It was great. They came and did what they were supposed to do. We agreed upon the amount of money and it's all professional work. They did very well.

I searched Angie's List for a builder who would build me a shed on a concrete slab. All the highly rated shed builders here said they would only build a shed on a wood floor and could not do concrete work. One indicated I could contract out the slab portion then they would do the construction for me. But I wanted one contractor responsible for the entire project. I started giving up hope when my daughter suggested contacting All Decked Out. She knew the owner from her schools days. So I gave them a call and asked if they could build a shed on a concrete slab. The answer was yes and in a few days they came out to give me an estimate. The estimate was in ballpark and I signed the contract. They told me that they expected to start the first week in November. They started right on time but the expected time to completion went out a bit due to the weather. It became much colder than normal and then we had a snowfall which all delayed completion. I cannot fault them because of the weather. The new shed is almost exactly the same size as the old shed. The old shed had been poorly constructed by the previous homeowner and was rotting in many places because if was not built properly and let in a lot of water. They did have a custom made garage door in great shape on the old shed and a nice window. All Decked Out carefully removed the old garage door and window and installed them on the new shed. The old shed was built with studs and roof trusses on 24" center and All Decked Out always builds the walls and roofs with proper 16" centered studs and roof trusses. They also put in conduit through the concrete slab so I can run electric to the new shed. Electric work I can do. They also got shingles to match our house. Strand board sheathing was used under the exterior sheathing to make it a very strong exterior. Then Hardie board was used to protect the exterior of the structure to make it look great while protecting it from the elements. Cedar board was used to cover the exterior board seams as well as around the roof to create eaves. The also installed gutters. One gentleman did most of the work, however he had a helper 50% of the time. They were very pleasant and answered my questions or made modifications along the way. The only thing remaining is for me to paint the shed in the Spring when the weather is suitable for painting. I highly recommend All Decked Out for any of your outdoor construction projects.

All Decked Out came out the date they had originally scheduled with us. Joe met with us and we confirmed the location, his crew showed up and they started. Joe was there every step of they way, and made sure everything was to his specifications. With 150' of custom western redwood cedar fence, and a customized gate, my wife and I couldn't be happier. We highly recommend All Decked Out.

In a very busy time of year for his trade, Joe was immediately responsive. He scheduled a time to meet me to look at the project and arrived 10 minutes early. He promised to provide a quote within two weeks and had a quote back to me within 5 days. His price was very reasonable and he explained the process thoroughly and in a way I could understand. He was willing to work with me on the price and communicated very well. The funds we were going to use for this project did not end up coming through so we were unfortunatley unable to proceed.

The crew was wonderful and did a great job on a really difficult oddly shaped back yard. They made sure I was completely happy with their work and were professional. I would highly recommend them.

It was a fabulous experience for me - as being my 1st time in dealing with a contractor of any kind. The crew showed up to lay to footers and explained to me the process of every step involved - came back to build the frame - and then after inspections - created my beautiful deck. The workmanship was terrific and done in 2 days! You couldn't have asked anymore from anyone - they did a great job! I was nervous about this from the get go - and Jessica, who runs the office was ALWAYS personable and 'calming' with her emails and very informative of EVERY step involved. The permit price (which at 1st appeared a little high) included ALL the legwork of CAD pictures, ALL inspections' schedules, and everything you don't want to take the time to set up yourself! It was well worth that price! The finished product EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS!!!!!!!!! I would hire Joe to build ANYTHING i needed to have done and hope anyone who reads this review will, too!

We ended up not putting a fence in due to other unexpected costs, related to a pet. Joe was great, understood my needs and intentions and was prompt in getting a estimate back to me. We do have plans to utilize All Decked Out, when the time presents itself. We may even change or expand out existing deck, and will look to use them at that time.

We did not do business with All Decked Out but rather William Frisch Master Builders. William came out numerous times to answer all of our questions. Brought out samples of wood and deck materials. Brought out a reference book with pictures and contacts of prior jobs. We couldn't be happier with whom we selected. I would not contact All Decked Out again.

The work was excellent. The job took several days because the old fence had to be taken down before the new one could go up and at the end of each day the yard had been completely cleaned. The workers were prompt, responsive, courteous and professional. At the end of the job; the owner made a final inspection to be sure the work had been done to his (and our) satisfaction. At one point during the process; I had a question and he got back to me promptly with a response. I would highly recommend this company; in fact I intend to use them again when I re-build my deck. I would have no qualms about recommending this company to friends or family.

An excellent job all the way around! Joe Hagen, the owner of the company, was very thorough and professional when he came out to look over the proposed work. Joe impressed us with his knowledge and experience, and was the only candidate who actually looked around underneath the deck to check the condition of the foundation and joists. He pointed out that additional joists and hangers would be necessary to being the deck into compliance with current building codes. Seeing the condition of the current deck surface, and after pointing out that, while he could do it, he felt we wouldn’t be pleased or satisfied with the results of trying to “save” the existing deck with various fillers and other preparations (we confirmed this later by looking at some other decks that had been treated and “restored” that way), he suggested removing the existing deck surface and replacing it with new, premium wood. Based on the size of the deck, he suggested using two outside boundary rows to frame the surface, then completing the surface with 20-foot-long boards running almost the entire width of the deck, which he felt (and we agreed) would give the deck a very clean, and classy look, and avoid having a great many seams between boards across the surface. All in all, we felt very strongly that Joe was a real pro, knew what he was talking about, and was very experienced in this field. This was confirmed when Joe told us that the company was then booked solid for at least the next two months, and he offered us a very nice discount if we could wait to have the work done! We told him that would be acceptable. When we received All Decked Out’s bid the next day, we were very pleased to find it within the range of others we had been getting, and very competitive with even some who were only proposing a restoration rather than a rebuild! While it took a bit longer than they estimated to get to us, we chalked that up to a streak of bad weather during the period. While it would have been nice to hear an occasional “progress report” during that time, we realized that they could neither control the weather nor its effects on their jobs (plus they had their hands full – literally!), so we just remained patient. Not too long after the originally estimated start time, we got an email saying they had an opening, we responded affirmatively, and they began the project two days later. The crew of three (or sometimes two) workers were joined by Joe early the first day (to make sure we knew what was being done and why), and occasionally during the rest of the job (for status reports, etc.). The crew worked very quickly, but carefully and expertly, in our opinion. It was obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing, and had years of experience doing it. While we were expecting the job to take a week or more, it was finished in three (full) working days, with no compromise to quality in any way. The finished deck, railings and stairs look wonderful, with a number of quality touches, such as molding to frame the bottom of the main railing posts, and a wider top board on the railing to accommodate drinks, etc. They did an excellent job of cleaning up each day, hauling away the old lumber and materials, and clearing the work area completely when they were finished each day, including “sweeping” with a magnet-broom, the entire deck surface and entire surrounding lawn work area, when they were finished the last day, for any fasteners, screws, etc. that might otherwise have presented a hazard later. We are very pleased and impressed with the work and with all aspects of our new deck! We would highly recommend All Decked Out to anyone needing this type of work, and we will use them in the Spring, once the new wood has fully dried and weathered-in, to complete the staining and sealing. They are experienced professionals who do excellent work!

From the moment we met Mike, we knew we wanted to go with him. He was upfront and listened very well. Instead of trying to come up with his own design right away, he listened to what we wanted and then used that info to come up with a design. He also offered the use of a designer and payed her fee because we used him to do the work. Our biggest concern was shade. Our backyard is in the sun from sunrise to sunset, with no trees or other houses to block the sun. This is why we used Jen; because she had the ability to create an exact 3D replica of our backyard in the computer and show us where the sun would hit during various times of the day and year. Having this resource available was critical to the design of the patio. Ultimately, we ended up with a custom paver patio that sits on the top part of our backyard and is held up by a retaining wall. There is a seating wall that extends from the house and goes all the way around to a set of columns which marks the stairs that lead to the yard. There is also a custom set of stairs which go up to our patio door. There is a pewter-colored border which goes around the patio and really makes the design pop. To assist with shade, a custom-built pergola was installed. Instead of using slats across the top, it uses a material (like umbrella material) which provides solid shade. This solves our shade issue in a way that no standard pergola could, and it looks fantastic. No one else we talked to even suggested this sort of solution. Hours upon hours of research online didn't produce this solution, either. Without Mike and his resources at All Decked Out, we wouldn't have solid shade in our backyard. From the moment we met with Mike, he was available during all hours of the day. We talked at nights, on weekends, and often. We asked for a lot of changes, and Mike was always quick to listen to what we wanted and act quickly. While other contractors were taking days to even get back with us, Mike would often have the changes in our inbox that day. Furthermore, he worked with us on the price. He knew we wanted more than we could afford, and him and the designer both assisted in altering the designs so we could get what we wanted for the price we could afford. During the install, there was a problem with the border. It wasn't the same type of stone we originally wanted. When I brought this to Mikes attention, he quickly offered to rip the entire border out and replace it. He also wasn't happy with the construction of the bottom set of stairs and tore those out and completely rebuilt them. Mike has a reputation for being a perfectionist, and always wanting his jobs to be absolutely perfect. When we signed our contact with him, we had no idea we would actually need him to change something like described above, but I just can't say enough about how professionally he handled it and how quickly he resolved it. Mike is an amazing business man and just an overall amazing person. I simply cannot say enough good things about him. When you are putting this much money into something, this is exactly the kind of person you want doing it. The final result is breathtaking. It was completed on time and exceeded our expectations. There is a 5 year warranty with the product as well, so I know if anything strange happens over the next few years, Mike will come out and fix it. Mike and All Decked Out isn't just the best contractor I talked to, but is also one of the best persons/businesses I've ever worked with. I just can't say enough good things about them.

Joe Hagen came out as promised and was a pleasure to talk to. My husband and I went over everything we were wanting to do and Joe was very knowledgeable and gave us suggestions on what we could possibly do. He was able to give us an estimate and we did not think it was to bad. The only thing is my husband and I had more that a new deck to get done. We were looking for someone that could do roofing and replace one door and create openings for two more. Thanks Joe for coming out. It was a pleasure meeting you!
