring yet, which is when we have had water issues, so I cannot totally speak to the quality of their work, but my initial impression is very positive.

Description of Work: I met with the owner of the company to discuss the concerns I had about my house and how water drains away and get the estimate. He met me at the time we agreed on and listened to my concerns. He designed a plan that made sense and would drain water away from my house and make me feel secure in the work. The crew showed up with plenty of manpower and the foreman explained what the were going to do. They finished on time as promised. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: We had Aquaproof out to our house for an estimate. The gentleman we had was named Gil. He was very polite, and on time. We called them for a second opinion, we had called everdry first and wanted more info. We told Gill everdry used a meter to show us moisture in our walls. He laughed right away, and went to his truck and got the same meter everdry had. When everdry used the meter it showed we had a lot of moisture in our walls.. When Gill put it to the wall, there was hardly anything. Then he put his finger behind the meter and against the wall, and to our surprise it was about the same reading as everdry. He said they use this scare tactic on their customers all the time. The salesman slid their finger behind the meter as they put is against the wall, and read the moisture in their bodies, not the wall. We really appreciate Gill for taking the time to listen to us, and all of our concerns. And for showing us the tricks of the trade, to scare customers into going with other places. We have not had work done by them yet, but do plan to in the future. Highly recommend this company and Gill.

Description of Work: The basement floor was jack-hammered and a new drainage system installed. The job took all day and was done by nightfall. Outstanding results as we are now having a large amount of rain and our basement is dry! The guys know their business; I would use them again. KFW

Description of Work: I had Aquaproof Inc. come to my home to give me an estimate for dome water damage I was seeing in my basement. Gil (the GM) actually made the service call to look over the damage, find the source of the problem and provide me with an estimate for repairing the issue. After spending over an hour assessing the issue and performing a leak check, Gil told me that there was no issue at all with the basement but it was related to a roofing problem that was diverting water behind a wall that made it appear that the foundation itself may have a problem. Aquaproof could have easily prescribed an expensive solution to take my money and do some secondary benefit in another area, however, they were very honest, helpful and made recommendations for repair that would not involve them at all! They essentially went out of their way to help and made nothing on the trip! I was very impressed and it's a shame that there are not many honest contractors out there who would take their time to provide this response. If and when I ever need basement waterproofing or repair, I will go no further than Aquaproof! Tony Smith Beavercreek, OH

Description of Work: We have been water leaking into our basement the past couple months. I had the Basement Doctor come out and give us an estimate. They thought we had a crack in our foundation and wanted to charge us $1000 to repair the crack. However, the next time it rained, the water came in a different area from where they thought the crack was. I finally called Aquaproof to get some help. Gil was outstanding. He did a water test to see where it was coming in and did a thorough inspection of our entire house. He concluded that all we needed to do was caulk to cement and some other holes in front of our house. He is on of the most honest and knowledgeable service people I have ever worked with. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. My husband caulked and we haven't had any issues since.

Description of Work: Dug 4-5 feet down in yard to install yard line. Covered with limestone gravel and dirt. Drain opening install. Installed as well. Water directed away from house and near to street.
