+ 8 moreTom was one of four bids but the only one who had plenty of ideas to get what I wanted done in the best possible way. The others were on auto pilot and one even said no to an idea. Tom and his crew - always punctual and always available for questions - got it done and I couldn't be happier with the results.
Description of Work: Tore out mater bath with tub and replaced with shower. Tore out wall to provide more space. All new fixtures, electrical work, mirrors, tile, moved faucet to opposite wall, moved toilet 6 inches accommodating wider shower. Installed new vanity. Same in hall bath except installed new tub, faucet stayed on same wall.

Description of Work: Replaced my full bathroom taking it down to the bare bones. He took out the old bathtub and put in a new shower, moving the toilet about 6 inches. Put in new marble tile, he is a artisan and a craftsmen. He can do it all from tile, electrical, plumbing, lighting, replace doors, remodeling kitchen.

From my first consultation with Tom Moore, who was punctual, professional, and proficient, not to mention just an all-around charming fellow, through to the finished project, completed by Gavin and his EXCELLENT team, my experience with All About Tile was the best!! Tom answered all my questions and gave me really good advice to help in making my choices. The estimates for time and cost were spot on--in fact, they were able to finish a bit sooner, which really helped. They provide top-notch quality and value at a reasonable cost. I have received so many compliments on the floor--Gavin has a wonderful eye for color and he placed the tile, using the color variations, so well that people don't believe it's tile since it looks like oak hardwood. I recommend them most highly and will be having them do the tile on the main floor of my condo as well.
Description of Work: Replaced carpet on my entire first floor with tile. As a courtesy, the team helped shift the furniture etc because I'd just had hip replacement surgery. They disposed of the carpet, got half the area done the first day, finished the second area the next day, then Gavin picked the perfect grout color and they finished the grout the third day. They even cut tile to fit in the two doorways for a beautiful finish between the rooms of of the main area. They were quick and efficient, cleaning up after themselves as they went. The quality of their work is excellent.

+ 5 moreGavin and his crew of two were great to work with. I met with Gavin several times before the work commenced, in order to plan and to pick out materials. He recommended several places that could save us money on things like tile and cabinets. Gavin was easy to contact and was very quick in responding either by email, text, and phone. He was very patient with all my questions and queries. He welcomed my suggestions and offered his own as well. He checked with me before doing anything that required my opinion, as he knew I was really picky. They had to custom fit the farmhouse sink we selected and it looks wonderful. He and his crew worked hard for a month to get the job completed. Not only did they work hard, they were always very upbeat and friendly. Also want to add they were very trustworthy and we felt comfortable having them work on things while we were at work. We are very happy with our amazing new kitchen! The tile work is beautiful. + 0 moreRick and Kenny worked for three and a half days and their work is excellent. My bathrooms have never looked better. They went the extra mile, were punctual and very professional. I would not hesitate to call them again should the need arise. They were meticulous in their work and cleaned up beautifully as they finished each job.
Description of Work: Two brothers in a family owned business, did the following work on a master bath and hall bath plus a half bath. Acid cleaned both showers and floors of tiled bathrooms. Removed old grout and regrouted all, siliconed all corners. Replaced the old vanity top with a new one and replaced the faucet. with a new one. Replaced the medicine cabinet. Replaced hand-held shower and attached a handle to the shower door. Cut the top of a bedroom door and fixed the strike plates on two doors so the doors close properly. Attached a toilet paper holder in a half bath. Cleaned two exhaust fans and replaced one. Replaced three toilets. Put in a pea trap on the new vanity sink and replaced a door stop and installed a new towel holder.

+ 0 moreThis is the second time I've used Tom for a job - the first time was for our Master and this time was for our little bathroom upstairs which was ugly pink tile. Tom and Brian completed the job in 5 short days and went above and beyond to even paint the walls which was out of scope. Tom is a perfectionist who carefully inspects each tile and makes sure that the job looks beautiful - like it was his own home. When the vanity was slightly off since the wall wasn't level, he made sure that it looked square by adjusting. Tom takes great pride in his work at a great price and I wouldn't even think of using a different service for tile work in my next house when we move this summer.
Description of Work: Took out a vanity, mirror, shower tile, floor tile and towel bar/toilet paper holder (basically everything but the tub). He then put up new shower backing and tile with a corner shelf and all the faucets; the vanity with all the faucets and the floor tile; added in the baseboards; patched the walls; painted the walls.

He was very knowledgeable of the materials used in a 120 yr old home, especially with regard to the existing terrazzo floor and was able to retile over that. He was prompt and respectful of the property and completed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this company

+ -1 moreTom returned my call promptly. However, after providing a brief explanation of the job did not ask any clarifying questions and proceeded to tell me that they were all booked up. He then commented that we were located in Middletown (greater Cincinnati area) and asked where exactly in Middletown we were located. This question kind of threw me - explained we were not to far from Middletown high school and then he stated that they do not come down this far. Apparently Middletown is not in their service area. Was kinda surprised at response. Suggest they more clearly specify their service area for future customers. Will have work done elsewhere- am guessing actual work will be in $1,000 - $2,000 range. Perhaps was not large enough job for them to consider. Don't know.
Description of Work: Called and left voice mail for company. Was looking to schedule an in home review and estimate for repair work to a tile shower and the installation of safety bars for my elderly parents. Have water damage to shower so work would have included replacement of base board, tile replacement, re-caulking and possibly cleaning/repair of tile floor and then installation of 4 safety bars.

He and his partner Brian made sure the tile layout was correct and consulted with us every step of the way. Tom and his crew were with us for multiple weeks completing the kitchen backsplash, powder room, hall bath and master bath. They could not have been more hard working or courteous. Work area always cleaned up every night. There is nothing Tom cannot do! He takes a lot of pride in his work. We have a gorgeous hall bath and master bath. Beautiful job in every way! A+++++++++++++
Description of Work: Complete tear out of hall and master bath down to studs. Secondary job installing kitchen backsplash and new vanity and lighting in powder room. Cement board used in both bathrooms for shower and floors. Custom tile design layout and installation. Installed enamel over steel bathtub in hall and heated jacuzzi in master bath. Plumbing was moved to accomadate new tubs and shower. Installed new high efficiency toilets. Installed high efficiency exhaust fans in each bathroom. Raised vanities in both bathrooms and concealed the additional height with the bathroom tiles. New tile floors installed in each bathroom. Travertine tile used in master and kitchen backsplash. Shower niches part of each shower design. Built in travertine shower bench in master bathroom. Tom creates his own bull nose tile saving money purchasing baseboards from tile shop. Installed new light fixtures and painted ceilings and walls in both bathrooms.

+ 5 moreTom was very nice to work with. He was professional and helpful with ideas. He and his associate were on time, very tidy and communicated daily on progress. The job was completed within the time frame that was specified. A sense of pride in work showed. There was one issue after the job was completed. Tom came by and resolved the issue the same day I called him. Can not ask for more than that. It was a good remodeling experience all around. We are planning to hire them again in near future.
Description of Work: Tom and his associate did a complete bathroom remodel and enlarged our master bedroom closet. Work involved complete gutting of bathroom, tear down of a couple walls, and constructing new wall with pocket doors. They replaced drywall, installed cement board, replaced sub floor. Lights and exhaust fans were installed. Tub and soffit were removed and replaced with beautiful tile and glass doors. Window sill was replaced and built in shelving was installed in shower. Some plumbing work was involved in the project, along with replacing the toilet. Ceramic tile floor was laid , everything painted. We are beyond thrilled with the results.

+ -1 moreFor the record, my wife and I are a disabled senior couple. Neither of Us have ever written a review. We are both level headed retirees from the aerospace industry. This company consists of three brothers who do bathroom and kitichen remodeling in Cincinnati, Ohio. We picked them from three in-home estimates. This company, represented by Tom Moore (one of the three brothers) was well on the way to getting our business with a high review. But something happen. I am not sure what or why. And this falls into the category of "I don't care why". Hense no attempt to contact the company. Long story short, they gave a verbal assurance the bath remodel job would not exceed $8,000. And they were able to start in about 2-3weeks. When Tom brought the contract to the house to sign, it was for >$10,000. He also informed Us they could not start untill after the new year (2016). Ok not looking good so far. But then Mr. Moore went to a place a proffessional should never ever go with a customer. When leaving the house he pointed to someone walking up our street on the opposite side of the road. The person (who I could not see their face to identify) appeared to be a young tall boy of color wearing a hoody. It was a cool raining windy day. The boys' hood was up. Tom remarked he would never live where "something like that" was walking past his house because he had two teenage daughters! My wife is colored. Enough said?

+ -1 moreThis work was done exclusively by Dan Moore of All About Tile. Dan was polite and prompt in returning our calls to make arrangements for work, and did call us when he would be delayed from a scheduled time. He prepared a detailed list of exactly what he would do as the components of our project, something that other bidders did not bother with. We were amazed that he could do all the steps in our updating by himself. He took great pride in his work, and frequently checked with us to verify that we were happy with progress on the work as it was completed. When our original choice of tub/shower fixtures was unavailable due to code changes, he quickly altered his plumbing plans to install the new fixtures. Dan took precautions to avoid scattering the dust of demolition through the house, and cleaned up nicely from day to day. The new tub/shower area he put in for us was beautiful, one we were proud to show off when our daughter came home for Christmas. We were thrilled to have our downstairs shower area cleaned up so neatly after 25 years of wear and tear. If Dan saw some extra small thing that needed to be done to make the area better improved, he checked with us and got it done! Dan was friendly and personable, and almost became a member of the family: we ended up making coffee for him day-to-day. The work was completed in exactly the time he had estimated for us, and--when there was a delay in getting tub fixtures from a supplier--had everything ready for installation and came promptly back to us after starting another job, in order to finish our project. All was done and in good working order well before Christmas.
Description of Work: Bathroom 1: Removed old bathtub and tile shower enclosure and replaced with new bathtub, tile shower enclosure and plumbing fixtures. Bathroom 2: Repaired, cleaned, re-grouted shower tiles, cleaned bathroom floor tiles; sealed all grout; re-plastered bathroom ceiling damaged by water leak.

+ 3 moreTom was great to work with! We had to delay the start of the project a couple of times, but Tom was patient and gracious with our schedule. Once we were able to get started, Tom was on the ball! The bathroom was gutted, a new walk in shower was built where the tub once was, new vanities were installed. Along with an amazing job on the tile, Tom completed all of the plumbing (intricate due to the "car wash" we had installed in the shower) and lighting. It is absolutely beautiful ... we couldn't be happier!

The estimate that Tom provided was very complete and detailed everything he was going to do, as well as what he would provide and what we would purchase for out own preferences. Tom was prompt every day and kept us well-informed of the process. We was willing and able to make adjustments along the way, when necessary. We were gone every day at work and never worried about anything. The house was clean and locked up when we returned at night. The tile and everything else that was installed is beautiful and we would definitely call Tom Moore again for future projects.
Description of Work: We had a complete remodel of our large and very outdated bathroom. Tom Moore from All About Tile removed the tiled walls, tiled floor, bathtub, etc. He installed a tiled, walk-in shower, marble tiled floors, vanity, toilet, window, insulation, finished walls and everything except painting the walls. He took care of all removal of debris from the bathroom, too.

+ 5 moreWe hired Gavin/All About Tile to do our bathroom remodel. It was a 1960's era bathroom with the tile concreted into the walls so previous contractors/estimates said it would be a lengthy, arduous remodel that would be very expensive. Gavin, however, did not seem daunted by this and quoted us a fair price for the job and a 2 week timeline. We found him to be very responsive throughout the process, often answering calls or text messages immediately. We also liked the fact that he had ideas about the project, voiced opinions when we asked and brought a great deal of insight on what would work and what wouldn't, while ultimately deferring to us on final decisions. He even went to tile stores with us and helped us with ideas, picked out tile and gave input on where to go for best prices. The demolition of the old bathroom was quick and about as mess-free as you could get with a project of this nature. Overall they did a fantastic job with the remodel, installing new tile on the walls and floor, new light fixtures, new tub and toilet (plus another toilet in a different bathroom), new double sink vanity (which required new plumbing) and painting. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the finished project looks absolutely wonderful!
