Ace Exterminating

Had them install the baits around Mom's house. I was unsure this was a good thing --- drawing the termites close to the house that had once already been infected. At one point I had an issue with one of the bait traps that they promptly replaced. But I noticed a LOT of termites on that bait. I requested a report. They said they'd give me one. NEVER GOT ONE. In fact, I had asked for updates / reports every time they made an inspection. They said they'd give me one. NEVER RECEIVED ANY REPORTS ABOUT THEIR OBSERVATIONS. NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING BUT A BILL. So today I called and said I would not be renewing because of that, and they didn't even TRY to keep me as a customer. They simply said we'll have the bait traps removed. They quickly ended the conversation. WOW. So I guess I made the right decision to drop them. So now I STILL do not know anything about what is happening on my property with regard to termites. I would never ever recommend them. Ever. I'm sad about that, because I wanted to employ a local company for this issue, and now I'm going to have to submit to the bleeping national chains. Really, why couldn't they at least have given me a report after inspection??? Now I have to go find another company to give me honest input.

I have had trouble cancelling my service contract. They came without notice. I sent them away, telling contract cancelled. Three days later, I received a bill for services rendered. When I called, I was told technician submitted a voucher to their billing department

The actual exterminator was great, very nice and helpful. The service is okay, one was successful. The other wasn't. The office staff? not so great. Sherry especially is rude and condescending. It's completely unprofessional to talk over, interrupt and become combative with clients. I was not even going to leave a bad review until after I talked to her about canceling services. Her behavior is what garnered them this one star rating.

We received another good year of service from Ace. We have them come out and treat the exterior of the house every quarter. Their technician (Kevin) is very professional and does a great job of communicating with us and handling the work.

Very well. UPDATED AS IF 06/15/2020: My experience with Ace was great. I initially spoke with Matt who set up a time to come a inspect my property. He was very knowledgable and took time to explain the process. Later that day, I was contacted with a day and time of when a technician will arrive to do the install. The day of my appointment, Kris showed up early and got right to work. He was very nice and explained how the stations work. Overall the whole process was painless and they really put my mind at ease.

Ace responded quickly to our initial call. Darrell was friendly, professional and answered all our questions. We took a day to compare our options with the various treatments available. When we were ready to contract with Ace, they were able to schedule the work quickly. Now we just wait for the product they installed to kill off the termites!

Scratch one hornet nest. About 25 dead hornets when finished, not counting the larva. You just can't beat experience. Forget the national franchises (the ones whose name begins with the letters "T", "S", or "O"). Ace is locally owned in the Cincinnati area and has been in business for several decades. We purchased through angies list and they did the work but we decided to cancel after our agreement was up. They kept calling and send us renewals. I've spoken with several people about canceling and even sent in a cancelation letter and thought that was the end of it. One person tried to tell me that they were just at our house because of a rat problem. Unbelievably, We get another renewal bill in the mail today. Seems like its a big corporation racket using hard sell tactics and use automatic renewals to keep you on the hook. Wish they would leave us alone.

We went through the entire summer without any ant issues.

Jeff was extremely professional he always showed up on time and took his time explaining the process and ways to prevent the mice from returning. He realized how much this issue had affected our quality of life at home and made sure to take out the time to throughly explain and perform his inspections.

The man came out on 6/23/18 and set traps in and outside the house and left black boxes which would lure the mice in to eat the poison. He strongly recommended that I but the the 3 visit package instead of just coming once. I was concerned that I would have to remove any dead mice and he assured me he would do that. I paid $294 for 3 visits. He did not return after that. I travel a lot for business and also it was summer and I was away for 6 weeks. I have documents that confirm that I was away in and out of Cinn for most of the summer months and then Sept/ Oct/ Nov business trips. He did call 2x and left messages for me to set up a time to come out. I did not see any mice so I thought the problem was resolved. Las t week, there was a terrible smell in the Kitchen and I found one of the black boxes had a dead mice, There was also a dead mice beside the refrigerator. My dishwasher had to be repaired (I have a receipt) and the worker pulled it out and there were mice droppings. I also found 2 dead mice out near the garage. I also heard mice in the walls in the living room I called ACE today to ask that he come out and told the manager the service person had only come out once. She said her records showed that he had also come out on 6/25 and another time in July 2018. He did not come out on either of these dates and I am the only person living in the house. I told her this and she said it had been 9 months since the first service and why had I waited so long to call. I explained that I had not seen any evidence of mice until last week and didn't think it was urgent - and I had been traveling a lot. She disputed the fact that When I told her he had only come out once and I had paid for 3 services. She was very rude and said if I wanted him to come out now I would have to pay for it and that he HAD come out 3 times. That is completely wrong he came only once. Thank you Rosemary Ritter

The company wouldn't honor the sealing of cracks up beyond stuffing a few holes even though it listed using foam as an option. The ONLY reason we hired a company was to do that (we were already catching mice via traps ourselves.) We called them and Angie's list to try to get the issue resolved with no resolution so we had to do it ourselves. They were also scheduled (verbally) to follow up and check traps on a certain morning. I canceled my children's plans to be home and no one showed up. The men who actually showed up seemed to be polite and friendly.

After contacting Ace Exterminating, a representative (Tom) arrived the same day. an initial inspection and treatment was completed, and Tom returned for treatment the following week. Although a few wasps remained, the problem was greatly reduced. Ace was truly concerned of our problem at the school and it was comforting for our student body to see hundreds of wasps being reduced to only a few stragglers. We are greatly appreciative of Ace Exterminating's service.

Wonderfully. Very professional, great communication, provided options and annual plans but did not push any of these on us. Would highly recommend.

The company was very prompt with their service. To get rid of miles they come by once a week for four weeks. I haven’t noticed any new “runs.” They also guarantee the service for a year. I’m looking forward to having my yard look nice again just in time for it to get covered by leaves.

Dwight was very knowledgeable about what chemicals to use and when to get rid of our flee infestation. We have 3 cats, a dog, a guinea pig, a tortoise, 2 fish, and a hermit crab. We had to get all of them out of the house (as well as ourselves) for 3 hours after the application. That was a pain, but necessary. I had tried to get rid of them myself for a few weeks using spray and bombs I bought at Lowes, but kept seeing flees jumping and crawling in the carpet and on my cats and dog. We use Ace on a quarterly basis for maintenance and very rarely see any bugs. We tend to see a few centipedes and spiders if we don't have a regular service. Dwight has been our service provider for about a year and is very professional and thorough. There responsiveness is great as well. We will have 2 follow up treatments which are 2 weeks apart. The first application is $120, and the 2 follow ups are $88/each for our 4800 sf Mason home. Our cats are all indoor only cats and our dog takes Sentinal, so I don't know how we got the flees, but now the cats are also on flee/tick meds. You DO NOT want to get a flee infestation! It's almost as bad as bed bugs because of the full life cycle. It takes sometimes months to completely get rid of them, and you need to wash everything in your house and vacuum very often (including sofas/cushions, drapes, etc. The only good way to prevent it is to give your pets whatever prevention meds your vet recommends. Apparently flees are really bad this year so be proactive.

We've lived in our home for twenty years with no moles but for some reason, this year we were invaded by moles who were on a mission to destroy much of our landscape. We searched the list and found a deal with Ace, so we contracted with them... Not much else to say other than Ace showed up four weeks in a row, placed their mole baits in the tunnels, and since then, we have had no more moles!

These guys are very Professional and get the job done. Tom was supper nice to talk to and help us figure out what to do. Probably was driving him crazy calling him with questions and he never got upset and always responded back quickly. Joe the technician that came was a super nice guy as well, very professional! Made us feel very comfortable while here and very nice to talk to explaining everything he was going to do and what to expect. We felt like he went above and beyond! We would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing service for Pest of any Sort. They make you feel comfortable in your home again.

Great! They responded within a couple of hours, even though it was a Saturday afternoon. We scheduled the system install and they arrived promptly and completed the job in the expected amount of time.
