The experience was fine. The deal included a furnace tune up but I had just purchased a new furnace so I didn't feel it was necessary. There were more registers than what was included in the big deal so they agreed to not charge extra for the additional registers. The technician showed up on time, explained everything he was doing and did his work without further input. I didn't feel like I needed to be around in case I was needed. After the work was complete he showed me all that was removed. To be honest I was underwhelmed. I didn't feel it was a lack of the quality of the work, I guess I was just expecting more dust and debris to be in the duct work. I can say that there is less dust that has to be vacuumed. It seemed I was vacuuming 2 or 3 times a week and after the work once a week will do. Not sure I will ever get the ducts cleaned again but I would say it was worth it for this one time.

Great, just like the service Apollo provides for HVAC. We've always found them to be very punctual, reasonably cost-effective and very professional. They offer maintenance programs for plumbing just as they do for HVAC services, so we'll probably sign up for one of those shortly. Saves money in the long-run with the typical checks they do for the services provided. Good company.

We have always received excellent service from them. Today we had our furnace checked and tuneded up for the Winter. The service techniciation, Antonio W called us when he was on the way and arrived promptly as scheduled. He went right to work explaining what he was going to do. He was very efficient with his work and when completed, reviewed all that he completed for the job and asked if we had any questions. We really appreciate his professionalism and work ethic. We would reccommend Apollo to any one wanting an excellent service company for furnaces and air conditioners. .Winter season.

Tech was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, but was a bit "too" enthusiastic about the additional-hardware suggestion. Nevertheless, he was pleasant and got my husband's hint that he'd talked it up enough already, and he only mentioned it one more time: during his post-service-appointment wrap-up, where it was appropriate to do so. This was part of a service plan we have bought from them, and we recommend these strongly. We have consistently found the cost of the maintenance plan on our equipment is well balanced against the cost of labor and parts that would have been incurred otherwise. They also offer plumbing service plans.

I called Apollo in the early evening, needing emergency service. They assigned Ben Reinersman who was in northern Ky. on a job, but I was told he could be there within 2 hours. Ben called me immediately from his job in No. Ky. and informed me that he'd be at my home, north of Cincinnati in about 90 minutes. He then called while en-route to tell me he was on his way and when he'd arrive. He was there within an hour of my initial call to Apollo. Ben was super courteous, very knowledgeable and extremely thorough. He went over the entire furnace, inspecting and cleaning and solved the problem. He explained to me what he was doing and why, which I appreciated as I like to learn new things. In the inspection/cleaning process he found a crack in a carbon monoxide flue, put a sealant on it and notified me, so the part could be ordered. Fortunately that flue was not leaking CO. I'm very impressed with the price [no over-time though well into the evening hours], their responsiveness, courtesy and knowledge. This was the epitome of what a service call should be like and easily the best service call I've had in over 30 years. A lot of service reps could take some lessons from Mr. Reinersman! I have a lot of duct work and the men from Apollo started in the morning and stayed until 9 o'clock that night in order to get the job done. They moved the furniture out from under the return vents and very carefully covered vents so that they could vacuum out the dirt. The guys were friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. At the end of the day they showed me the results and I was amazed at the amount of dirt that was removed. Apollo is very good at their job.

We had needed our ducts cleaned for a long time, however heard it was too expensive. We found this deal on Angie's list and could not pass it up. The tech was very professional, extensive and gave a very detailed explanation of what he was doing and why. W eare very pleased with our clean ducts and very pleased with the service.

Service was completed timely and efficiently. Our house is 40+ years old and I thought our ducts would have been very dirty. The technician showed me the dirt he collected and it wasn't very much. I am glad I did have the job done, though. The technician was very interested in trying to get us to sign a monthly service plan. The technician brought up "the plan" options several times.

I have my home AC and furnace covered on the Apollo platinum plan----they service the ac at the beginning of the season and the furnace at the beginning of this season, and correct any problems so I have a cool summer and warm winter. Under this plan, the blower motor that went out on our furnace was covered. It saved me TONS of money to be covered. The part took a couple of days to get here from Texas, but considering it was a holiday weekend, I am happy with the timing and service. I think the plan costs about $25 a month. Very worth while!

The company worked around my schedule (I was going to be out of town a lot) in the hottest part of the summer to complete the work as soon as possible. The workmen showed up early, completed the job in one day, explained my new system to me, and cleaned up well. I was very pleased with the work.

I received a call confirming my appointment about 30 minutes before it started. Ben arrived right on time, promptly inspected our gas furnace in basement, replaced the filter on our humidifier and checked out the electric heat pump in attic. He was courteous and professional. He provided a couple of options to improve the function of our attic system (UV filter and wet switch). Before leaving, he sent me an e-mail receipt for my records with a detailed checklist of the items he reviewed. We pay approx. $700 per year for Apollo's gold service plan which covers both units and includes Spring and Fall inspections. Based on over 7 years of service with Apollo, including replacing a furnace and resolving some complex issues from work done by remodeling contractor, I would highly recommend this firm.

They did an excellent job and it was an outstanding bargain. We have had others come clean out our ducts and they were nowhere near as thorough. Their methodology was perfect and they were very professional and punctual. They met all my expectations and then some. They did everything they said they would do and did it a very clean manner including wearing booties while in the house. They cleaned up after themselves, swept up and wiped down everything as needed. I would highly recommend them.

My tenants informed me that the tub drain in my rental property was clogged, and after unsuccessfully attempting to clear the clog myself, I called Apollo because they had advertised drain clearing for $100 on their website. I called early in the morning on 10/16, and set up an appointment for the same day. The technicians, Mark and Matt, arrived on time, and had the drain cleared in no time flat. My only complaint was that when the technicians arrived, they informed me that you needed a coupon for the $100 price to be valid, and actually the drain clearing cost would cost $230. As I'd already left work early to meet them and my tenant needed use of the tub, I agreed to the increased price. However, the next day I contacted Apollo regarding the price confusion, and a customer service manager, Zane, promptly contacted me to let me know that there was a miscommunication with the technicians and they would honor the $100 price advertised online, refunding me the difference. Overall, Apollo offered speedy service for a good price. It's a shame I had to complain to get the advertised price, but the professionalism with which they handled the situation left me happy overall with the service. I would definitely call them again, knowing that if things do happen to go wrong, they're willing to make it right.

I took advantage of an "Angie's Special" for air duct cleaning for $199. I didn't really think about the fine print that said there is a limit on the number of openings, because it was characterized as a "whole house" cleaning. After they arrived and the man counted the number of openings, the price went from $199 to $440. We have a 3 bedroom, 2200 sq ft house, perhaps a little larger than a medium size house. Since then I've come to realize the number of openings in the special would only cover a 1 bedroom apartment. The special also included a furnace tune-up which took more time than the duct cleaning. After I declined to have one of their regular furnace guys to come "repair" it, I flipped furnace breaker back on, and it has been working fine for a year since then.

The guys said they couldn't clean the air ducts in my condo. Don't know why. They just said they couldn't do

Overall we had a very positive experience with them. They performed the work exactly as they described and planned and the quality of the installation was great. They were also very quick. Their pricing was the only area I didn't rate as "A," simply because it was a very expensive job. I'm not 100% sure it could have been done cheaper at the same quality, but we're happy still that we got good service.

I had used Apollo before and was very satisfied with the results. This experience was much the same. The service technician today was Saul Friling. Saul was prompt and very friendly. He recognized immediately that the flapper was too small and replaced it. Saul offered us the $99 One Year Pipe Checkup but was not pushy when we declined. The service call was $79 just for coming to the house, but for the good customer service, quick and accurate resolution, it was well worth the money. I would highly recommend this company.

We had called that morning and was told that we could have someone out there between 12 and 1. One came, no service guy. So I called the service line, and they apologized profusely, and promisedto have someone out within the half hour. Enter Ben! We have a separate outside room for the heater and the area it is in is confining making it difficult for us to maneuver the filter in without crushing it against a wall first. The company sent Ben out (he'd been to us before) and he set to work. Figured out that we needed only to remove a small metal shelf that made it easier for him to put in the filter. Huzzah! In addition, he also flicked on our April Aire, cleaned a tube out, and showed us how to add bleach to a bin that collects any run-off from the April Aire and AC. We were very grateful he took time to look everything over before leaving. It's very nice to have someone as thorough as Ben. We look forward to working with Apollo again. M. Lira

I was happy with my new ac unit. What rubbed me the wrong way, was that I felt come h*** or high water they were going to sell me a furnance. Finally, when i said no i dont want a new furnance at the present time. I get called into the basement and the technician tells me I have a hair line crack in my heater exchange. Which seemed suspect to me but ok. So, the technician red tags my furnance and does not communicate to me that they were going to do this. I discover this 3 months later when I go to turn my furnance on and it is only blewing cold air. I called several technicians to the house and the first thing that comes out of thier mouth is that my unit is over sized for my house. I can agree or disagree but the fact of the matter I have to buy a new furnace just to fit the ac unit. No where on my invoice does it say the gas was turned off. I am not done. So, I get the furnance turned on, now the AC and the furmance are blewing air at the same time. I was also promised $739.00 rebate from duke energy which I only received $221.00 not sure what happen to the remainding balace. Just a mess. I will buy a new furnance but it will not be installed by Apollo.

Apollo called to say that their technician was on the way, and Nelson arrived on schedule. I showed him the location of the furnace and thermostat and he rapidly completed the work. He cleaned up the work area and was careful to not track any dirt into the living area. At the completion of the work, he printed out a service report and the invoice.

Service tech. Shaun W. arrived during the specified time and went to work. Everything checked OK. We also let him know thermostat was not functioning properly. It really was old and on its last leg. He had with him on the truck a new thermostat that was really nice but also really pricey. So we passed on that. He also let us know that our water heater had a lot of corrosion and build-up at the connection. We had already been told that this needed replacement. So he looked up several water heater options for us, and gave us prices that included a 15% discount from Apollo. So he was very helpful. Explained why the heater needed replacement rather than repair.
