First had mold tests in 2 spaces and came back positive. Team came out the following week, removed the mold, including drywall that was effected and all other pieces around it and sprayed down the area. Overall took 2 days and very pleased with how the house was left.

Mark’s experience in doing this work was evident and his efforts were efficient and he made a thorough inspection of potential mold areas in the home. Amazingly, we had the results in a professional report the next day from an accredited laboratory. Good news was that we had no mold issue - levels outside vs. inside we’re substantially higher.

Very well. Mark came over to assess the situation and take a test of the air. It turned out the mold count was high. In a few days, Scott came to put in the air scrubbers for a weekend and then returned to do the remediation. Scott is great, very professional and serious. He suggested it would be a good idea to get the air ducts cleaned, although they do not do that. I did find another company to do that and I am thankful for that suggestion since it made a great difference.

Mark inspected our basement and the area we suspected might be mold. He took air samples both inside and outside to send to the lab. He was prompt, efficient, professional and informative. Fortunately, we have no toxic mold. Simple clean up will solve the problem.

The process was fast and easy, Mark responded to my email through Angie's list within an hour. He was able to have the work started the next day. The work was completed as promised. They removed drywall, removed the mold, treated the studs, used a special air cleaner to keep the mold spores from spreading. I'm probably leaving out some of the technically details, I'm just happy that the job was done quickly and professionally. We we're really pleased with the work they did.

The tests came back positive for 2 different molds. I paid $3500.00 to have the mold remediated while they stayed here for a week. She is healthy now, so I think that the remediation was a success.

I hired Action Mold Removal to test the mold levels in my home after my go-to HVAC maintenance company implied strongly to me that I had a dangerous situation with organic matter in my vents and laid out a plan to treat it for nearly $4,000 and advised me that "Testing for mold is expensive; best just to treat it." AMR owner Mark Smith was at my house within a few days. He was professional, punctual, polite, and knowledgeable. He did the testing efficiently and with minimal interruption to my day. His fee was as advertised (with a discount for Angie's List). The testing was done on Saturday. The samples were shipped overnight the following business day (Monday) and results were in my hands early Tuesday afternoon: normal. I saved a lot of money going the AMR route and would hire him again -- though I hope never need to! Highly recommended.

We had to call this company to come back 3 times after initial work because instead of removing mold from floor joists in crawl space Scott just painted over it. After this last time my son still found mold painted over. When I contacted the owner he tried to tell me it was stains leaking through the paint. I included a picture that clearly shows bumps under the white paint, and we were shown that if when you wipe your finger over it that it smears black, then that is mold just painted over it. We did not do our homework on how a mold removal job should be done properly, but now know exactly what should have been done. This company didn't use a lot of mold removal standards. Most information you find will tell you that wood needs to be sprayed with a liquid. This company fogged the crawl space, but also just sprayed the fogger at the joists, which is not the standard and will not properly kill the mold. Another red flag should be only a 90 day warranty versus the standard 1 year warranty that the mold will not grow back. Also, they originally did not create a proper vapor barrier on the ground. We had to call them back to pull the barrier all the way to the walls. They actually tried to tell us that the ground needs to be able to breath. Any information you find on vapor barriers will tell you that the barrier is just that, a barrier between the damp dirt ground and your home above. I question why this company has had such good reviews, but I'm suspecting most homeowners don't actually crawl into the crawlspace to check the work, and they, rightfully so, trust that this company has done the job properly. As another reviewer pointed out, this company likes to put blame on the homeowner, or that the homeowner is just wrong if they gave a negative review. I would suggest to any other homeowner that has had an unsatisfactory job completed by this company that they file complaints with The Better Business Bureau, and the Kentucky Attorney General. This company should not be in the mold removal business if they cannot do the job properly.
