Max Dill Construction

We had a contract for windows installation in April 2018. We gave them a sizeable deposit. In August we were told they weren't able to do the job. They acknowledged that we were owed the deposit refunded. We never got it. Took them to small claims court and won judgement against them, they were ordered to pay us. It is now Feb.,2019. We are STILL WAITING for our refund! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with Shannon Lake Construction or their owners, Max Dill and Richard Dill of Chardon, Ohio I believe I was scammed. BEWARE

We were told the deck would be installed 2 weeks after signing the contract and giving him a $2000 down payment for materials. Some rain came for a couple weeks and delayed the job. After 2 weeks though we still hadn't heard from him. 2 weeks eventually turned into 13 weeks, and we still didn't have a deck. We found out he had been taking other contracts instead of finishing our deck. We were eventually able to get the deposit back, but we had to go for 13 weeks of the summer without having our deck. After the fact we found out he never filed plans with the city and never got the building permit.
