Description of Work: Contacted Pau to look at a leaky shower faucet we wanted replaced. He said he wouldn't be able to come by until the next day. Later in the day of my initial contact he called and said he could come by then. After looking at the faucet and seeing what we wanted he called his supplier to see if they had it and to get a price. They had it, we agreed to the price, he picked it up and put in the new faucet the same day.

He was very pleasant and provided lots of useful information (important to a relatively new homeowner!) without making me feel stupid. This was our second time calling him and we'll certainly do so again for future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: He fixed a dripping bathtub by replacing the cartridge. He also sealed the wall plate for the shower control with caulk and helped me determine where to shut off the outside faucets for the winter.

+ -1 moreThe 34 year old tub/shower valve was stuck in the bathtub fixture and we imagined expensive repairs behind the wall. I found Werle Plumbing on Angie's List and called and Mr. Werle answered the phone. Described the problem and he and his assistant came out the next day. He had the part needed to replace the defective valve and it is working like new. He caulked around the tub fixture where it was needed. His assistant noticed two faucets that were dripping slightly and repaired them for us. We plan to have Mr. Werle out in the near future to do some installation work as we fix up our home.
Description of Work: Repair shower valve in main bathroom. Repair two leaky faucets.

+ -1 moreThe service appointment was for 8:30 am but they were here around 8:15 am and promptly went to work. Two men came one removed and installed the garbage disposal and the other one removed and installed the water heater. It took about 2 hours to do both jobs.

He removed/sawed off broken handle without damaging rest of fixture, advised what we needed to purchase to replace (quick fix for husband), and reviewed some other caulking work in other shower and advised on best repair method. Very helpful, professional and great value for money.

+ 0 moreThey showed up the same day which was nice - can't live without hot water for too long! They were careful when bringing the replacement unit down to the basement and when taking the old one out. There were 2 marks on the stairwell but given how heavy the old unit was (75 gal.) it was a nice job. He did a couple of extra things like using the union I had and adjusting the old vent so it would work on the new unit. This was nice. Overall a good job and very timely. The cost was as quoted but still not cheap. Given it took over 2.5 hours, I guess it was reasonable but I am "cost conscious"!
Description of Work: My hot water tank was leaking and needed to be replaced. I already had a newer tank so the cost was labor and supplies.

+ 1 moreI gave the job to McHugh's & am completely happy.
Description of Work: Whoever got this guy on the List should have their membership revoked! He tried to talk me out the jobs I wanted done (replacing an outdated sink, snaking a drain, replacing a water heater) and tried to talk me into jobs I wanted nothing to do with (replacing the drum trap, leaving the old sink, etc). Furthermore, he wouldn't give me an estimate on the work because 'all the jobs could lead to bigger projects (as in, if something went wrong)' so he would only tell me that he charges $120 hr for 2 guys. I have always used McHugh's Plumbing (also on the List, & deservedly so!) but every now & then check for new companies. I called McHugh's after this joke of a plumber left. Bob came out a couple of days later, told me there was no reason to replace the drum trap because he'd snaked hundreds like it in Shaker (Werle's told me he wouldn't recommend doing it). He also diagnosed the hot water tank correctly (the hot and cold water lines were installed backward), as opposed to Werle's who just didn't want to be bothered opening the tank up and checking it, instead told me I should fill a bucket myself to test the amt of hot water -(Bob McHugh did this himself and gave me all the info). Again, this guy was clearly looking for someone who would be fooled that his "I'm just trying to give you the full picture" line was helpful, instead of seeing through his act that a) he's lazy b) he's trying to soak you for as much as he can or c)has enough business that he wants to scare off prospective jobs that he doesn't really want to do, like mine. Save yourself time and peace of mind (not to mention money) and call McHugh's Plumbing!

+ -1 moreSomeone from Werle Plumbing came to the house the first time and fixed a leaky faucet, a flapper in a toilet, and took down information to check on a wobbly toilet-seat, which had no exterior way of tightening down. Mr. Werle called me the next day and told me what they had found out about the toilet-seat and gave me the options for fixing the problem. I opted for a new toilet, Mr. Werle suggested a couple of dealers that I could visit to select what I wanted, I did that, and he picked the toilet up the day it was delivered to the dealer. He came to the house and he and an assistant installed the new toilet. They were prompt, clean, polite and got the job done. I also asked him about another job I wanted done: insulating the hot water pipes in my basement, we discusssed what could be done there, and he was back within the week to do that job. Again, he and his assistant were prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. From the first phone call to the end of the second job was approximately 2-3 weeks (the time it took for the new toilet to be ordered and delivered plus the time it took Mr. Werle to purchase the supplies to insulate the pipes in the basement). I was delighted to find someone so professional and quick to respond.
Description of Work: They came in to work on a poorly-designed toilet seat and also to replace a flapper in the toilet tank. In order to fix the seat, Mr. Werle told me my options and I chose to select a new toilet and have him install it, It was installed within a week (on the day the supplier got the toilet in). I also hired Mr. Werle to insulate the hot water pipes in the basement.

+ -1 moreThis was a month ago and they are still fine. We are very pleased that we did not have to replace these two toilets. He also told me that if we did have to replace these toilets he could get us a comparable toilet for less than $500. They were quick, clean, professional and cleaned up well. This was seamless! He obviously knew what he was doing and saved us $850. We would absolutely hire them again.
Description of Work: I have two older toilets that were clogging once a week. I had two companies take a look at this problem. The first company said they were too old and suggested replacing them at about $500 each. Mr. Werle was my second estimate. He came in with his associate and went right to work. They evaluated the situation, replaced some innards in one toilet and cleaned out both. He explained that with hard water it builds up. He told us we don’t need to replace the toilets. He suggested trying this first and then seeing what happens.

+ -1 moreMr. Werle was very honest. He could have done the repair and it would have been okay for just a short amount of time and then started leaking again. He also charged me a very fair price for coming out and removing the toilet and diagnosing. I would most certainly use him again. Unfortunately this is causing a major overhaul of the bathroom for us but Mr. Werle is honest and professional.
Description of Work: Upstairs toilet was leaking into basement. Thought it was a simple seal repair/replacement; however, when Mr. Werle came out we found out that the floor underneath was rotten and there was nowhere to secure the bolts properly. He was unable to do the work necessary to make a good and permanent repair as sub-floor needed to be replaced.

Paul and his assistant arrived early and even drove an hour round trip in order to get the right parts to finish the job. He answered all of my questions pertaining to why the leak started and what I should do in the future to prevent it. He and his assistant were personable, professional, and experienced. My living room ceiling now has a 1' square hole in it, but there was already a hole due to the leak. He provided me with a name and number in order to have the drywall patched. I would definitely recommend Werle Plumbing to anyone in the area. It's worth the money to have someone experienced fix it right the first time!

In addition, he is respectful of our home. After his plumbing jobs are complete, he cleans up so well that is it difficult to tell he has been in the house! He takes real pride in his work.

+ -1 moreI was very happy with his service and would definitely call him back. He explained everything he was doing and advised on how to deal with other plumbing issues that I asked about. He was fortunately cautious about tearing into walls, as it probably was not necessary in order to correct the original problem.
Description of Work: I had a small leak from an electric fixture in the ceiling and suspected a drain leak from the bathroom above. Paul and his assistant Art came out the next day and discussed the problem with me thoroughly. We decided against tearing up walls and he advised on how to diagnose the problem better. I think the problem ended up being from a roof leak, never seen before probably because it was due to a one-time freezing rain. While he was there, he fixed a leaky kitchen faucet and repaired a pressure valve in the bathroom. He took apart another bathroom leaky faucet, but did not have the proper replacement cartridge. He advised me on how to find the part and replace it.

+ -1 more5 a.m. on a Sunday morning: from upstairs I heard a waterfall downstairs. When I investigated I saw water pouring from the ceiling and through a light fixture into a utility closet. It continued until we thought of calling the water department (Cleveland) and waited for 30'-45' for a person to answer. We were told how to shut off the water in the basement. I called Werle Plumbing Sunday afternoon. Mr. Werle was at my house 9:30 Monday morning. He and another man had the work finished within the hour. Mr. Werle also gave me info I requested about a kerosene heater I had purchased, while the other man worked on my 3-way light timer that had gone out in a power outage.
Description of Work: Opened ceiling where water had poured out, found a water pipe that had frozen and split. Replaced pipe.
