Dan is excellent. He comes when he says he will. He and his assistant, PJ work very hard, very rapidly and accomplish a great deal in very short order. The quality of the work done is excellent. I highly recommend him.

Dan Johnson of Johnson Home Improvements was a phenomenal partner. On time, professional, honest, reliable. Dan and his team provided quality work that all of our friends and neighbors compliment us on. He transformed our house into a home with attention to detail every step of the way. Could not have asked for a better team and will definitely use them again! They completed renovations in our kitchen and three bathrooms all in 9 weeks!

Dan and his helper PJ were prompt, professional and personable. They were on time and were "green minded" in the cleaning of the deck and were a pleasure to deal with. They both worked diligently and were flexible with us about the pest guys visiting the same day. Dan as the owner couldn't have been nicer. Would have them back in a heartbeat for any improvement work. Very very satisfied.

It went very well, and we discussed his coming back to do some carpentry, some power washing, and replacing a window. I am elderly, and Dan is pleasant, works efficiently, and prices fairly, so I will be calling him when I need jobs done in the future. It's rare to find someone with his versatility.

Overall project was well done and completed timely. However, what would have been a very positive review was ruined by two issues. First, Dan tried to substitute inferior painted aluminum sheet instead of the PVC material quoted for a portion of the project. When I indicated that the aluminum was not satisfactory (the paint was already chipped on one piece) or according to the contract, he provided the correct material. Had I not complained, I would not have received what was quoted. The second issue, which I now see has been cited by several other reviewers, is that Dan does not honor his quotes. Dan original provided a quote for the project and indicated that there may be additional costs if the hidden portions of the original structure were not sound. When the hidden portions of the structure were exposed, there was significant rotting. Dan provided a revised quote due to having to replace the entire structure. So far, so good. The problem was at the end of the job, Dan added more charges for "underestimated labor and materials" that should have been included in the original or revised quote. He said he expected me to be "fair to him" and pay the bill despite never having raised an issue during the project and despite the final project being completely consistent with the original and subsequent revised quote. Be aware that Dan considers his quotes approximations and subject to revision at the end of the job at his sole discretion despite this not being disclosed in his quote terms. It is too bad that an otherwise good project was ruined by the quote not being honored despite the project scope having no changes except those covered by the revised quote.

Johnson Home Improvement Services did a fantastic job. Dan completely gutted our bath, removing the old one piece shower, vanity, etc. He installed a new concrete shower base, cement board on the walls, and tiled the floor and shower walls. When unforseen problems were encountered, I was offered several alternatives for solutions. Very professional and conscientious. Dan finished ahead of schedule. We will definitely hire Johnson Home Improvement Services again!

Awesome!! A++. I am living out of state which can complicate things but Dan has been very easy to work. He does excellent work, is reliable and very professional. I will hire him for any of my future projects!

He was responsive, courteous, and professional. Lots of people are scared of working on older homes but this was not an issue for him. He had a solution for both doors and waterproofing our garage. He worked quickly and didn't require supervision. We would not hesitate to call him again for small work or even medium/large projects in the future.

Dont waste your time with this guy, he is either out of business or doesn't need the work. Tried contacting him a number of times and even sent an email which is suppose to be for "fast responses". Didnt even have the courtesy to reply to email saying I'm not interested. I dont understand that, it takes literally 1 min, if you are running a business that is the least you can do.

It went wonderfully. Dan came in looked at what needed to be done. Gave me a start date and a finish date. And a cost. He began on the date he said and the job was finished on the date he told me it would be. He and his helper were pleasant and the entire process was exciting as I got to see the progress. I would hire him again in a minute!

Fantastic! Dan came in and looked over the work. Asked some questions, told me when he would start and when he would finish. How much it would cost. He and his helper showed up every day on time, They were very professional, very nice and polite gentlemen. They finished the project on time and budget. They went above and beyond. I am sure not many men would carry spiders outside to turn them loose for a woman. When I need other work done around the house, I will call them.

He was so easy to work with and reliable! He helped me work out kitchen design ideas and was patient. He worked every day, straight thru until the job was done as ND He was so easy to work with and very reliable! He worked quickly and his work is great quality - installation of cabinets, hardware, sink/faucet, backsplash tile, bathroom vanity/faucet, and Pergo flooring. I had major issues with a few Home Depot appliance deliveries and he even stepped up to install some of those for me. He helped me work with the quartz countertop people to design what I wanted and kept in communication to make sure it was installed asap. Everything looks great!

Most of our communication was via email, which was fine for me. He did not give us an itemized quote, but did provide general numbers for replacement costs (wood vs. vinyl brick). Ultimately, we chose Dan for his lower price and expertise. Scheduling went faster than expected. I was expecting to schedule a few weeks out, but during our emails Dan said that he was available the next day. Dan came out with another worker, PJ, at around 9:30 and went over the various parts of the job before he left for other quotes. PJ did a great job of replacing the old rotten pieces and caulking. On the second day, Dan remained to do some of the more intricate parts of the project, and again gave us advice and information about what he saw and what we could expect in years to come. We did a final walkthrough and noticed a piece that we overlooked, so they fixed that right away before heading out. Dan is respectful and knowledgeable, and I would absolutely hire him again for another project. For a bigger project, I might have requested a more detailed quote, but based on the estimates of other professionals, I know Dan gave us a good price and quality work.

I was thrilled with my experience! Dan responded to my request for an estimate promptly - coming over in the evening only a few hours after I called. His price was fair, he and his coworker PJ showed up on time each day, and worked hard the entire time they were here. They did great work, cleaned up the job site, and were very courteous. Dan was very helpful, and even gave me advice for some DIY projects I mentioned I might take on. I highly recommend Johnson Home Improvement for any job, big or small, and I will have them back out in the future for some other projects we have in mind!

Dan took three rooms down to the studs including the ceilings in two rooms. He installed about 25 recessed lights, a double oven, a downdraft cooktop, and other appliances. He removed paneling, installed a sound bar and speakers as well as updated my dated fireplace. This is the second time Dan has worked on my home. He will be back. His work is excellent, he is affordable and he is trustworthy. What I really like is that he always goes the extra mile. For example I had water getting into my sunroom. Not only did he fix the inside area where water was getting in, he went the extra mile and went outside to ensure that the flashing was installed completely to ensure that I would not have problems in the future. He could have fixed the inside and not worried about what was going on outside. This is an integrity issue for me and says a lot about who Dan is and his work and is why I keep calling him back. I have more work for him to do

The finished product is fantastic, everything we wanted came true. The initial contact and review of work were very professional. We chose Dan, the owner of Johnson Home Improvement Services, because he was professional and impressed us with his confidence and knowledge of what needed to be done. We had a good idea of what we wanted and Dan's suggestions helped us clarify our ideas and wants into a cohesive project. I cannot say enough about the work ethic of Dan and "P.J.", his helper. They showed up when they said they would, worked a full day without breaks and "lunch on the run". The project was completed on time and within the budget. a testament to Dan's initial estimates. They were courteous and professional always. Disruption to your daily life during projects like this can be nerve wracking. This was easy, little disruption. The quality of their work was SUPERB. They dealt with the many materials required with no problem. The tile work was outstanding and beautifully done. The finish work is precise and detailed, Dan always consulted with us when design or esthetics were concerned. The end result is beautiful and we are enjoying our new Bathrooms. I can and will recommend Johnson Home Improvement Services to anyone who is considering a remodeling job in their home. I give them an "Excellent" rating in all categories with no reservation.

Dan was professional and proposed an alternative route to feed the cable into the house that worked out well.

Dan did outstanding work. I cannot say enough good things about him. We plan to do remodeling in our kitchen and bathrooms in the next few months and Dan is the only person we will call. We have had various contractors work for us throughout the years and Dan is by far the best. We were lucky to have found him here on Angie's List.
