I called Bob after using his company multiple times in the past since I was aware of his dependability. I explained the problem which was a leaking toilet at a rental house. Not only did he correct the problem in a very timely manner, he spoke to the upset tenant and was able to assure her that he would correct the problem. His crew repaired the leaking toilet, and installed a new shut off to make certain future problems wouldn't occur. It's reassuring to know that you call someone that makes certain, that not only is the issue corrected, but corrected on the first visit.

Called McHugh's on a Monday morning for a leaking water heater. Bob McHugh answered and was able to make a diagnosis that afternoon and provide a quote. We upgraded from a 40-gal to 50-gal water heater and his quote was spot-on. His team was on-site the next morning and replaced the water heater in under 3 hours. He was responsive, kept me updated on arrival times, and his team completed the work within the time window provided. Service was prompt, professional, and without mess or fuss. I received a phone call a few hours after the service call to ensure things were running smoothly. Very professional all around. Would highly recommend.

They came out the same day I called. Fixed toilet. Tried to install shut off valve, but involved major unanticipated work due to the non standard way the toilet was installed by a previous plumber. At least now we know what we may face if we have to have the valve installed.

It was excellent. They did a very nice job here. We've had them a couple of times and every time they've done good work for us. What they did was fairly priced. They were here right on the dot when they said they would be. Very courteous and professional. They cleaned up after themselves. There was nothing for us to do after they left.

Bob McHugh called me back from his vacation location. He sent his guy over that afternoon. The installer (Greg) was professional, skilled, and personable. The cost seemed a little high to me ($1,200), but then the unit was top quality and I didn't really shop around much so maybe not a bad price - I don't know. Overall a good experience. Would recommend.

I called on Monday morning and made an appointment for a few days later since it wasn't an emergency. They gave me a "between 1 and 3" time slot. I was called a little bit after 1 pm with a more precise time and two plumbers showed up exactly as they said. They were very friendly, listened to the problem, gave me a price and completed the work very quickly. Before leaving they asked if there was anything else I needed done that day and reminded me that my service call fee was good for 30 days. The next day I received a follow up phone call to see if everything was to my satisfaction. I plan to use them for any future issues that I might have and recommend them highly.

We were thrilled! Bob's professionalism and responsiveness are awesome. He explained exactly what would be done as well as the costs and why (i.e., the holiday weekend). He gave us the alternative of having the work done during the following week at a lower cost. His employee was equally as good. The young man explained everything that he was doing and was very careful and neat. He had another emergency as well, was looking forward to the holiday weekend, and still did such a nice job for us. After the work was done, Bob made a follow-up call to us even though he was still on vacation with his family. That's customer service! We also appreciated the option of paying with cash for a discount over a credit card charge. We highly recommend McHugh's Plumbing and plan to use them again.

This company is awesome. I had called them in the morning and explained to them how another plumber had come the day before and couldn't open the drain. In fact, that plumber told me that he will have to rip open walls in my finished basement to replace the pipes. When I called McHugh's, the lady I spoke politely listened to me, took my information down and promised to discuss my situation with the owner before committing anything. She called back later in the day and scheduled someone to come to take a look. Tom and another of their crew member came. They were polite and courteous. They opened the drain within 45 mins or so. Price was a little too steep, but I didn't mind because I was ready to spend thousands of dollars with the other company to rip open the finished basement to replace the pipes. Thanks, Tom McHugh! You're awesome.

Excellent service and professionalism. I had contacted McHugh's for the replacement of my water heater. Upon inspection, they discovered a very legitimate safety issue. I appreciated their honesty and the willingness to address the issue while repairing the heater. They were punctual, polite, and did exactly what was promised at the price that was given, despite the additional work needed. Would definitely use them again and would definitely recommend McHugh's to others.

There was a okay, it was a little bit lacking on the communication side of things. The job was done appropriately but they just seem to take a while to do it. They had to take out the old tub. There was cracks in it that they thought was leading to a leak so they took everything down to the stud line, just that kind of half the bathroom. Then they refilled the plumbing. Then I had a tile guy come in and they finished the surface areas. When they first came in to look at the problem, I thought they were very up front with me. I didn't feel like I was being, They came in and said I think this is the problem, had some confidence about it. Where as a couple people I had in there before where like it could be this, could be this, could be this. So they seemed more confident about diagnosing the problem and from there we were able to move on.

All great work, neat job, left no mess.
