Description of Work: A pre-paid big deal was purchased for an inspection. I spoke to the owner once who was very professional and friendly. However, I never got a chance to schedule an inspection because further contact was extremely difficult.

Description of Work: Mr. woody and his helper only had weekends open, so they worked SATURDAYS. He is committed to doing a great job and ended up doing more then he expected at no additional charge. My stone house was quietly tuck pointed and sealed. The grounds are cleaner than when he arrived A truly delightful experience! Fair & Punctual Gentlemen. will hire again

Description of Work: Grover Woody, who had worked on my sister's foundation, and done excellent work, came, studied the engineer Roenker's plan, and followed with his own proposal. He and 2 men really worked. March 11 to 15 building 3 piers and placing an I beam in the basement. They dug cement in affected areas on the garage floor and found rusted rebar, This was cleaned and coated to prevent further rusting. Special additions were used to strengthen the cement replaced. That was hand troweled and smoothed out. These diligent men were prompt, explained what they woudl do, worked steady, and left all areas clean> Excellent progress!

 + -1 moreGrover Woody came out within two days of my initial phone call. He showed up on time. He took one look at the project and it was obvious that he didn't want to deal with it (this is a complicated repair). He was honest with me and told me who to call.
Description of Work: Came out to look at the repair of a large brick retaining wall that has a cap that has deteriorated.

 + -1 moreMr. Woody arrived on time to survey the job and give me an estimate. He made some additional suggestions as to how he would make repairs. He arrived on time two days later to do the repairs. The job was on a hillside and very difficult to reach. He completed the repairs better that I expected and during the time he was working he found other places that needed repair; he fixed those for no additional charge. When the work was finished he cleaned up everything and left no mess. I would recommend Mr. Woody for masonary repair work without reservation.

 + -1 moreMr. Woody came out the day after I called him to give us an estimate. It seemed to be good price and he also asked if I saw him on Angie's List so that he could give me his discount. He came back two days later to do the job. Everything was finished with five days of my first call and for the price he quoted us. He was very professional and efficient. He also told my wife he could recommend some other people for other work we need to have done. I would definitely use him again and we have already recommended him to friends.
Description of Work: Repairs were made to the front stairs of our home. Two stairs had large cracks and were crumbling. Mr. Woody did great job fixing the stairs. They look good as new.

 + -1 moreMy. Woody was extremely professional and nice to work with. He came on a Saturday to do the estimate. He came back on Monday with a helper to do the job. He charged me exactly what he quoted me. I would definitely call him first should I need similar services.
Description of Work: He repaired a decent-sized crack in garage wall and smaller crack outside. The work required cutting away around the large crack, then filling in with concrete. The smaller crack outside needed concrete caulking.

 + 0 moreI was not as impressed with Mr. Woody as other companies due to his awkward social skills when describing how he would approach the particular job I had. He appeared a bit negative on the effectiveness of a particular repair I requested, but I respect his professional opinion about how a job should be completed. His estimate fell in the middle of the range from other companies that came out. I chose a different company for their price and more friendly demeanor.
Description of Work: Patch front steps, repair front foundation and side wall, fill basement door frame.

 + -1 moreI was very happy with my experience. I had contacted him a year ago to get an estimate. I couldn't do anything till this year but he honored his original estimate. He was very honest and both him and his partner were conscientious about cleaning up and offering to put stuff back.
Description of Work: Repaired spilling concrete under my porch in my basement. There were several good size holes where the re-bar was visible and rusted. He cleaned that up and repatched the concrete holes in the ceiling (about 4 places).. Also.. without me asking he did a temporary patch on some steps in my basement. He cleaned up the leaves too!

 + 1 moreMr. Grover was prompt and courteous. I had a short time frame to get this work done. Mr. Grover did the estimate within a day or two of my call, and he had the work done in just a few more days. I showed him several places around my foundation and front porch where the concrete and stucco had both small and large cracks and needed cosmetic work. He did the repairs to perfection. He asked if I would like him to caulk/repair some other cracks he had seen and did so for no extra charge. The work he did is excellent and I would certainly hire him again.

Description of Work: Mr. Woody repaired a huge crack in basement foundation (concrete/stone interior wall.) 110 year old house, and then he painted basement walls with dry lock to waterproof. Patched a hole in brick chimney, patched a threshold by door, installed window well to divert water from gutter.

 + 1 moreMr. Woody was very prompt and knowledgeable about how to do the different kinds of repair needed. The work was excellent, and he was very courteous and friendly, and accommodating to our schedule. They even cleaned up some debris that were in a work area, but unrelated to the work they were doing. I think it was an excellent value for the difficulty of the location for the major repairs. I also requested an estimate for some other foundation work, and because I am happy with the job he did, I am going to have him come back and do the additional work.
Description of Work: Mr. Woody repaired broken and eroded portions of a back porch, and top of stairway to basement, some cracked and eroded areas of the garage floor, and several holes and cracks in the foundation.
