These are very fine people - a family - that owns/operates the business. I believe they are good hearted and honest. They had a project manager who handled our job including all dealings with and approvals from adjuster, he bid our requested work, supervised it. The person left their employ without notice to us and I think even notice to them, and our job was unfinished plus the last work done under his care was not supervised per our agreement with him. He had held a signed blank check for many months to pay incrementally as he went along, because we travelled for work. He did not contact me as agreed to run payments thru. We were presented with a $21,000 bill for services, including work which the project manager had said was insurance approved and covered. I paid $15,000 immediately as I had contacted them about the bill. NOTE that at the same time, it had come to light that workers left a small old chest freezer unplugged, ruining it and contents. The owners immediately and very willingly replaced with a comparable new unit. They also handled about 3 small incomplete items with their new project manager. We have been without any income for over two years and CAN'T currently pay the balance but still are trying to figure out with the insurance company what exactly has happened here so that we can go back to the company and close things out. Appliances purchased were well priced. Installation was less than perfect and a stainless steel double wall oven was dented, island cooktop installation was pretty cobbled but it's a matter of construction. I think this will end well overall and I certainly would do business with them again, based on the owners personally. Pros: high end appliances, etc. and best local prices. The family that owns the business are very fine folks. Cons: could use an actual contractor on staff for installations.
Description of Work: Following major lightning strike, full inspection and repair of entire electrical system and appliances/light fixtures replacement under insurance coverage. Installation of some additional lighting/electrical service work was contracted for a price of $13,000 total.
