Very well!
Description of Work: Mould removal from boiler room floor in basement. Floor boards and padding had to be removed and disposed off. My call was answered the same day. Everything was done on time. They were pleasant and professional. A pipe was dislodged which caused water to drip on the floor and produce mold. They rectified the pipe issue too, and painted a small part of the base board for me. I was very impressed.

Description of Work: "Working with this company was a HORRIBLE experience! I hired Action Mold to clean up the mold in my basement that was the result of a sewer line backup. Mark made plenty of promises but kept few of them. I am not going to list all the problems because this review would get too long. Also, I've read Mark's responses to people who don't give him glowing reviews. He turns everything around and twists what happened to make it sound like his customer is the one at fault. When I decided to use his company, he promised me that it was a 2 day job and that they would not be at my house on Friday. When Buddy showed up at my house on Wednesday morning, he told me that they would be working part of Friday. So, the fact they were working an extra day had nothing to do with me asking for any extra work to be done. So, if Mark tries to say that it's a lie. When Buddy finally "finished", I was out of town. He called me to get payment and promised to send pics of the completed job when we got off the phone. I never got the pics. When I got home Sunday evening I was appalled at the way that they had left my house. They had fogged the basement on Friday, but no one had told me to close my HVAC vents so my entire house was covered in a layer of "chemical" dust from the fogger. In the basement, there was still drywall with mold on it. There were numerous items that had not been wiped done, Mark had promised that all items in the mold area of the basement would be thrown out or wiped down. In the bathroom that they gutted, there was drywall debris in the drain of the toilet that they removed because they didn't cover the drain. Buddy and his helper went through my garage to borrow my dustpan and utility light, without asking. One of them went through my kitchen cupboards to borrow a drinking cup, which was then left lying in my backyard when they were done. I even found trash in the container that I use for dog food. The worst part was that they ruined my basement floor with their paint sprayer!! They put cardboard done in some places, but there is overspray on most of my basement floor in the areas that the sprayed. Buddy refused to come back and finish the job, so Mark came out the following Friday. First of all, instead of apologizing for the problems and lack of respect for my home, he made excuses for it. When I told him that the guys went through my house looking for things, he said that they did that because they didn't want to bother me at work. Unacceptable! When I complained about the paint all over my basement floor, he said that that's what happens when using a paint sprayer....Well, I say, if they new it was going to happen, then they should have put down drop cloths. The floor used to have a polished look to it. I still haven't figured out how I am going to repair it or how much it is going to cost me. He did take care of some of the easy problems. He was supposed to wipe down some plastic shelving that the guys didn't even bother to move. Mark moved the shelving to make it look like he wiped it down, but when I started mopping the floor to try and clean up their mess I found that the bottom shelves had dirt and cobwebs on them. I never contacted him again because I didn't feel that it would accomplish anything. In my opinion, Mark and his employees showed no respect for me or my home and in no way acted in a professional manner.

The technician came into our home with lots of various mold-testing equipment. He tested the air, our carpet, and took swab samples. He sent all of our swab samples to a lab in Virginia and it tested positive for various mold spores. He gave us lots of official laboratory results and paperwork. He gave us a very high and outlandish estimate for mold remediation that was multiple thousands of dollars. He was very nice and friendly to us, and seemed very competent and knew what he was talking about. We respectfully declined the work and had our painter come out and apply a chemical from a spray bottle to the mold spot and it has not come back. I’m not against the idea of hiring this company in the future if the mold comes back.

Mark was very professional scheduling the mold inspection for our condominium and completing the work in a very timely manner. During the inspection he examined under sinks, in the utility closet, and up in our (very hot) attic. Mark answered our specific questions regarding areas with which we had concerns and responded promptly to our e-mails. We appreciate Mark's inspection and the peace of mind it brought us. Thank you!

This mold problem had occurred in the basement due to a leak in the foundation. The affected room was a storage area located behind where the leak had come in. Mark Smith was very pleasant. He arrived promptly for the estimate and was able to fit this job into his schedule two days later. He and his partner were very congenial, especially considering how nasty this job was. I had cleaned out much of the affected area of the basement. However, there were some larger furniture pieces which I could not remove on this short timeline. The guys carried out several large items so that I could dispose of them.When the space was clear, Mark and his crew of one worked quickly to remove the areas that had been touched by mold. They were extremely efficient as they worked downstairs with little interruption to the household upstairs. This was a two day job due to the need for the air scrubber, dehumidifier, and blowers to be left running overnight. This caused no problem (such as noise, inconvenience, odor, etc.). This remediation, which I was dreading because I thought it would be so extensive, was completed easily and quickly by Action Properties Management. Mark Smith was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend his company to anyone.
Description of Work: Mold remediation was performed in the basement. Carpet, padding, drywall, insulation, paneling, and trim were removed from affected areas and disposed of. All affected areas were cleaned and fogged. Mold sealer was applied to exposed wood and foundation walls to keep mold from returning. Air scrubber, commercial dehumidifier, and blowers were run for two days to trap any remaining mold spores.

We are currently remodeling an area in our home and thought we had run into mold. Action Property came out and ran tests on a Saturday and by Monday we had the results. Turns out there were problem areas. Action Property gave us a quote and explained what services would be included. Since we already had a contractor remodeling doing our, we did not use Action Property.
Description of Work: Very prompt and quick responses. He was very professional. He had great explanation of what he was doing and how to fix the problems. I would recommend this company to a friend. Action Property ran mold testing in our home.

This was a two day job and required that we not be in the house during the daytime, due to the fogging of the house with chemicals. They started each morning around 10:30 am and finished each day around 4:00 pm. We are very pleased with the job they did. When you look at the places where the mold had stained the drywall you can't see any evidence that there ever was any mold.
Description of Work: They searched the house for signs of mold. Then came back on two different days and fogged the house, craw space, and heating and air conditioning system. They also treated each stain caused by the mold and coated it with a white substance that looked simialr to Kilz, but had special chemicals to deal with the mold. As far as the price, we did not get any other estimates, so we have no others to compare. However, they did work with us on the price by letting us pay half when the job was completed and the rest 30 days after completion.

He came and did a test of the area. Sent us a detailed report on the test results. Explained what needed to be done. He completed the project. We live North of Dayton and he was willing to drive up from Kentucky to do the project.
Description of Work: We had a leak in our roof and developed mold in the attic. Mark came and treated the area. He just completed the project so we hope that he did it right but we don't have any reason to believe he didn't. I guess time will tell if it was successful but he was very nice to work with. He seemed knowledgable of what we needed him to do for us.

Mr. Smith was very helpful with the information he gave us during our initial phone contact with him. He was prompt when arriving to give an estimate, and to come back and do the work. He returned all calls. He started on a Friday morning, worked all day, and returned on Saturday morning to finish. He cleaned up the areas he worked on. He did a very thorough job and was glad to answer all of our questions.
Description of Work: We hired Action Property Management to remediate mold in a bedroom and bathroom wall, bedroom ceiling, and an area in the garage. The affected drywall was removed and disposed of, the bedroom and bathroom were fogged, as well as the duct work. The surrounding areas were painted with a mold inhibitor sealant. Air scrubbers were used.

Description of Work: The owner, Mark Smith, returned my call immediately yesterday. He was here on time today and discussed all of our issues with the fireplace/mold problem. The house that I?ve been trying to buy looks like it?s not going to happen unfortunately. So I don?t need their services right now. I looked them up on Angie?s list because I had anticipated using contractors. The deal hasn?t come through so far. Their customer service was excellent. I had no problems with them whatsoever. They were pleasant and very informative. They were responsive. They were here the next day. I would use their services again in the future if they are not too expensive.
