Bob's employee was running late, but he called to advise me, and then came himself when his worker was still tied up with the other job. He was polite and professional, he explained the parts he replaced and where the potential problems could be if the leak didn't improve. He provided a website where we could shop for a new toilet in the event we want to replace the old one. He did fix the leak about 90%, which seemed pretty good for a toilet this age. Price reflects discount and seems reasonable.

Great company with which to work. Rapid reply to my initial telephone message, quick appointment, prompt arrival, good/clean/fast work. All were friendly and accommodating.

It was excellent. The owner came out the first time, and had to order a part. He sent one of his employees to do most of the work. We have no complaints. Both were very responsive. He was up front with us about pricing. They were very professional.

They did a very good job, but one of the toilets required a small adjustment that I made while on the phone, guided by Bob. They positioned the cost of the repairs to the existing toilets to be about 65% of the cost of new toilets. Given that the existing toilets were older, and the new toilets are very high quality, they incented us to purchase new toilets. They could have been better organized, as we never received an invoice or receipt and it took close to two months to charge our Visa. Also, they had to retrieve an owner's manual for us.

Generally I was satisfied with the work McHugh's performed. However, Mr. McHugh was late a couple of times and then it took a few weeks to schedule the drain service. The quality of the job was good and the drain runs fine now however.

Bob was testy and arrogant from the start. Bob charged $75/hr./man to perform diagnosis. Mike was very diligent but Tom lacked expertise, resisted work. After cutting a hole in the main wall to check lines, they tried vacuuming a string through a pipe, unsuccessfully. Bob demanded payment after the diagnosis and refused more work, though they had not completed anything tangible. The men did not clean up their mess (left a large hole in the main wall and a drywall mess on the floor), they did not even reconnect the water lines that they disconnected (I had no water) and they left pipes sticking out past the drywall. They did what was most convenient for them, not what was best for the customer. Bob and I discussed payment arrangements, but he was still pushy even though the payment schedule was on track and there was a month of work to do. Bob threatened to increase his charge by $800. Bob was very unprofessional. I paid on schedule and Bob added $109 service charge($89 w/Discount).

Extremely knowledgeable and professional and pleasant. Worked quickly and quietly. Would definitely recommend to others and hire for ourselves without hesitation.

Our experience with McHugh's has always been positive. They respond promptly and their prices are fair. Bob always calls after a job to make sure we are satisfied. We have recommended McHugh's to several friends.

Bob installed all the plumbing during the remodel. He brought me catalogs, from which to choose and gave me good advice about the hardware. He communicated well with the general contractor and brought a team of 3, on the day of the install. They finished the job in 2 hours. They were quick, efficient and friendly. This was the second time, I've used this company and plan to call them again, for our final bathroom remodel upstairs.

My call to Bob McHugh was returned immediately. Since it wasn't an emergency, we set a date several days away. That day, they were running late and Bob called me well ahead of the time I expected them. Even so, Joe was at my house within 45 minutes. Joe was friendly, neatly dressed, willing to explain my options and let me make my own choice. Joe was very personable and discussed the other flood related problems he'd encountered. He also checked out a possible future problem, explained my options, gave an idea of what it would cost, and suggested I call my city building department to see if I could leave the situation as is.

He was very professional. The quality was excellent. Very pleasant.

Bob kept our appointment and was able to do the work that day. He gave an estimate and performed the work within that estimate. He insisted that the drain pipe should be viewed with a drain camera although there was no evidence of blockage. I think this was an unnecessary extra $100 charge. Aside from that, I though his charges were a bit high (4 hours work, under $100 parts). He cleaned up after completing his work.

Very good. Pleasant. They got there fast. He was very testy and he didn't like me standing around him. He said that i would have to remove the entire tub to solve the leak problem. I checked with an inspector and other companies and found that it was a tile/ grout repair issue that would not require the tub to be removed. He was professional, but it seemed like his analysis was wrong and would have definitely cost me a lot more money.

I was very happy with the service and the professionalism that they showed. I am a new homeowner and they were very understanding that I wanted to know what was happening and what he was doing, he explained everything to me in a way that I would understand.

Absolutely the best! Give this company another award. I called this morning because we have out of town company and Bob set something up for us this morning. Joe came in, spent time researching the problem and fixed it and was an absolute pleasure to work with. In the past, whatever they have fixed, has never broken again. They are the BEST!!! Call them!

Mr. McHugh returned my phone call in a very short time. He worked our appointment in to his already filled schedule to allow someone to be at our home when they came. Mr. McHugh discovered we were Angie's List subscribers and gave us a $20 discount so the final bill came to $142. This is the 4th time we have used McHugh's plumbing and have been very pleased with their work each time.

They were on time and called before they came. They were professional, very courteous, and efficient. I wish I had more work for them to do.

Even though this service call was shortly after major flooding in the area and close to the July 4th holiday, Bob McHugh returned my call promptly. We agreed on a date/time for service. He confirmed via phone and kept me up-to-date on his expected time of arrival on the date of service. All work was done very professionally. All downspouts were re-assembled and fastened with sheet metal screws. The fee for the work was reasonable and helped diagnose the likely cause of water entering the basement. (A backup in the city storm water system, not a failure of my downspout system.)

I called them to come out and fix the stopper which would not stay down. He noticed the shower head had build up and quoted a price to replace the shower head. He was honest and I've referred him to friends.

I had made my first appt over a week in advance because of my work schedule. The day of the appt, Bob called several times to verify and let me know whether he would be on time. As it was, he ran a little late, but that did not matter to me (however, I rated punctuality a 'B' only because some people who schedule a 1:00 appt might expect it to begin at 1:00). He was very polite and knowledgeable. He said he would come on Tuesday to install the new faucet. When something came up, he asked if he could send one of his guys, Joe, instead. That was fine. Joe was equally polite and did a great job, and cleaned up everything after himself. He was very efficient....Both experiences were excellent. I rated the price a 'B,' because there was a flat rate for installing the faucet, and if you were to figure out an hourly rate from the job, it would be rather high, I thought. But, I'm sure I would have had paid much more had I called plumbers I've used in the past.

We were very pleased with McHugh's Plumbing. This is the second time we have used their service. They returned my call promptly and came at the time they promised.

They were great. They could have come out earlier, but were happy to work with my schedule. They showed up early, did the work promptly and quickly, and everything's been great since. Bob also advised me that one of my faucets was under recall for a defective part and that he could order the replacement, have it delivered to my home and do the replacement.

Gave a free estimate within several days. Showed up on time when agreed and performed work quickly, minimizing water off time. Labeled valves and left the job tidy and neat.
