$5,000
After 2 weeks, Frank informed us that he was $2,000 over budget.  After 2 1/2 weeks, he said that he was done and a cleaning crew was set to arrive in 2 days.  Before the cleaning crew arrived, a family member drove 2 hours to Chagrin to check on the house.  To his shock, he found the house in a total state of disarray.  There was paint splashed everywhere, including on the fireplace brick and multiple doors.  A wallpaper border that was supposed to have been removed in a bedroom was simply painted over and the paint was already curling from the wall. Right in the middle of one wall, the paint color was switched.  We had just replaced all of the light switch plates in the house.  The outside 1/2 - 1 inch edge of each of these was covered in paint.  Electrical outlets that were supposed to have the polarity reversed were simply capped off.  $280 was charged for removal of moss from the roof, but there was still moss visible (we took pictures of everything).  A mirror in the bathroom was cracked and then glued to a backboard to cover it up. I could go on and on...it was a disaster!!!  Three family members had to come in from out of town and camp at the house for a week to repair the damage Frank had caused and to complete what he had not.  Two of us sat down with Frank and arrived at what we thought was a fair price to pay for the little that he did do. Frank agreed to that amount (less that $1,500).  Before my parents could even pay him, though, they received a letter from a lawyer saying that Frank needed to be paid close to $3,000 immediately and if they did not, he would place a lien on their home and they would not be able to sell it.  He was blackmailing my parents!!!  Everything has been turned over to the Ohio Attorney General's office...we want them to press charges against Frank for scamming the elderly.
Frank Finney's handyman operation is a complete joke.  DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!!!!

Yes, I recommend this pro
He is used by a lot of people that I know. He's very nice and polite. He's very knowledgeable and came very quickly. It was a plumbing emergency that he was very respectful of and he helped me out right away. I've only worked with him once, but I'd call him again for sure.
