Description of Work: After repeated service calls with several different HVAC companies, I called Air Plus Heating and Cooling for their help at the advice of my son who had used them for the past ten years.. Then on a Sunday my furnace went out in December. Even though I was not yet a customer, the owner Rob Raby sent out his service manager who got the furnace running. Since my system is all electric, I was incurring very high heating bills since the heat pump wasn't working properly and we were using pure electric heat which is very expensive. Mr. Raby scheduled a complete checkup of the system before Christmas and determined that the furnace was shot and the heat pump, which was only five years old, had been damaged due to a leak in the coil in the furnace and water had contaminated the system. He offered several alternatives ranging from repair of the existing system to replacing the furnace and heat pump with a high efficiency unit. Replacing the unit would get me a $200 rebate from Duke Energy and a tax credit on my taxes.I opted to replace the entire system which they did in one day on 1/5/2011. An excellent compnay to work with, great service manager and the technicians who installed the furnace, etc. did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them if you need HVAC work.

Overall, an excellent job and we would use them again.
Description of Work: Our heat went out on a 20 degree day and when we called, they promptly called back, were here within an hour. They had to go pick up a part but the heat was on quickly.

The last visit went very well. They helped me set up an appointment when I called. They were out the following day. The man who came out was very friendly. He gave me some advice and he offered to do some extra small work. He was very willing to go the extra mile. I like them very much.

ROB WAS ABLE TO INSTALL THE CENTRAL AIR-CONDITIONING THE DAY AFTER I GAVE THE OK. ONE SMALL ISSUE (REPAIR OF A HEATING VENT GRILLE IN THE BATHROOM) WAS FORGOTTEN. ROB CAME BACK WITHIN 2 DAYS AFTER HE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM.
