We needed to cancel Bob because our electricity was out. He couldn't have been nicer, calling daily to see how we were doing. His work is neat and clean. The area was spotless when he finished. I would definitely recommend him to a friend.

We had hot water rushing out of a faulty pressure valve we called Bob after checking the list and seeing his business had the most positive feedback in the category. (Bob had actually been hired by the previous owners of our house for an unrelated issue, so we had met him before.) Bob called me back in minutes, which was great because I had put a call into the man that installed the water line and he didn't return the call. Bob and his colleague worked fast, were polite, and the price was very reasonable. Bob actually remembered from a visit to our house a couple of years ago that we wanted to add an outside spigot to the house. They gave us a great price and did the work on the spot quickly. They were polite, cleaned up after themselves and I would recommend his business without hesitation.

I think they are very responsive. They are very neat and clean. They were pleasant to have in the house. They have fair prices. We have used them several times.

My experience with him was very good. He was here on time and he did what he said he was going to do. The price was reasonable. I had a problem with some roots blocking the drain and he took care of that. I accidental over paid five dollars and he came back and informed me. I was impressed with him. I would use him again.

We had the plumber that we called from your service. He tried the same things we did. He told us something must be plugged in the inside of the toilet and the only thing we could do was replace. He said he had one in his truck and if we wanted it he would not charge us for the service call. He said it was a "toto" toilet which was the top of the line ($635) we felt at that time we had no choice but to replace it. Had we known (through our ignorance) we could have gotten a toilet from a hardware store for $150 we would have gone in that direction. Well we have had this toilet for a few months now and I hate it. It does not flush properly (if you know what I mean) so if we are supposed to be saving money by the small amount of water we use when flushing (that is a big mistake) we usually have to flush it a few times (and please don't use too much toilet paper) or it clogs and we have to plunge it. Now I know we should be greatful that he came when he said he would and he did what he was supposed to do, but really we are not very satisfied considering the price. What do you think?

Bob was honest upfront about his pricing. After he looked at the drain, he fully explained to me what was causing the problems and how the overall drainage system worked. He was friendly, polite and very professional. After the first rain, he called to make sure the drain was functioning properly. Overall, a good experience.

We discovered on a Friday night that the kitchen sink was clogged - liquid plumber didn't fix it after letting sit overnight. Deciding Saturday morning to check out the pipe in the crawlspace before calling a plumber, I discovered a far worse problem, the main septic line was blocked. I called Bob McHugh; he was on another job but said he would come by. He came by the time he promised. It was hot and he had only an hour before he had to go to two weddings. He investigated the problem and attempted to snake the septic line but discovered that the easily available clean-out access was not the one he needed. Doing everything he could within the hour, he honestly offered two options: I could call another plumber or he could come back Monday (Sunday was Father's Day). I said I'd stick with him and wait until Monday afternoon after he finished a previously scheduled job. Bob showed up at the promised time worked a not too easy problem until the septic line was clear. He repaired a piece of pipe he had broken at no charge. Then he tackled the kitchen sink drain that we learned when he went to replace it that it had about 50 years worth of blockage along 15 feet!

They did an excellent job. They were very timely and were able to work with me the day after the countertops were installed on a Saturday morning. Bob Mchugh, the owner, is very responsive and I will use McHugh's Plumbing again when needed.

They were fantastic! I cant say enough good things about these people. It was a weekend, and we were calling anybody-everybody to get them out. The people we got came out Sunday, after they replaced the part. We got our gas back on on Sunday night. They were accomodating and they were outstanding! They were just very caring and nice people.

Bob was professional and responded quickly to my calls. He was helpful in advising me during my bathroom remodel. My main complaint is that I felt his prices were quite high for the work that was performed. I was not entirely happy with the details of the work either. My toilet flange wasn't quite installed parallel to the wall (so the gap behind my toilet is uneven), and the lead was bent over the bolt holes (so I had to do some chiseling of the lead to make everything fit).

The experience went very well. Their were two people here so they were quick and they were prompt. They were very clean and they cleaned up any mess that they made afterwards. I would use them again and recommend them in the future.

Very prompt response, same day service, called 45 minutes prior to coming to confirm. Joe was very professional, explained plumbing issues, provided options about upgrading my set up to make it up to code. Also provided estimates about a couple other projects we are considering.. There is an Angie's List discount on the service call fee.
