Steve was friendly, informative and professional. Described the problem and how he and his coworker was going to solve it. The owner of the company also contacted me by phone before services were rendered (something I appreciated). Though pricey (and a bit higher than quoted), the company does excellent work. Very happy and will use them again.

The nitty gritty: - 11 PM - give up tryng to fix old PVC pipes under sink - 10 AM - call McHugh's from work to see if they can come out, they say they wll se what they can do - 10:15 AM - McHugh's says they can come out in the afternoon, wll give me ehads up so i can get home from work missing as little time as possible - 2 PM - McHugh's calls, says they will be there in around half an hour - 2:40 PM - McHugh's arrives - 3:45 PM - McHugh's leaves, I have a working kitchen sink Could I have gotten it done cheaper? could i have done it myself? I have no clue. What I know is - they answered when i called, they respected my time, they worked with me, they came promptly when promised, they got the job done quickly and well.

Bob is very responsive and stays in communication. We had to reschedule a couple of times due to heavy rains and an excess of emergency calls for Bob's services. Bob came out and gave a competitive bid, and scheduled the work in a timely fashion. His crew arrived on time and completed the work professionally. I would use McHugh's Plumbing again.

We are selling our house using a relocation company which is is quickly becoming a pain!! Bob was a pleasure to deal with and was great about keeping contact with me, even when he was going to be a little later than planned. We called McHughe's because the inspection company used by our relo company insisted that we get an unnecessary vent pipe installed on a bathtub installed in the 1950's. Bob explained why this wouldn't be necessary and was willing to write up an invoice explaining his opinion. In the end, our relocation company accepted his professional opinion, saving us hundreds of dollars. It was nice to know that instead of just taking a job which we were told we were "required" to do (by relo co), Bob was honest and didn't take the job!! We would definitely recommend McHughes!!

Bob has an assistant that handles all scheduling which is great because when you call someone it is always good to talk to someone instead of their machine. He came out to do an estimate but when asked if he could complete the work the same day (a Saturday), he made some scheduling adjustments and came back to complete the job. Work was completed fast and I am very satisfied with the results. I will definitely use him again.

Called McHugh's Plumbing to make an appointment for service, which was then scheduled. Bob and Jason arrived on schedule and successfully completed the required work. The work was of excellent quality and all employees were very professional.

Three weeks ago, we noticed there was water around our sump pump. We got a restoration company to come out and clean up, but when he shook the sump pump, it turned on. (meaning it was off before). When the restoration company came back, the same thing happened. I have talked to McHugh's & they sent someone out to look at it, but no one has yet to call or come out.

After we complained about the drain not working they came out to replace it at no additional charge. We have used their service multiple times over the past year.

When they came out it was just for a leak in the bath room and a leak under the kitchen sink but they found other problems and explained them to my satisfaction and fixed all the the problems to our satisfaction.Very pleased with their work will call them again if we have another problem.

They came on time, they were quite courtesy. They were very clean. They also were willing to explain everything and very accommodating, and they are also willing to check back back to make sure that their work was done properly.

We noticed our sump pump continuously running (wouldn't shut off) Assumed it was a bad pump. Bob was there on a Saturday to check things out. Initially they tried to snake the pipes assuming it was clogged however they discovered the tiles/pipes on the outside of the house had been busted and were obviously clogged/not functioning properly. Took us a few weeks to get the repair done due to the frozen ground but once they were able to dig they repaired the pipes and fixed our problem. Were very happy with their work, would definitely use them again.

Great - they showed up on time, were very curteous and professional, finished quickly, and did a great job!

He fixed the leak and then I had him do some extra work. At the time, I thought the charges were high. A week later the leak came back. I called and he never returned my call or responded to voicemail. I called from my cell phone and few days later and he answered right away. I would not use him again.

The work was done most efficiently as promised. We received detailed information about the water tank in a friendly and concise manner. We will most definitely use McHugh's Plumbing again in the future.

I had tried to replace the toilet flush valve and it leaked water onto the bathroom floor. I needed to have this work done professionally and I called Bob McHugh. He came out on time and the work was promptly completed. I would definitely recommend him. I will call him again when plumbing work is needed.

I think I got their information from Angie's list. I thought he was pricy but he was on time and he did a good job. He did try to follow up and come back. He was very cutup. I would recommend them. I think it was his son that he sent because his wife was having surgery or something. He was very thorough and cared a great deal but he did a good job and he tried to follow up. Frankly I think he is really expensive. I would call him again because I thought he cared a good bit. I thought it was way out of the ballpark. He just had to remove the toilet and redo the seal. Then put the snake down and snaked it up. That was all from the outside snake line from the axis port outside the house. He tends to keep following up to make sure everything else was alright to extension that all for two or three months within the square to correct that afterwards. They were thoughtful about having these covers on the shoes when they came in, thoughtful of the property and they were respectful. They were nice workmen. They were clean cut looking and pleasant.

They were very good. I felt like the person who owns the company was very straight forward and could diagnose the problem. I had two other people come look and see what the problem was and gave me the wrong diagnosis. Mc Hugh's Plumbing Inc actually figured out what the problem was. I had a few people that came out and fixed it and they were very professional and did it. It wasn't a huge job but they got it done in a day and there was a clog drain and they worked a way of cleaning it out. The price wasn't cheap, but it was worth it because me and my wife didn't know what they were doing.

It was excellent. He came out as an emergency the night that it broke. We chose them because we've used them before so my husband had his name and number right there and he was able to come out in an emergency call that same night.

On March 4th, around 4:00 PM, we were surprised by the sound of gushing water, coming from a burst pipe. When we figured out that the leak involved the outside faucet line, we turned off the water to the whole house, not being able to find the cut-off valve. We called McHugh's Plumbing with our emergency, and were quietly assured by the secretary that we would get a call from Bob within the next 15 minutes. Bob called within 10 minutes, and told us that, in spite of being busy with many jobs just like ours caused by the extreme cold weather, he knew it was an emergency and that he would be out to the house within the next 30 minutes. He came, found the cut-off valve, took time to explain the problem, wrote up an estimate, and set a date for March 11 at 9:00 AM to do the repairs. On March 11, at 9:00 AM, we got a call from the secretary saying that the crew would be coming at 9:30. Two very pleasant young men came to the door at 9:30, and began the repairs. Bob eventually came to oversee and complete the project, which took 2 hours. The basement was clean when they left, and they all wore booties to keep from dirtying the basement steps and carpeting. Although having to pay out for housing repairs is never fun, it is worth the money when the work is completed thoroughly and professionally, as Bob and his crew did. We also appreciate the little extras that they put into the job to secure our plumbing for years to come. We recommend McHugh's Plumbing without hesitation. UPDATE: On April 6th, we went to use the outside faucet which Bob had replaced, and it was leaking! We called the morning of April 7th, Bob came over the same day, and replaced the leaking fixture. He showed us where the brand new part had split. We are satisfied with Bob's quick response and solution to the problem with work he had done a month earlier.

I’m sure the price was reasonable. He didn’t take advantage of me or anything. My interaction with him was excellent. He was just very nice and very professional. I even called him back to do some extra things and I’m going to call him again for some other work I needed done.

He is great! Very clean and exceptional. I am very picky about my marble and hardwood floors and he took extra precaution to make sure the floors were covered to protect them.

Bob was the only plumber to call me back after trying 4 others. Bob and his team did an excellent job; they were fast and efficient. While they did get delayed in coming due to other jobs, I was contacted by Bob right away and was assured I would be the next stop. 15 minutes after they arrived, the pipe had been repaired, and my water was back on and working.

Mchugh's has been very attentive, calling 3 times to be sure everything was going well. I will definitely use them again!
