I contacted McHugh's based on the number of reviews. I couldn't leave a voice-mail because the voice-mail box was full. The owner called back a short time later and said that he was busy. I texted him what I needed, and he never responded. When I followed up to inquire he said that he was too busy.

Bob, the owner, did the work himself. Very conscientious and knowledgeable. He was a bit delayed getting here but we were totally cool with that as kept us in the loop with phone calls about an emergency repair he was on first and updated us with ETA's. We know to be avail for full day when it comes to plumbers, electricians, cable, etc. so it was no problem when he got here a bit later and he did the important work right away. We will be using him and company again for other plumbing jobs next week and have quotes in hand for toilet down the road. Would definitely recommend him based on my experiences so far.

Great! The minute I hit send to request quotes, Bob McHugh from McHughs Plumbing called me at 8:15am on a Saturday morning. He asked for info on what exactly the problem was, then explained in detail what they would do and why, and how hot water tank repairs worked. I was impressed and he scheduled the service call for THAT day around noon. Plumber was actually able to come earlier, went right to work checking out tank, and water pressure indoors & out. The TPR valve was replaced in a quick & efficient manner. The plumber, Anthony, followed Covid-19 guidelines, was courteous and cleaned up afterwards. Later, Bob McHugh called to thank me for my business, & he would check up on the repair! Great job, service & price. I will definitely use again.

It went great...from the minute I put in the request!!! I received a call back immediately and scheduled a time to come out. The guys were very polite and knowledgeable. Matt explained everything very well and the job was completed and all cleaned up on a timer manner!! I will definitely be using these guys again😊

Great. Bob came out the same day and gave us an estimate. The water heater was replaced before noon the next day. The price was fair and the work was done right. We are very happy and we have hot water now!

Work went very well. Everything was replaced and the team cleaned up after themselves very well. Everything looks very professionally done.

Job was completed in the utmost professional manner. Bob and associate were on timeline that he stated. Job was quoted at price, but job turned out to be much easier than expected. Price was adjusted. Bob also found that my flapper in the toilet tank was crumbling and replaced it at a reasonable cost. They took care to keep the inside of my home clean from outside weather by wearing shoe booties or removing there shoes. Did a fabulous job of cleaning up when job was completed. Would hire Bob McHughes for future jobs.

Bob's crew came out promptly on a Saturday and took care of the problem. Also will follow up on possible tree roots in drain. Very professional!

McHugh tech Anthony worked through issues and kept me appraised of how the job was proceeding. Piping looks and works beautifully. No more drainage issues anymore and water pressure is no longer a problem. This is the second job I've called upon McHugh to handle and once again the work was excellent and the price was reasonable for what was done. Total cost about $1,100.00.

McHugh’s Plumbing is the best in the business for basic and the most complex prompt plumbing work at a fair and reasonable price. We have used McHugh’s Plumbing for several years on the complex plumbing problems that can happen with an older house. We have been able to relax on plumbing issues (focus on other things rather than plumbing) because of McHugh’s saving the day with reliable outstanding and efficient results at a fair and reasonable price. McHugh's is a family business where all of their staff are seasoned with years of experience on all plumbing with outstanding capabilities. They do things the right way every time. For them, the most complex plumbing challenge is basic and routine.

My old water heater gave out on me late yesterday (12/23/19). The tank was leaking water profusely and the timing of the breakdown was pretty bad with just a couple days before Christmas. I was extremely fortunate enough to find McHugh's Plumbing through Angie's List. Bob McHugh was able to get me in on Saturday (day before Christmas) and tank was installed before noon. Craig and Greg did a great install and were very quick and thorough. They explained the tank settings and were very courteous. Beyond happy with the results. I would heartily recommend McHugh. Thanks so much, appreciate the effort that was above and beyond.

We recently hired Bob and his team to run a new gas line and install a gas log insert into our existing fireplace. Bob came out to get an estimate and came up with a plan that worked really well for our old Cleveland Height house. Greg and Craig came out this week to do the installation. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and we are so happy to finally enjoy our fireplace. Additionally, its excellent to know that we have plumbers that we can trust.

We have used Bob and his team for over 20 years since we moved back to Cleveland. We have since owned two old houses, one in Cleveland Heights and now in Shaker Heights. He has done extensive work on both and we couldn't be happier. I have seen people in many forums ask for a good and cheap plumber. Bob's prices have always been fair. I would never recommend a "cheap" plumber because in my opinion you will probably be hiring another plumber to do it right. Call Bob first.

The source of the leak was identified and repaired. The work required was minimal given what I thought might need to be done. Very honest and reasonable cost. I would definitely use his services again and refer McHugh`s to whomever would need plumbing services.

We've used McHugh's plumbing for a number of jobs over the last five years. The quality of work had always been excellent. Once a tenant called us after picking the toilet. They'd already called their own plumber who couldn't get it unblocked and was proposing more substantial work. Bob quickly responded, gave us a quote that was substantially lower than the first plumber, and had the toilet cleared the next morning. On another job we needed a drain pipe replaced in the kitchen ceiling. His team did the work quickly and arranged for a plasterer, familiar with old Shaker houses, to patch the ceiling and walls. After a couple of coats of paint, you wouldn't know they'd been there. Needless to say, if we have a plumbing emergency, McHugh is our first call!

It went great! They found the parts I needed to repair my wash tub at a really reasonable price. They are very personable and friendly and I would highly recommend them.

McHugh's was a pleasure to work with. Bob, the owner, quickly responded to my request for a quote. His quote was SIGNIFICANTLY less than a couple of other companies I contacted. There was no sales pitch; Bob knew exactly what needed to be done, and priced the job accordingly. He sent one of his plumbers, Anthony, to do the work. Anthony was on time, and took great care to cover all work surfaces, and keep the double vanity clean while he replaced the two faucets in the master bathroom. When he was finished, he cleaned the work area, and took everything to be disposed of to his truck. Very quick and very professional. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the work, and would use them again.

Very rarely do I use the word exquisite for work performed at my home. The work done by Bob McHugh and several of his employees was top notch and indeed exquisite. They were all very polite and meticulous. It was a complicated job because of the age of the home, the size of the new tub to be installed and back to back bathrooms. I wanted to maintain copper supply lines throughout the project (going from a single vanity to a double) and of the 5 quotes I received, Bob was the only one that figured out an elegant way to do this behind the walls. And as a side note since the bathroom was partially demoed at the time Bob first visited, he was the only contractor that fully inspected what was behind the walls to gather the info needed to do the job to our satisfaction.
